Description
Ever wanted to move a mob spawner? With SilkSpawners, you can now pick up and move monster spawners.
If you use a pickaxe with the silktouch enchantment you will receive the spawner again.
You can control each mob spawner, allow crafting and of course mod support.
I'm happy to hear about your opinion, just leave a comment with a feature request, bug, improvement or just a personal opinion.

Commands
Only the bukkit permissions are supported!
I highly recommend that you use a plugin for permissions like bPermissions
If no permission system is found, all commands are for OPs only!
If you suffix a mob name with egg you will receive an egg instead.

/ss help - Displays the help menu.
/ss list|all - Displays all available creatures.
/ss view - Displays information about the viewed spawner.
/ss reload|rl - Reloads the configuration files.
/ss change|set <newMob> - Changes the spawner you are currently holding or viewing at.
/ss give|add <player> <mob> [amount] - Gives a spawner or egg to the player. Amount is optional.
/ss selfget|i <mob> [amount] - Gives a spawner or egg to you. Amount is optional.

Known Bugs
- If sign shops are not working, you may want to try my custom sign shop addon: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/12028/
- Mobs like Ghasts or Giants are too big for the spawner, this a Minecraft bug and I can't fix that
- Some older Essentials versions/ports are not updated properly for 1.8. There is a maintained fork called EssentialsX you should try.
- If you use Gui Sign Shop and users are unable to place spawners, you need to grant them the guishop.spawner permission from Gui Sign Shop
- Holographic Displays makes Slime spawners non functional
- UltraCosmetics, causes some spawners to non function: https://github.com/iSach/UltraCosmetics/issues/259

Disabling bStats
The file ./plugins/bStats/config.yml
contains an option to opt-out.
The following data is read and sent to https://bstats.org and can be seen under https://bstats.org/plugin/bukkit/SilkSpawners
- Your server's randomly generated UUID
- The amount of players on your server
- The online mode of your server
- The bukkit version of your server
- The java version of your system (e.g. Java 8)
- The name of your OS (e.g. Windows)

Since (Craft)Bukkit is not on 1.5, neither the mc-dev repo I had a quick look at an older snaphot (13w02b, since mcp does support this snapshot)
I don't modify the spawner logic, just the name, this field "mobID" is still in the source.
But I can't tell you any details until I can decompile MC 1.5 ;)
If you have any sources, feel free to share them!
Any luck updating this for 1.5? They split the mob spawner logic out of the tileentity.
It's giving me some issues :(

No, guess you could use the WordlGuard blacklist for example with the skeleton ID behind the item number.
Also, there is currently no check for skeletons or nether skeletons spawner, they are all the same, a nether skeleton spawner.
Is it possible to blacklist placement for skeleton spawners in the Nether?
For some reason, my players(with the correct permission), can not right click a spawner with an egg and change it. Do you have any suggestions?

Mining spawners. Adjust these values and to prevent the dropping of the spawner set minSilkTouchLevel to something higher (e.g. 2)
Hi. What would I have to do to allow when the mob spawner is broken, only XP, iron bars and eggs are dropped, but not the actual spawner? Been trying to configure this for hours but just can't do it.. thanks.

You can change the default of a mob spawner in the config to another mob.
Then in you shop plugin just sell plain mob spawners (52) and they should be a spawner of the creature you defined in the config.yml!
Is it possible to set a spawner to a default spawner? Trying to start an spawner economy, but setting the shop to "Mob Spawner" is not working, and i cannot figure out how to set them to default

this plugin looks great. i'm keen to try it out. a couple of quick questions:
using another plugin (mobcatcher), it's possible to capture mobs into eggs. so it's possible to catch zombies wearing gold armour (etc). the spawn egg appears to be a zombie, but the attributes include the zombie's health and armour info. if i placed one of these eggs into a spawner, would it spawn every zombie with gold armour?
if i have an egg, will it spawn every mob type? including spider jockeys and charged creepers? (all of which are able to be captured with the mobcatcher plugin)
edit: i installed the plugin, got the following error report:

This is an issue on your end - I guess permissions?
Since for example, SilkSpanwers doesn't check for a permission when a spawner is placed.
Players cannot place spawners, or eggs.

All these (I would consider them "special") entities are very strange.
I only change the spawner - the spawning algorithm is still handled by Minecraft and not by me, this leads into the issue that some entities like XPOrbs aren't working like you expect them, since they are not designed to be used in a MobSpawner (the Enderdragon for example is blocked by Bukkit, I need to bypass some code and use the original Minecraft code to allow all entities).
However, I won't touch the spawning configuration of spawners and doubt that I could get XPOrbs or Fireworks to work, unless Minecraft itself changes the code (like they did for boats somehow in the latest history)

The fireworks spawners only shoot the SMOKE and even that is really bad and lame looking. They dont actually use the fireworks which would explode and they wont even shoot up in the air :)
