Downloads
I'm too lazy to upload TARDIS files to Bukkit anymore, as builds are automatically created when the plugin is updated and changes pushed to GitHub.
Version specific downloads can be found here: https://tardis.pages.dev/download
Please make sure you are using the latest Spigot/Paper builds (for the Minecraft version you are running) before installing TARDIS or creating an issue!
What it does
TARDIS is a plugin that gives you the ability to create a Police Box that lets you time travel (teleport) to random locations. It adds a Whovian twist to the typical /sethome and /home commands.
As a player, you can:
- Create a TARDIS that is bigger on the inside.
- Time travel to a random location.
- Time travel back home (where you created the TARDIS initially).
- Save and list interesting time travel locations, so you can return to them easily.
- Take companions with you when you time travel.
- Make your TARDIS blend in with the Chameleon Circuit.
- Use your own schematic to build the TARDIS interior
- Grow new TARDIS rooms
- Use Artron Energy
- Remote control the TARDIS
- Custom TARDIS sounds with companion Resource Pack
- Custom TARDIS textures with companion Resource Pack

Installation
As a minimum, just drop the TARDIS.jar, TARDISChunkGenerator.jar (look under Additional Files on the download page) and any optional plugins listed below into the Bukkit plugins folder and start your server. For more detailed instructions see: https://tardis.pages.dev/installation-v5
Optional installs
These are not needed for TARDIS to function, but enhance the plugin with extra features...
- Install the TARDIS-SoundResourcePack in the Minecraft client to hear custom TARDIS sounds
- Install the TARDIS-Resource-Pack to see aal the fancy textures and models (requires TARDIS v4.2 or higher).
- Install the TARDISChunkGenerator plugin so that you can generate TARDISes in their own self-contained world (included on the TARDIS plugin download page under Additional files).
- Install WorldGuard to automatically protect your TARDIS from griefing, and stop mobs spawning in TARDIS worlds.
- Install TARDISWeepingAngels to add some Whovian mobs to the game.
- Install a Permissions plugin, so that you can restrict or grant players the rights to use TARDIS’ different features. We like PermissionsBukkit.

Bugs / Requests
Please post a ticket for TARDIS plugin requests and bugs, thank you :)
WARNING: I am no longer prepared to waste my time looking at incomplete tickets. If your ticket does not follow the guidelines set out below, it will be deleted immediately!
Make sure you have read the FAQs first, as your question may already be answered there. Also make sure you have searched for a previous ticket with the same/similar issue (use the Filters to search closed tickets).
If you are going to create a BUG ticket you need to supply relevant information (as I'm not a mind reader, nor do I have access to your server...) - as a minimum you need:
- Exact CraftBukkit version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis version
command if possible, otherwise copy from server log - Exact TARDIS version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis version
command if possible, otherwise copy from server log - The server log showing the entire error (as a paste or at Pastebin - NOT a screenshot) - this should be the log from when the server starts up right through to when the error occurs
- If no error in the log, then a video of the bug happening or the EXACT steps needed to reproduce the issue.
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/config.yml file or other configuration file if relevant
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/TARDIS.db file if relevant
- List of other plugins on server
Stats
Basic statistics are collected for some versions of the TARDIS plugin (v2.5.8 and earlier). You can opt out at any time by setting opt-out: true
in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml
External web access
Version 2.8 (and higher) of this plugin includes a translation feature (the /tardissay
command) that connects to the Lingva translation service.
You can prevent players from using the command by removing / not giving them the permission tardis.translate
@eccentricnz
I used your tool as I am experiencing the same problems. Here are the results. I know these are centered around 1.4.2 because it was working perfectly in 1.3.2

thanks for the great plugin btw :)
The command / tardis save [number] [name] make the point with the coordinates of the Home. Help!
Were you inside or outside the TARDIS when you ran the command?
Been watching this plugin since you started and I only just noticed you're a New Zealander :) Ho Ho Ho.. Peace out Brother
@Boxfriend
Okay, let's try this one, still debugging to see what is actually 'null' so we can fix it... it will output to console again, post here when you've clicked the button!
De-bugger!
@eccentricnz
ah, cool.
@Boxfriend
Wasn't expecting the error to change... but now I know a bit closer where the error is actually happening
@eccentricnz
It didn't even show what the error was, it still had the same line as it did without the the debug version.

@Boxfriend
Try this version of the plugin: TARDIS-Debug
It contains some debugging output to the console - you should get something like this:
Post your console output here after you click the TARDIS stone button...
@eccentricnz
i'm now only having problems with the random travelling problem. i just went ahead and made a new tardis (just by logging onto the server as someone else and making a tardis) but i still can't travel using the repeaters and button (unless i'm travelling to a save location)
it's throwing this error: 00:54:34 CONSOLE: [SEVERE] Could not pass event PlayerInteractEvent to TARDIS v1.6
and nothing else. it didn't even have a second line like the other error.
@Boxfriend
Just tested TARDIS using the same plugin setup as your server and works as it should, so here is what I suggest you do:
@eccentricnz
exactly. i only get the two lines that i previously posted. i don't know why i don't get any others though, it doesn't even tell where the error is, except for the event that won't work.
@Boxfriend
So there are no other lines after the error such as like this one:
http:dev.bukkit.org/paste/6482/
@eccentricnz
that was all that it said for the error.
@Boxfriend
I need to see the entire error...
@eccentricnz
I usually do click the bottom half, but i went around testing both halves of the door on all three TARDISs on the server and the other two recognize when i'm right clicking the door and they say "the timelord who owns this TARDIS is offline" as they should since i was the only one online. but i can't seem to get in or out using the tardis key.
In the console, everytime i tried to get in with the tardis key i get this:
23:20:41 CONSOLE: [SEVERE] Could not pass event PlayerInteractEvent to TARDIS v1.6 23:20:41 CONSOLE: java.lang.NullPointerException: Name is null
i'm not entirely sure, but i think this might mean an undefined variable (i'm not very familiar with Java yet)
@Boxfriend
I've just noticed that the top half of IRON DOORS don't seem to recognise a RIGHT-CLICK action, I'm just trying to debug now... Have you tried right-clicking on the bottom half of the door to get in? EDIT 2 - this is a minecraft client issue... if you are standing too close to the door the client returns a RIGHT_CLICK_AIR action and cancels the event because the block/item can't be placed! - Solution - stand back a bit!
Will set up a test server with the same plugins as you and see what happens!
@eccentricnz
My current plugins are: HerobrineAI, Heroic Death Plus, LoginSecurity, MobHealth, NightLight, NoCheatPlus (but i've had the problem since before i got this plugin), OrebfuscatorLite, PermissionsBukkit, PlayersInCubes, SafeExplosions, SimpleSpawn, SpongeRestore, SuperLogger, xTeam.
Oh, and now that i've updated, i can't enter my TARDIS by using the "TARDIS key" on the door, i have to now use /home to teleport to the bed inside of it, but in doing that, i can't make the tardis travel anywhere.
@Boxfriend
Can you list your other plugins please, and also any different world generators.
@eccentricnz
That didn't work, and it didn't work even before i had set my home bed inside of it. I'll get the update now and see it still doesn't work.
