Minigames
== NOTICE == 9 Aug 2016 ==
As most of you have already worked out, public support for this project has been non existent. Unfortunately with the workload of trying to manage and run a server network where minigames is only 1 out of what feels like 1000 projects we maintain... It gets hard trying to find time to help everyone.
But fear not this project is indeed not abandoned! We have moved the project to SpigotMC:

++Update Note Aug 2017++
Please Note I have provided updated downloads for all versions back to 1.7 .. We are trying to get some idea of what versions people are running still and what we need to focus on...updating will help us target our product improvements.
The files section contains various version downloads OR you can dowload them : - here

- Treasure Hunt - A global treasure finding Minigame that is always running
- CTF - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame.
- Infection - An expansion to the Team Deathmatch Minigame where the infected players must kill all survivors.

Purpose:
Minigames was created for players to play games within a server and win prizes for completion, also to let players play PvP games without the risk of losing their hard earned items and XP. Minigames also reward players for completing each Minigame, or with PvP Minigames, the player can be rewarded with 'bets' that players make before they start the Minigame. These bets can be in Economy money or preset items.
These Minigames can be created in any style the player wishes, for example, parkour jump puzzles, mazes and treasure hunts. As well as PvP games like CTF, races and more. You are given a lot of options to add to each Minigame individually, so they are all completely customisable.

Metrics
This plugin utilizes Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- And the amount of players playing games. Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.
Minigame Mashup:
We Be Pirates (Teaser)
Basic Region & Nodes Tutorial
Can you upgrade to 1.9 please ?
@TNTUP
Any progress/success to your patch? Could you link the download?
Any updates on 1.9? Is it possible to implement more features with title commands, and maybe a variable in the region & nodes server command for identifying the player who activated it? And why doesn't it show who won the minigame?
@Dnw7
Darn :/ We'll wait if he releases it or checking with those dev builds, I,ve opened an issue
EDIT: I've forked it and I did my own fixes (I suck at java) and no console errors and it works. I don't know but I guess its not allowed to release the fix I did but its for my purposes and I cannot say its fully working
@TNTUP
I have tried several different builds including the latest dev build. Can't seem to get the minigames to function like before though, always the same error upon finishing a game.
@Dnw7
Try the dev build?
Wondering if the devs for this are still around.. certainly hope so because this is a great plugin and has worked for the longest time with our server. Hoping for any kind of news related to the errors in 1.9, as the closest I've come to getting it to function only runs into problems with being unable to quit, not being sent to an end/quit position upon finishing the minigame and the scoreboard staying on the screen. Been dreading 1.9 release knowing this all was going to happen :/
in 1.9 not work this plugin
I update my server to Spigot 1.9 today and minigames gives long error during boot in log, is there a dev version that will work?
plz add spectator gamemode
Is there a way to specify which loadouts a player can use in the permissions?
Was it supposed to say who won the minigame? Cus its not showing...
HELP ME
whats t the command to set your minigame game type eg. FFA teamdm spleef
How do u do it I cant find the command anywhere
@0ct0ber
I figured it out, thanks! Btw how does the party thing work?
@AtracadorThe
You can do this with an alias plugin.
@Archmohaa
Could documentation for v1.8 changes be added?
Also, I'm having some trouble with capture signs. [Minigames] flag capture doesn't seem to be working properly.
Guys wanting an update for the plugin please use our latest dev builds at http://jenkins.addstar.com.au/job/Minigames/
All our fixes and additions are there. It still runs fine on our server.
Also some of your requests already happen to be in the latest minigames / regions changelogs.
Also use http://jenkins.addstar.com.au/job/MinigamesExtras/ for a couple of experimental extras including libsdisguise for using disguises in loadouts and other cool stuff.
Really sorry direct support has stopped. Running our own server network during our free time while still having to have fulltime employment takes up more time then we could possibly give already.
The plugin is still being kept up to date though. I may post an updated change here sometime but you can always follow all our updates and fixes directly from our jenkins build server
Minigames Cannot compatibility with health-bar plugin????
Please add a permission (minigame.join.full) that VIP can kick others from the server if it is full.
It seems I was wrong!
After isolating the development version of the plugin (Minigames and Minigames Regions) to a local server without any other plugins, I have found that the previously mentioned problem does not persist. It seems to work, and quite well.
If you are also having this issue, I will edit this comment once I find which plugin is interfering with it and causing the problem.
I solved my problem, maybe it will help you too...
The plugin that was causing my problem was ColorChat. It's quite obvious once I started eliminating plugins, but it added a colour code to every input making it not recognise it. You may have a similar problem and this may help you.
==== Original Post: ====
This plugin is very much broken.
Simple games will work fine. Most options will work fine, if you do not get too complicated.
Loadouts do NOT work unless you're using the default loadout, which means all teams have the exact same stuff.
Regions do NOT work. Some simple options will work, but anything that needs a user input, such as activating a remote region, will not work. After looking in the files, I have found that this is because everything taken from the user has a prefix of '\xa7a' or something similar.
For example, if you wanted to create a game like in the example video, where a capture causes a region to explode, you'd do this:
Create region 1-flag capture Create region 2-explode Go into region 1 and set it to remotely activate another region. This is where it'd ask you to type the name of the region you'd like to use. If you type in '2-explode' it would write to the file '\xa7a2-explode' meaning it would not find it.
This goes for loadouts and most probably anything with user input.
You can create two regions, set them up and go to 'plugins/minigames/nameofyourgame/regions.yml' and manually delete the \xa7a from the start of the name. This will fix it and make it work, although this is difficult to do for many games.
Other than that, pretty okay plugin. Would like to see it fixed by someone who knows how.
If anyone has any problems setting a game up, shoot me a message. //
