Downloads
I'm too lazy to upload TARDIS files to Bukkit anymore, as builds are automatically created when the plugin is updated and changes pushed to GitHub.
Version specific downloads can be found here: https://tardis.pages.dev/download
Please make sure you are using the latest Spigot/Paper builds (for the Minecraft version you are running) before installing TARDIS or creating an issue!
What it does
TARDIS is a plugin that gives you the ability to create a Police Box that lets you time travel (teleport) to random locations. It adds a Whovian twist to the typical /sethome and /home commands.
As a player, you can:
- Create a TARDIS that is bigger on the inside.
- Time travel to a random location.
- Time travel back home (where you created the TARDIS initially).
- Save and list interesting time travel locations, so you can return to them easily.
- Take companions with you when you time travel.
- Make your TARDIS blend in with the Chameleon Circuit.
- Use your own schematic to build the TARDIS interior
- Grow new TARDIS rooms
- Use Artron Energy
- Remote control the TARDIS
- Custom TARDIS sounds with companion Resource Pack
- Custom TARDIS textures with companion Resource Pack

Installation
As a minimum, just drop the TARDIS.jar, TARDISChunkGenerator.jar (look under Additional Files on the download page) and any optional plugins listed below into the Bukkit plugins folder and start your server. For more detailed instructions see: https://tardis.pages.dev/installation-v5
Optional installs
These are not needed for TARDIS to function, but enhance the plugin with extra features...
- Install the TARDIS-SoundResourcePack in the Minecraft client to hear custom TARDIS sounds
- Install the TARDIS-Resource-Pack to see aal the fancy textures and models (requires TARDIS v4.2 or higher).
- Install the TARDISChunkGenerator plugin so that you can generate TARDISes in their own self-contained world (included on the TARDIS plugin download page under Additional files).
- Install WorldGuard to automatically protect your TARDIS from griefing, and stop mobs spawning in TARDIS worlds.
- Install TARDISWeepingAngels to add some Whovian mobs to the game.
- Install a Permissions plugin, so that you can restrict or grant players the rights to use TARDIS’ different features. We like PermissionsBukkit.

Bugs / Requests
Please post a ticket for TARDIS plugin requests and bugs, thank you :)
WARNING: I am no longer prepared to waste my time looking at incomplete tickets. If your ticket does not follow the guidelines set out below, it will be deleted immediately!
Make sure you have read the FAQs first, as your question may already be answered there. Also make sure you have searched for a previous ticket with the same/similar issue (use the Filters to search closed tickets).
If you are going to create a BUG ticket you need to supply relevant information (as I'm not a mind reader, nor do I have access to your server...) - as a minimum you need:
- Exact CraftBukkit version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis version
command if possible, otherwise copy from server log - Exact TARDIS version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis version
command if possible, otherwise copy from server log - The server log showing the entire error (as a paste or at Pastebin - NOT a screenshot) - this should be the log from when the server starts up right through to when the error occurs
- If no error in the log, then a video of the bug happening or the EXACT steps needed to reproduce the issue.
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/config.yml file or other configuration file if relevant
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/TARDIS.db file if relevant
- List of other plugins on server
Stats
Basic statistics are collected for some versions of the TARDIS plugin (v2.5.8 and earlier). You can opt out at any time by setting opt-out: true
in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml
External web access
Version 2.8 (and higher) of this plugin includes a translation feature (the /tardissay
command) that connects to the Lingva translation service.
You can prevent players from using the command by removing / not giving them the permission tardis.translate
I have to manually add the TARDIS Plugin onto the server because I use MC ProHosting, and i installed the correct version for my server, but when I try to do a command it says an internal error has happened. I can't seem to be able to access the config because I can't find the base file, Only the TARDIS.Jar in my plugins folder, but when I click it, it just redownloads the files. How do I fix this?
EDIT: I looked through the console and it said the plugin is disabled...How do I enable it then?
In reply to _ForgeUser18521475:
Did you install TARDISChunkGenerator as well? It's under 'Additional files' on the TARDIS file download page. The server log will generally tell you why TARDIS couldn't enable, I suggest you read it...

Thank you, Found the file.
Is there away for an admin to move a players TARDIS without haven them do it? A player ended up getting temp banned for briefing and other things but his TARDIS is now stuck at a players base and i'm not sure how to move it without removing the tardis entirely
Also is there a way to add myself as a players companion in a similar scenario?
Help is much appreciated and I apologise if i'm being dumb here
Edit: Also if it's not any trouble is there a config setting to disable mobs being spawned in a players TARDIS? because it causes an unholy amount of lag and other issues to do with balancing on other plugins. thanks again!
In reply to Forge_User_42164354:
I should have asked this question years ago; is there a way to tell if the the tardis mod and all of it's enhance mods are up to date with out having to fish around the internet for them?..... I'm not complaining, just curious if there is a more easier way 😉
In reply to Kaijudo:
Whenever I update a dependent plugin it will have a commit message here: Bleeding edge changes/commits
In reply to eccentric_devotion:
Thank you! I knew there had to be a better way.
In reply to Kaijudo:
Or here: http://tardisjenkins.duckdns.org:8080/job/TARDIS/changes
Thanks for world management system
Is World Guard not up to date or am I doing something wrong. I thought I got the latest version of world guard from the link you provide, but I get a error message on my server telling me it's out dated.
Also is the Multiverse plugin no longer needed for this mod? I know it use to be an enhancement for the mod, I use to use it to create new worlds to travel to in my tardis; can I still do that or is there a new way with out Multiverse ?
In reply to Kaijudo:
Get WorldGuard here: http://builds.enginehub.org/job/worldguard
Get WorldEdit here: http://builds.enginehub.org/job/worldedit
Always the latest versions (which TARDIS compiles against).
Multiverse is no longer required, but is still compatible.
TARDIS can manage its own worlds and add new ones as well.
To add a world: /tardisworld load [worldName] <worldType> <environment> <generator>
eg /tardisworld load test_nether normal nether
Options in orange are optional - leaving them off will give you a regular overworld.
See http://eccentricdevotion.github.io/TARDIS/world-management.html
In reply to eccentric_devotion:
Thank you for your help. The links worked like a charm and my server is working with no issues :)
That's great; I can make worlds with just the tardis mod. You always improving this mod, man... Excellent work!
how do i disable travel to other worlds i want to disable travel to a creative world
In reply to MasterQuentus:

In reply to eccentric_devotion:
kk thanks
Thank you very much :)
and thank you for you on going support for this mod. It's a must have feature for my minecraft server.
Can I still download the jar files off of Jekins?
Is there a list that shows everything I need and should have for my tardis server. i know the install instructions are right here on this page, but I always thought those might be a little outdated (I could be wrong).
In reply to Kaijudo:
Yes, Jenkins builds are still available
I updated the installation page a few days ago...
In reply to eccentric_devotion:
Thank you!
Is it safe to assume that the I could also downloaded the latest TARDIS Jar on this page or just always go with the latest build on Jenkins?
Also, when it comes to the updated install instructions; does it also include the the companion mods that are recommended to enhance the fun of your tardis mod?
