How do I use it ?
Don't want to watch the awesome video ? Fine, here are the basic commands.
/mv create skylands normal -g SkylandsPlus
Or a skylands style Nether like this
/mv create skylands nether -g SkylandsPlus
Or a skylands style End like this
/mv create skylands the_end -g SkylandsPlus
Other world management plugins should have similar commands, I use Multiverse on my server which is why I only provide the instructions for that. The documentation for which ever plugin you use should tell you how to do it. You can also add a world by editing the bukkit.yml file, instructions on how to do that can be found on the Bukkit wiki.
Config
prevent-sand-falling: true restrict-mob-spawning: true
prevent-sand-falling - When set to true no sand will fall in skylands worlds.
restrict-mob-spawning - When set to true the number of mobs in a single chunk will be limited to a sane amount in skylands worlds.
Contributing
Contributions to the project are very much welcome, if you have a feature that you want implemented and know a nice way to do it then consider forking the repo and submitting a pull request. These will be accepted as long as the following simple guidelines are followed.
- Do not edit the structure of the pom.xml file, feel free to add a dependency if you need it but the formatting and structure should not be changed.
- If you are exposing a new API method, add a JavaDoc comment to it, but don't over-comment internal code.
- Follow the existing code style, don't antagonise over every space though !
All dependencies that are used are now available from a public Maven repo, so you don't have to worry about building several other projects just to add a simple change any more.

@wide_load
Hey, i just generate a newly sky land and when i go bellow 64 i think the sky turns to black like the void and it seems that the whole world is filled with snow.
Could i change things like remove the ores?
or make it so its always day?
Thanks
@Dry_Taste
I think it will be +20 of what ever it normally is. You'll have to play around with it.
It also depends how the mod works, it may not support custom generators. Better of asking the developer of it :)
@wide_load Thanks for your reply, i didn't know it was that simple : o on what hight level do i have to set the generation?
@Dry_Taste
You will have to add the mod maker to add an option to make them generate higher up. Nothing to do with me really.
i like this generator very much! but can you add support for mod ores? because i use metallurgy for bukkit and mod ores won't generate with this generator : (
@Psyphil
The latest version should always be the most working one :) You can only pick one version number, it should work back to R1 really.
I run a server using CB 1.1-R3, which version should I use? v0.9 or v0.9.2?
@SneakySoV
Not easily, also I think they would be a bit too close to the ground. There is also the problem that if you put a floor under the islands the lighting calculations for the huge shadows kills the server.
Hey, for the next update of minecraft where the world height 256 is supported would it be possible to create skylands in a normal world at around Y 150-200? That would be a great new feature.
Woot got it working thx to junrall all i did was delete the files from Multiverse and skylands pluging files. let the server run . then did the /mv create skylands normal -g SkylandsPlus and Boom worked.. =)
will this be ready for R5?

Is there a way to manually set the type to "flat" in order to get the blue void? I've tried re-importing the world, and even changing the "environment:" variable in MV manually.
@Junrall
u got to tell me lol pls i spent weeks. trying this
Never mind.... not sure what I am doing different... seems to work now. Strange.
@DeadDragons
Ditto... just posted a Ticket for this.
Edit: Never mind.... not sure what I am doing different... seems to work now. Strange.
@VariousArtist
I hope to to some extent, no idea how it will work until the update it out though.
sorry for last post its just frustrating trying to get this work i do the /mv create skylands normal -g SkylandsPlus and it just makes a normal world... nothing like skylands i dontget errors. no nothing just a normal world
hello wide_load! Im really curious if you intent to utilize the new height limits that will come with MC 1.2? Spreading the islands over different height levels? Would be so fantastic!
@Gimlao
It will be put back with the next version. There is a bug with bukkit that stops it working.
