How do I use it ?
Don't want to watch the awesome video ? Fine, here are the basic commands.
/mv create skylands normal -g SkylandsPlus
Or a skylands style Nether like this
/mv create skylands nether -g SkylandsPlus
Or a skylands style End like this
/mv create skylands the_end -g SkylandsPlus
Other world management plugins should have similar commands, I use Multiverse on my server which is why I only provide the instructions for that. The documentation for which ever plugin you use should tell you how to do it. You can also add a world by editing the bukkit.yml file, instructions on how to do that can be found on the Bukkit wiki.
Config
prevent-sand-falling: true restrict-mob-spawning: true
prevent-sand-falling - When set to true no sand will fall in skylands worlds.
restrict-mob-spawning - When set to true the number of mobs in a single chunk will be limited to a sane amount in skylands worlds.
Contributing
Contributions to the project are very much welcome, if you have a feature that you want implemented and know a nice way to do it then consider forking the repo and submitting a pull request. These will be accepted as long as the following simple guidelines are followed.
- Do not edit the structure of the pom.xml file, feel free to add a dependency if you need it but the formatting and structure should not be changed.
- If you are exposing a new API method, add a JavaDoc comment to it, but don't over-comment internal code.
- Follow the existing code style, don't antagonise over every space though !
All dependencies that are used are now available from a public Maven repo, so you don't have to worry about building several other projects just to add a simple change any more.

How can I get ores such as IC2 ores or RP ores to naturally generate?
wide_load, I have been thinking this through for some time now: Do you think it is possible to add the option to have the entire skylands be a mushroom biome (or a mixture of mushroom biome, default biome, and tundra biome) instead of the default biome? This way the mushroom biome has its own realm to which you can travel to via portal through Multiverse. Also, this hypothetical realm would need mooshrooms (also sheep and slimes, maybe, and POSSIBLY giants) as a regular spawned mob. This realm with the inclusion of the giant mushrooms would have some similarity to the worlds in mario. Just a thought.
@Royalgamer06 Open 'worlds.yml' in notepad (or other prog) and add (replace) the following lines:
Easier would be to create a new skylandsplus world:
@wide_load Thanks. :)

Anyone else having the bug where endless flat land is generated. =\ (happens when you travel a little distance after it's been restarted from initial generation).
Really is ruining the generated map around the edges. After initially generating map I can go for miles no problem, just after restarting it seems to generate flat lands. Any kind of fix for this?
@Andrich2000
Look the docs for MyWorld.
@Gimlao
Sorry, I'll remove it with the next version since the forcing the type to FLAT actually works now anyway. I was hoping to fix people's world that I may have broken.
Can you add myworld support? If it is how do u generate a skylands world? whats the command?
"No longer forces the world type to flat since that breaks biomes with the RB."
But now it forces the world type to default.
Could you not do that ?
We don't wan't that black sky.
Really.
I was modifying the world type to FLAT with NBTedit for nothing...
@NiallDoherty
Try it.
Any issues using this with 1.1-R3?
@uncovery
regen should work fine, if it does not it's a problem with WorldEdit and not me.
Please enable so that regen from worldedit can regenerate parts of the world as it was just like when it was generated, if that is possible!
@animationdemon
There is no way to set the world type to super flat. The plugin will do it for you for any worlds using the generator. That has been removed though since it seems to cause bugs with biomes. I'm looking for a way to have the server treat it as a normal world but tell the client that it is a flat world which should fix the void still but break less. There is no way the server can control the cloud height, that is entirely client side.
so im using multiverse2 and v8 of the generator, along with mc 1.1 and the CB RB 1.1 yet no matter where i search i cannot find a parameter to set it to superflat in multiverse in the gen or anywhere, some guidance would be nice :D
also would it be possible to include a feature to place the clouds at the y = 0? in the next version, if not is there a plugin that can achive this?
@gcity306
That can be a conflict with another plugin, try it with no plugins and just the server if that fails it;s most likely a bug with the IC2 server that causes custom generators not to work.
@wide_load
I think it doesn't work... Cuz it's generating the regular world :(
@gcity306
Assuming IC2 server is a modified version of Bukkit it should be fine. Just try it ;)
Will this suport extra blocks (added by mods etc.)? Because I would really use this for my IC2 server :)
