Disclaimers
This plugin uses the Minotar service to display player avatars as the server icon.
SexyMotd v1.2 and earlier: In order to provide information about new updates, this plugin uses Gravity's auto updater service to query dev.bukkit.org for new updates. Updates are not automatically downloaded, but can be downloaded with the /bm command or by clicking the provided link when an update becomes available. Update warnings can be disabled by setting the CheckUpdates section in the config to false.
SexyMotd v1.2 and earlier: We use PluginMetrics by Hidendra to collect data about the servers running SexyMotd. This data is packaged and sent to report.mcstats.org in order to be processed. The following data is collected from your server:
- Your servers unique metrics id.
- The version of PluginMetrics.
- Your server's CraftBukkit version.
- Player count.
- Your computer's operating system.
- Your computer's arch type.
- Your CPU's core count.
- Your server's online mode state.
- The version of java you have installed.
Metrics can be disabled by changing the opt-out section in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml to true.
REQUIREMENTS
This plugin REQUIRES ProtocolLib in order to function! You can get it here: http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/protocollib/
@MisterWater
As many different texture packs and languages have different character sizes and spacing, a universal %center% variable is impossible. However, you can experiment with spacing on your own to create the effect.
Hey when you want to reload the plugin and your doing "/motd reload" it doesn't work. Use "/motd restart" to restart the whole plugin then it will refresh everything and work fine.
Thanks Qwertyness. Can you do an update that adds a %center% (wholesale center that word) please? It'll be great if you add it ! :D
Set EnableProtocolOverride to true and the text in FakeVersion will show in place of the player count.
How we put "Join Now!" instead of online players please?
@DerekZil
Could you elaborate?
What exactly isn't working right? Error reports? Config file? SMOTD and server version? Etc.
@Qwertyness
The %servername% doesn't work and I do not think it is working right. :(
@Qwertyness
RESOLVED: My ProtocolLib was outdated. I updated it and now it works fine.
@Sprindex
Is there a console error or any messages from the plugin in the console log?
Hey Qweryness. I was really looking forward to using the plugin, but on start up I get:
Failed to load SexyMotd-1.2.2! (Check console for details.)
Not entirely sure which 'details' I'm meant to check because that's all that is there. I'm running craftbukkit 1.8 with SexyMotd v1.2.2. Any ideas?
@IcyXHD
Make sure you are using the latest version of the plugin and try completely deleting the plugin and its data folder. After that, reinstall it and see if that helps.
I really love this plugin, whenever I try configurating something from the plugin's data folder, it doesn't register. I really would love to use this plugin, I'm using Bukkit 1.8.0, I did try re-installing the plugin, running the server without it and it still didn't work... Please help..
@xxIryanIxx
This plugin does not currently support isometric representations, but I may look to see if I can find a source for them and add it.
And I don't know of any specific plugins that support it.
With this, to my understanding am i able to make the normal playerhead icon isometric? if so... how and if not, do you know what plugin can
@Qwertyness
I understand, my bad. Can you skype me? kashi9000 will tell you more in depth
@Evandre0
@xOtter
This is the first I am hearing about it not working. You have to be a little more specific with the issue. Simply saying "It doesn't work" tells me nothing. I need a description of the problem, prodecure to reproduce, error reports, exact server version, SMotd version, relevant files, etc.
@Qwertyness
Does not work for me either
@Evandre0
It should work perfectly fine with 1.8 servers.
Hey ! Nice plugin ! But can you update it ? Because it doesnt work with spigot / bukkit 1.8.3 (maybe the new NMS)
Thanks -Evandre
@thebiggestM42
Delete the plugin and its data folder and run the server without it. Then try reinstalling.
