NBTEditor
NBTEditor allows easy customization of many aspects of Minecraft, through the modification of NBT tags, on Spigot and CraftBukkit servers. Creating custom potions and tools with powerful enchantments is as easy as running a few commands. And with the help of the Book of Souls, it's possible to create highly complex entities and spawners with ease.
Features include:
- Robust system to edit of all entities and spawners using a book based UI (Book of Souls);
- Conversion entities into '/summon' commands;
- Customization of items (name, lore, unbreakable, modifiers, colors on leather armor etc.);

Edit now, spawn later: The Book of Souls is most powerful feature of the NBTEditor, it allows for easy entity customization. Create bosses, custom villagers, flying creepers or anything you like. No data files, no one-time customization, just keep the book safe and you can spawn as many entities as you like.
Included is also an 'Item Storage' command to keep track of your Books of Souls and other edited items.
The variable system used by the NBTEditor ensures that only valid NBT changes are performed while providing a standard way to make those changes. Arbitrary NBT modifications are not possible.
All Items, Entities and Spawners are fully compatible with the Vanilla Minecraft!

Global Statistics
On version 2.0 the NBTEditor started using MCStats for usage statistics. MCStats is now offline.
Since version 3.0, bStats is used to gather general usage statistics. You can read here about bStats, what data is sent, and how to opt-out from sending statistics from your server.

Sorry for the wait, I've just uploaded Beta v0.0.2 for 1.5 and 1.5.1 (awaiting approval).
Adds support for ThrownPotions, and mob names ;) (Changelog here)
(Note: if you use BoS's from v0.0.1 they will not show the "name" and "name-visible" variables but you can still set them. When you make any change to the BoS they will appear.)
@daltonk7 The old format for the vel and pos variables was kinda stupid (it used semicolons), now (on v0.0.2) it's just 3 space separated decimal values, e.g: 1.23 5.68 3.0

On shutdown all my plugins broke with this plugin.
Hope you can update to 1.5.1 soon.

Cant wait for you to release the 1.5 version of this, only just found out about it but is easily one of my favorite plugins that I've been playing around with so far.
Infact I've tiptoeing my way around the parts that dont work because I simply can't wait :P.
Turns out the changes that you make to the BoS's still applies when you apply the books to mob spawners. However I still can't have names over the mob's head which is a big thing :D.
Take your time but at the same time hurry up ! hahah looking forward to the update when ever it is released !.

What is the format for adding a velocity to a book of souls/spawner I have the /bos var vel, but what goes after that?
Maybe tomorrow I will post an update to work with 1.5 dev, also adding ThrownPotions :)

Humm, that's strange, it's something wrong with the language... That kind of error should never had happened if you did not try to change the plugin language.
Anyway that means that you must be holding a Book of Souls to run that command. To edit the villager's offers you need to get a BoS for a villager (/bos get villager) then run the command /bos offers
Trying to edit a villagers offers and I'm getting the following error : nbt.cmds.bos.holding.
Any suggestions?

Yeah, sorry, I just noticed this was for 1.4.7 :P Edit: Also, really great plugin. It works flawlessly on my 1.4.7 server. Just a question, when do you think the 1.5 version will come out?

Ive encountered an error. The book of souls won't spawn the changes to the mob. it just spawns a regular, unedeted mob.

The command to put a lore is: /nbtitem lore add <your-lore>

Hey I have this plugin and I was wondering with the Nbtitem command, what does name/lore mean, like what do we put for the lore?
For now it's possible to edit all mobs, falling sand blocks (without extra data associated, that's only for 1.5), and dropped items entities, this is all done using the Book of Souls. Then you can just put any of these custom entities on a Spawner, or spawn them with left-click
And yes I intend to add support for thrown potions entities. And for version 1.5 I will start by adding the new variables for mobs, like the name and implementing the mounted entities.
I already sent the first version, it's just waiting approval.
For now i'm not looking for testers, this version is already well tested.
I assume this supports (or will eventually support) beacons, potions, spawner minecarts, and entities such as falling sand, paintings, and etc?
Also, I would happily be a Tester for Both your Plugins :), ;)
