Overview
Overview
TitanChat is a chat management and formatting plugin, its high flexibility is what makes it special. Instead of having a large bulk of hardcoded supports for other plugins, an addon system was implemented so that addons, custom channels and external commands can be coded to support other plugins and add new features. The built in commands in TitanChat help make your chat management task easier. Channels can also be disabled to have your old global Minecraft chat, but giving you more control over chat.

Currently busy with school, but v5.0.0 is still being worked on.
12.08.13
12.08.13
TitanChat v4.1.0 will be the latest until the rewrite is completed to release v5.0.0. This rewrite is started due to the messiness of adding new features and functions, even though v4.0 should have improved it a lot. This should not be an impact to users since this is not a usage change, although the command system will be overhauled to become easier to understand. Sorry in advance for the lack of releases for the time being, and thank you in advance for your understanding.

Can you add an feature to clear chat and the ability to voiced people lock chat temporarily?
There is now an "Announcement" section, please read it from time to time to see if it has updates.
@An___Idiot
Currently, the order of priority of affixes are in this order:
If Vault is not found or affixes are not set or is empty in the permissions plugins, TitanChat looks in the meta setting of participants. But if it is set and is not empty, it is used. Remember, Vault is required for affixes from permissions plugins, they are pulled from Vault. If Vault, for some weird reason, is caching the prefixes, which I know it doesn't, TitanChat will also be using the same.
TL;DR TitanChat gets affixes with Vault.
Regarding bChatManager, there is a reason there is a "b" in front of it.
Why do the prefixes not change when I modify them with bpermissions? Does the plugin store the text in some kind of cache? bChatManager seems to update prefixes immediately.
Love this project, can't wait to use it when it updates to 1.6 :)
Holy Hell where has this been hiding? I'll check it out soon but this looks powerful enough that I can finally replace mchat and still have the formatting I want!
@ryvix
PurpleIRC has come a long way you should check it out again, however TitanChat does not work well with it currently in my experience.
CraftIRC was my first, then MonsterIRC now PurpleIRC much much nicer config and can do a lot more!
@austindkelly
I had that but it kept freezing my server due to some sort of timeout.
@austindkelly
The cut-off is most likely due to word wrapping inside TitanChat, I will add a line length option in the config in future versions. Word wrapping currently splits lines by amount of characters, and since Minecraft characters have no specific length (depends on the texture), I cannot precisely split it to the correct length, resulting in relatively short lines. Also, each colour is considered 2 characters, which I will need time to find a way around that.
with build #15
I am currently seeing lines like this http://i.imgur.com/9Cj5lmQ.png
in the case of an owner my suffix seems to cut things off http://i.imgur.com/usgcLpz.png
my config.yml - http://pastebin.com/vFM08VZT my global.yml (channel) - http://pastebin.com/CBvg2rPL
I can not figure out how to turn on debugging it just say syntax error when i try. build #16 nothing at all gets sent to chat, no errors show build #10 and #13 both throw async errors about 16 character limit, #15 is the only one that I can get get work. (even though its not really working properly)
@ryvix
Works with purpleIRC
@NodinChan
Wicked, thanks =)
@ryvix
Planning to make it when I'm done with TitanChat v4.2.
Hey! Does anyone have a way to make this work with CraftIRC yet? I think maybe an addon has to be made but I'm not sure how to make one yet. I will have to see if nobody has done it yet.
@RossGosling
Depends on what teams from where. And the shortest command to speak in a local channel would be "@channelname message".
I'm looking for the ability to have 4 teams auto joined into 4 channels to speak but when the player types /local Hello, anyone within a set range can hear.
@elkidz
Give suggestions for what tags to add, I'll write an addon for it.
I have a question. There is any Format Tags for "Factions"?
@NodinChan
Yeah I couldn't find it when I went back to find it again lol, not sure why, sorry about that man
@Mr_Wired
Player display names and list names can only be 16 characters long. Fixed in the latest build so that you can't give them names longer than 16 characters. Next time, please leave me the link so I don't have to search for it.
Edit: Jenkins broke, new build will be built when it's fixed.
@NodinChan
I named it 'Problem With Titanchat' but it's in there now :)
