ANNOUNCEMENTS Updated 10/2019
Hello guys,
several years have passed since the last update here. But now i will be change it. Me , Bl4ckSkull666 ( old name Papaharni or Papi too ), work now on the plugin to update it to the newest version of minecraft.
What's currently done? I added 2 new job groups. reworked few job groups.Reworked the jobs. Moved Database from old cache system to read friendly yaml/mysql support. Added Multilanguage support. That mean you can translate language file in multiple language and let your user select the language. You set default language in configuration, but the user can change it to a available language for him self.
Hmmm okay, whats new too? You can, currently only manual in the job files add a region and message that the player displayed on enter this region. The message can be a string with | for new line. Or use spigot message, if you use a spigot server, In Spigotr message u can build buttons and much more. And new is the NPC message, the message is same like on region, but it can be different messages. It can be activate on click the npc. To work set a sign with [mcjobs] in line 1 and in line 3 the jobnname below till 7 blocks on the npc. Users can now click it to see the message. Other one is the free Signs. For Description please read THIS
If you have a question, need help or will be report a error. please use the Discussion Thread ONLY . Thank you!
Sincerely,
Bl4ckSkull666

Description
You have developed great shops with a shop mod or you use citizens as NPC shopkeepers, you have a repair shop, or you have a block protection system that uses an economy. But that begs the question "How do you pay your players?" Well you could just give them money, but what fun is that? That's where MC Jobs comes in. It's a full fledged player job mod where you choose how much they get paid and for what activities and they can earn money by doing those tasks. It's fully customizable by server admins, but for those of you that just wish to plug and play it has 20 built in jobs that covers about 90% of the blocks and entities in the game. Remember:
If you need cash get a job!
Features
- Ability to join or leave jobs
- Obtain higher levels in jobs to earn more.
- Charge or pay players for doing actions on the server by default. You want TNT to cost to use. You can! It's in Taxes.
- Earn XP through jobs by default.
- Earn money through jobs using any of the economy plugins
- Ability to edit, create or delete jobs in the config.yml file
- Multi World support
- WorldGuard region support
- Utilizes craftbukkit's built in Materials List
- Uses craftbukkit's built in Entity Type List
- Uses custom Potion List
- Uses custom Enchant List
Commands
/mcjobs = Allows all the user commands such as joining and leaving a job. /jobs = Alias of /mcjobs /mcjobsadmin = Allows the administrative commands. Reloads the addon or gives/takes a specific job from an online player or group if using Vault. Options are: reload, defaults, add player/group job, remove player/group job, list player/group. /jadm = Alias of /mcjobsadmin
Instructions
Installing is simple. Copy mcjobs.jar into your worlds plugin folder and restart or reload your server. Players can then join up to three jobs (modifiable in config.yml). To join use /jobs join job_name . The default jobs are:

ranks:
default: 1
denizen: 3
builder: 5
(the group): (max jobs)
@jai01rus use /eco command to cheat money
How can I set the max jobs to each rank? Does it has any permissions like mcjobs.maxjobs.RANK ?
@jai01rus
wrong plugin , check your vault plugin. Like iConomy / Essentials or other like
how to give myself money?
im an OP and owner of the server
@roracle
You can make a Ticket but i don't think that the Author of this plugin will be do any. He's offline since a half year. And before the last login he was a year offline. ;-)
@PapaHarni
Could it be?! I like money to be based on items in game, not arbitrary values that make it worthless. IE: a gold ingot costing 100 is easier for everyone, while on run-away-economies it may be worth 100000000 which no one could buy, so I like keeping it all tight knit.
I'm sure others would benefit from this, as well. Could I ticket a feature request?
@roracle
Bank Account is not supported by McJobs.
How do I make it pay out from a server account? I don't want unlimited money!
@Absentee23
I have added it now , but i don't know it is work correctly. I cant test it. My Server is 1.6.4. this version of server have no uuid support btw uuid support is bug.
My current version have no admin commands but the multilanguage,database (yaml/mysql) and all functions for users and jobs will be work fine.
== All that you do from here, you do at your own risk ==
For Transfer all Jobs to yaml/mysql and installation of the McJobs :
1. BackUp McJobs folder. ( Remove all after backup but not the dat folder and there files , you need it to convert. )
2. Stop your server.
3. Download the McJobs.jar >>> McJobs.jar
4. Download the McJobsDBCast.jar >>> McJobsDBCast.jar
5. Put both files into plugins folder of your server.
6. Start your server to generate the new config files.
7. Stop your server again.
5. Configurate the file config.yml on McJobs folder.
6. Configurate the file config.yml on McJobsDBCast folder ( only you want to use mysql as Database )
6. Start your Server again.
7. Go Ingame or in Console and type /mcjobscast dat ( what you want now to use as database >>> yaml or mysql )
8. Restart your server a last time.
Your users can change the job language with /jobs language (wished language)-
You can add more language on language.yml. Its easy ;-)
I hope everyone understand it. My english is very poorly :-D
Is there a way to have mcJobs pay out from a server bank account? My flow I'm looking in to using is this:
Player mines/smelts gold, Trade gold to bank for economy cash, Buy land in Towny, Towny money goes to server account (built into Towny), and I would like that server account to pay out to the Jobs. Gold traders get a 8% tax, Diamond traders 15%. These taxes go to the server bank account. Emerald farmers can make deals with the bank where they are given a hefty sales tax that may be as high as 99% would also go to the server account. These emerald farmers will likely be a big server's bread and butter, as most money paid out to jobs will come from these emerald farmers. Everyone pays taxes to get $ and all that goes to the server account to pay out to mcJobs.
The theory is to only pay jobs if there is money, and there is only job money if there are town plots being bought or regulated metals being traded. So imagine mcJobs now as "paid server construction" if you will. Paid by the server, but only if the players are participating in the economy.
Also, and optional, is it possible to make it where it works with Towny, where you can't make money unless you're in your town?
@PapaHarni
Could you please put up binary .jar releases on the github when its ready.
Are you going to be adding UUID support? (plz say yes! :p)
@MajikalBlood
Do u mean this?
So reading Conjurer job...How does one even get Unbreaking IV and Unbreaking V?
@Ninja_enderman99 With this Plugin u can add jobs and level up it. Is not a quest job plugin.
Is this compatible with citizens, and chest commands? so when i right click the NPC a GUI pops up and you can confirm the job, and when completed you give the items to the NPC? little confusing i know just wondering if anyone knows.
@insidiator444
use :
Jadm addlevel [playername] [jobname] [levelToAdd]
@insidiator444
I'm working on a more compatible and multilanguage version of this mcjobs.
You can find it on GitHub.
@Flarupspige
i'm beginning to think its because its not completely compatible with the versions we are running.
RathelmMC, Are you still planning to update this plugin? At least to 1.7?
@insidiator444
I have the same problem :/
