This plugin is based off of garbagemule's plugin MobArena.
Thank you so much for the inspiration and jumping off point! I couldn't have made this plugin without you :)
Also special thanks to:
tommytony and his plugin War
echeese and his plugin FlatLands
@Netu
you can place a sign under a block and this will happen, it will not be instant, but it does work.
@behgonn
Oh, well that's strange. Thank you for your helpful response!
@HeyItsZenith
Could we have it so the below could be accomplish with signs? I'd much prefer users to walk onto a teleporter and get beamed into the PVP arena/spleef arena, instead of "choosing" to go to a map via a /command. Or does this exist? Sorry for my ignorance! ;)
The map you create is not gametype specific.
Create with /tc new [name] (generator).
When you create a new game you must choice in which game type.
e.g. /tc newgame [map/temple_name] [gametype] = /tc newgame arena spleef
@HeyItsZenith
This is sort of embarrassing to ask, but I honestly can't find out how to do this: how do I create a temple of a different kind? E.g. I want to make a spleef arena or a PVP map.
/tc new [name] (generator) (type) did not work. E.g., /tc new testarena flat spleef OR /tc new testarena spleef
I can't find in the documentation how to do it (and I'm pretty familiar with it by now!).
Thanks to anyone who might help me with this!
@Dark_Arc
War and/or MobArena?
Could you do something like this with worldguard regions? Like build an auto resiting area save it and have it be restored when everyone leaves the area? This would be awesome for arenas and war servers :)
@detcox
This seems like a very nice feature. I just need to think of a clean way to do it.
@sf952
Today? Haven't tested everything yet, but I have a dev build at least.
Edit: I'm thinking of bringing back a simple Arena game type. I'd really like to somehow add MobArena support, but the fact that this has instances makes it difficult. The hope is to make general game types that can be applied to many things. I'd like to add team specific abilities (boundaries, breakable blocks, etc.) and different ways to declare winners. Maybe make a sign where you can put an item id and team on it and if it detects that block or item at that location it triggers a win?
@Netu
yes i would like to see the ability to "spawn" in a new location (set by temple creator) in the real world after your crawl though the temple other than spawning in the same location as you entered.
idk maybe a [TC] sign in the real world with (temple name) on second line ( game mode) on third and (exit) on fourth to allow for different exits for diffident game modes. after the sign is created right click it to save/assign the exit point to the temple.
along with the feature in my earlier post.
@detcox
Sure! Here is the link.The configuration is: Diamond Block on Gold Block = Temple End BlockEdit: Wait, you want a separate exit for the dungeon itself, not an exit to the dungeon different than the entrance. In the "real world" as it were, you want players to exit the dungeon onto a different block. Now that is a feature that should be added! My fault for misunderstanding. ;)
@Netu
hey great. i still do not see any info on it however could you give me an example on how to set this up?
Interested to know when new game types will be available?
In particular the Team PvP.
What other game types are you considering including?
@detcox
2 exists already. Just use the appropriate block type from the configuration page. I do this all the time, and it is awesome! ^_^
2 things i would love to see and 1 error...
1. could you add a cmd or config option to allow players to keep the same inventory when entering and leaving the temple. this way on rpg maps that have "class mods/plugins" the player can bring with them there own weapons rather than have to select a class. also would be nice to have this because it would allow us to have temples were you can pick up drops and gain items from chests (rather than the just reward block).
2.could you also add a way to have a configurable exit spawn location. to allow rpg maps have there own temple/cave area were you enter the temple at the "cave entrance" and fight your way to the end and when you leave you spawn on the other side of the "cave". so players have to fight there way to new locations on an rpg map.
if ether of these are in already could you post something on to how to set it up?
and the bug/error it seems the mob sign spawner is not working right i have a temple with a sign mod spawner setup with the first line as [TC] the second line Ghast and the fourth line as 5. the range works fine and i love how i have a big empty room and when you walk in poof a mob! however it spawns a random mob each time and i do not know why. maybe because I'm using CB1559 but i don't get any console errors....
hey man. this is so awesome we are going to b using this on our server. hope all works well with it in 1.0 and everything. need to figure out all the awesomeness you have in this but ya. lol you need a new tutorial :P well it's awesome man hope to see more implemented. :)
@UrNowKoed
Sounds like a problem with permissions. Are you using a permissions plugin? You do /tc edit [templename] and then /tc findsigblocks (range)? You need to be in a temple to use /tc findsigblocks.
For some reason, whenever I import a temple, it works, but when I go to edit it by doing the /tc findsigblocks command, it says "page 1 not found", and doesn't do anything. Also, when I create a new temple, I cannot build in it, even though I'm OP'd, am in the owner group, and am the "owner" of the temple. Any idea how to fix these problems?

As for me implementing bosses myself. I like it. Maybe in the next update or two.
Is there going to be (in a far or near future) a way to make sort of boss mobs ?
@HeyItsZenith
I tried to create a new temple and everything's working fine. So I will finish this temple as an OP and the others with a regular user. Thanks for the help.
