MCTowns
MCTowns is a powerful way to manage towns.
- Create Towns, assign them Territories, and let mayors divide them up into Plots on their own.
- WorldEdit backend means you can use WorldEdit CUI and all of your favorite WorldEdit commands to create regions of any size and shape
- WorldGuard backend means lightning-fast performance and rock-solid stability
- Mayors can restrict town membership to only people they invite, or open it up to anyone who can afford a plot
- Saves you time and reduces the workload on your moderators!
- Mayors can manage regions within Territories that have been assigned to them
- No need to ask a mod every time someone wants to join your town, or you need a new plot created.

Metrics Collection
MCTowns tracks some stats about who uses it. They're primarily for me to feel good about myself when I see people are actually using what I make, or (in the case of bug reports) are so that I can improve the plugin so that I can continue to feel good about myself when I see people are using the plugin.
MCTowns uses MCStats. To learn what is collected and how to opt-out of collection, see the following official MCStats page:

Note that as of v2.1.0, most bugs will be automatically reported for you. See the page on Automatic Bug Reporting for more information.

Hey everyone. Just wanted to mention that automatic big reporting is working out pretty well, I've gotten more usable bug reports in the past 3 days than in the past month combined. I'll be actively fixing these issues as I get them, and you should start seeing a much more stable plugin.
Thanks for being willing to try out beta builds!
I've uploaded a beta build of v2.1.0. Feel free to download and try it out. Make sure to back things up.
You'll need to click directly on the "Files" tab, as beta releases don't ever get promoted to being the default download.
@arkd
At the top of this page, click "repository".
it would be nice if u had a github for this, then random contributers, like myself, can help you update through pull requests
Thanks! ;)
@JericM
I'll probably put up a development build for public testing within a day or two. Will be for minecraft v1.5

is waiting for "Players can join multiple towns" before installing and trying :)New things to look forward to in 2.1:
Both are mostly done, so if you think up anything cool, feel free to make a feature request.
@Everdras
awesome :)
@ArttuJarvinen
Yup
@Everdras
If you add several perks, can you please (remember) to make them optional? As a whole or individually.

@Everdras
"Soonerino" has arrived and v2.0.0 is up. Happy Friday, everyone.
@Everdras
In preparation for the v2.0.0 release, I've updated a lot of documentation. It's all still under the Usage link.
Expect v2.0.0 soonerino.
With 2.0.0 about ready to roll out, now is prime time to ask for any features you might like to see. Right now, all that's on the docket for 2.1.0 is allowing players to join multiple towns. While this is a much-requested feature, it's frankly not terribly exciting. So, if you have any ideas that would just be plain cool to be able to do, open a ticket about them!
I'm potentially toying with the idea of lettings towns gain little perks as they grow bigger. Maybe the town bank gains a little money each time a townie kills another player in PvP, maybe after a certain number of members you unlock the ability to have hunger not be consumed while a resident is in their home town, etc. Just little perks that will encourage players to join towns and care about them.
@BigCrafterServer
This plugin does nothing to world generation.
And i don't understand your second question.
One thing I want to know is does the plugin include other things like world generation or commands have to be put in other server files
@ArttuJarvinen
These are fixed in a test build, I'm just waiting on confirmation that one last bug is fixed before I release another beta build. If you want, check in the tickets for ticket #71, I linked someone to a release candidate build in the comments.
Also, in the future, please open a ticket when you find issues.
Hello Everdras,
I was just testing the updated version, and I encountered an issue with plots. It gives me errors when I try to set the plot sign positions, when I try to build the signs.
It also gave me errors when I tried pricing the plots, however I noticed in the log that it noted failing to locating the plot signs, so I believe that problem will be solved once you/I figure out the problem of the sign positions and sign building.
Here's a paste of the log.

@NiHZ
Districts were one layer too many in the hierarchy for most people, it seems. I had a lot of requests to take them out and simplify things.
Also, basically the point of MCTowns is that the admin partitions off the area for the town (5 mins of work) then the mayor is the one who gets to spend the next three days setting up 200+ plots. So, it can do that. If it's not, open a ticket, please.
Unless you mean normal non-mayor players getting to set up their own plots. That's a little too generous, I think, and would seldom be used.
Ah! I thought that there must have been a removal of Districts. I'm curious, is there a particular reason for this? I was looking forward to messing around with the Districts, myself, when I installed. I love the plugin! Just wondering why the change. I would have liked to be able to assign players to Districts and let them create their own plots to sell. I'm not sure if that was possible before, but that's what I had in mind when I started to mess around with it.
@Everdras
Alright, that's what I figured! Plugin seems to be working great.
