I am testing this new page out. I am aware of some parts that are missing such as ship types, but please say if there is anything that you wish to see. I plan on making a FAQ's that includes common questions such as how to change ship requirements.

Ships 6 changes
Ships has gone through many changes, Ships 6 is the latest rewrite of the plugin. The latest rewrite fixes multiple bugs found in the root of previous versions of Ships.
Features
Moving ships
As the name of the plugin suggests, you can create your own ship and move it with just a single click.
Works with all blocks
There is a fully-fledged list where you can configure every block to react differently for the ships, including being able to add a block type to interact with Ships, detect it as a collide, and even not react at all.
Teleport to ships
There have been many requests to be able to teleport to ships for not only this plugin but others like it. This feature has been added to Ships, however, if it is something you do not wish, then you can disable to command by not adding the command.
Falling Ships
Ships will fall/sink if requirements are not met, this could be done through your own interaction such as running out of fuel, or by something else such as a TNT explosion.

In Ships, movement is done by signs. You can see all signs here
Collide types:
Name | ID | Description |
---|---|---|
Detect collide | DETECT_COLLIDE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the ship will not move with the error of this block being in the way |
Material | MATERIAL | Material means that you can build a ship out of this block and the Ships block detection system will detect it as part of your ship |
Ignore | IGNORE | If Ships detects this block in the way of a ship moving then the block will break and the ship will take its place |

So the licence sign is being coloured in? However when clicking on the ships sign it sayings that the block count of the entire ship is 0?
What version of Ships are you using (use '/ships info' to gain version number - please do not say "latest" as many people have said that and they haven't been, so I gave the wrong information) also what MC version are you using too?

Wow thats old. So the old ships werent able to get the structure size until after the ship moved. Therefore unless the ship has moved it will state its structure size to be 0.
Try and move the ship and it should update the size

I'm assuming you were meant to reply to your own thread instead of this one. However it seems you removed your original one.
I am assuming your comment is also about my comment on being more specific as I told you how to get the version information. What I mean by more specific is, what happens when you create a licence sign? does a error message appear? if so what error message? Do the colours not change?

I know what you mean. When clicking the sign it gives you the ships structure size (as you put it "How many blocks it's connects to"). In the older versions of Ships such as the one you have, this number is not produced until the ship is moved (if the server has just booted or the plugin has reloaded, this number will also not be produced). When the ship moves, the ships structure is updated, meaning that it now knows the structure of the ship and can count how many blocks there are on the ship, therefore giving you a number.
If a number is not produced (which is true for when the licence sign is created, the plugin reloads or the server restarts) then the message that appears will be that the ships structure is 0.
Therefore once you attempt to move the ship, the ships structure updates, allowing for a structure be counted, resulting in a number when you click the sign afterwards.

there is a known issue where changing the speed on the move sign causes that message to appear. This bug is fixed in the next update which is uploaded however awaiting dev.bukkit's approval so should be downloadable soon.
A temporary fix would be to have two move signs, when one gives that message use the other.
