ANNOUNCEMENTS Updated 10/2019
Hello guys,
several years have passed since the last update here. But now i will be change it. Me , Bl4ckSkull666 ( old name Papaharni or Papi too ), work now on the plugin to update it to the newest version of minecraft.
What's currently done? I added 2 new job groups. reworked few job groups.Reworked the jobs. Moved Database from old cache system to read friendly yaml/mysql support. Added Multilanguage support. That mean you can translate language file in multiple language and let your user select the language. You set default language in configuration, but the user can change it to a available language for him self.
Hmmm okay, whats new too? You can, currently only manual in the job files add a region and message that the player displayed on enter this region. The message can be a string with | for new line. Or use spigot message, if you use a spigot server, In Spigotr message u can build buttons and much more. And new is the NPC message, the message is same like on region, but it can be different messages. It can be activate on click the npc. To work set a sign with [mcjobs] in line 1 and in line 3 the jobnname below till 7 blocks on the npc. Users can now click it to see the message. Other one is the free Signs. For Description please read THIS
If you have a question, need help or will be report a error. please use the Discussion Thread ONLY . Thank you!
Sincerely,

Description
You have developed great shops with a shop mod or you use citizens as NPC shopkeepers, you have a repair shop, or you have a block protection system that uses an economy. But that begs the question "How do you pay your players?" Well you could just give them money, but what fun is that? That's where MC Jobs comes in. It's a full fledged player job mod where you choose how much they get paid and for what activities and they can earn money by doing those tasks. It's fully customizable by server admins, but for those of you that just wish to plug and play it has 20 built in jobs that covers about 90% of the blocks and entities in the game. Remember:
If you need cash get a job!
Features
- Ability to join or leave jobs
- Obtain higher levels in jobs to earn more.
- Charge or pay players for doing actions on the server by default. You want TNT to cost to use. You can! It's in Taxes.
- Earn XP through jobs by default.
- Earn money through jobs using any of the economy plugins
- Ability to edit, create or delete jobs in the config.yml file
- Multi World support
- WorldGuard region support
- Utilizes craftbukkit's built in Materials List
- Uses craftbukkit's built in Entity Type List
- Uses custom Potion List
- Uses custom Enchant List
Commands
/mcjobs = Allows all the user commands such as joining and leaving a job. /jobs = Alias of /mcjobs /mcjobsadmin = Allows the administrative commands. Reloads the addon or gives/takes a specific job from an online player or group if using Vault. Options are: reload, defaults, add player/group job, remove player/group job, list player/group. /jadm = Alias of /mcjobsadmin
Instructions
Installing is simple. Copy mcjobs.jar into your worlds plugin folder and restart or reload your server. Players can then join up to three jobs (modifiable in config.yml). To join use /jobs join job_name . The default jobs are:

@Liger_XT5
No i don't mean the prize. I have changed all jobs ;-) The Job to hit monsters and animals will be ignore the world configuration and permissions.
If u open it with WinRar or other extracting program u can see many language yaml files.
chinese.yml chinese_alt.yml danish.yml danish_alt.yml dutch.yml english.yml french.yml french_alt.yml french2.yml french2_alt.yml german.yml russia.yml russia_alt.yml spanish.yml spanish_alt.yml swedish.yml swedish_alt.yml
Extract your file and edit it with your favorit editor. If u are ready and saved the file , copy it back to the jar file. Copy the jar in your plugin folder and restart your server.
Have Fun ;-)
@PapaHarni
If you want to set a price for killing mobs, take a look at the default Soldier job. It's listed under Kill I believe.
Otherwise, thanks for the info, but there is no Language file.
@Liger_XT5 Add the unknown value into your language file ;-)
@cbprog U can't i think, but with a own plugin u can use the Datas and u can work with it. Use com.dmgkz.mcjobs.playerdata.PlayerCache
P.S. RathelmMC , it's a great plugin but please work on it to add mysql support and every players with job to kill monsters/animals will be earn money on places who other actions like Block break don't earn money. That's not good. Please fix it.
Any news on an update?
Hi. How can i open the players data files in folder mcjobs/data? I'm interested in data the others players, being the administrator. But I can only see data about the work that he took ... without detailed data about his experience for each type of work. Maybe I can write data to a common format txt without encryption? Can anybody help me in this matter?
We are looking forward to an update soon. We've got issues where new MC added items don't show up in the /job JobName list properly, such as carpet, shows as Unknown Value:ItemName. They still seem to work, but players get confused and looks displeasing. I understand the warning, but nothing we can do to fix it.
Due to the increasing loss of data I had to remove MCJobs from our 1.7.2 server. My players are very sad about this. Wish I knew java......
Hi, @THCFrosD: I have also 1.7.2. server and my soldier (i renamed it to hunter) works fine.
But alchemy jobs doesn't seem to work. There is also a problem with baker. I don't receive any payments for brewing, or baking. Is there something to do with this, or just need to be patient
@RathelmMC
?
@Elithelion
I had same thing happen few days ago, his player file simply vanished. Luckily had backups to grab from but not sure what caused it.
@Mysticforce12345
I have the plugin on my 1.7.2 server and it runs with no problems. Only one I have noticed that doesnt pay out is soldier.
@MrDucks2000
Unless the Bukkit team has switched the way calls work it's not possible.
@thernztrom
I don't really have a time frame because I started taking apart the code to rewrite a bunch of sections. Like I said I'd like to get the mod at a point where when minor changes are added to bukkit that end users can make the changes as needed.
Does this work with 1.7?
When I make sugar with the Baker job, I have to make it one by one. Please fix this so I can just shift click and make it all at once. Thanks!
I have had random player stat resets also. only 1 player gets reset...very odd
Hope it updates soon! it is to buggy now. Mcjobs will keep resetting everyone's jobs and levels along with McMMO's levels. Do not use this right now unless you want to keep restoring levels!
@RathelmMC
Awesome! Any ETA for the next update? :)
@Elithelion
./jadm reload Or you could use a Plugin Manager.
The job is marked as default, it is even blue in the list, but I can join it and leave it. (Could it actually be that OPs are exempt from having default jobs?)
Glad to see it hasn't gone the wayside. Would be nice to have a reload command to reload the jobs without rebooting the server.
@stgram:
in the jobs.yml there is a line under the taxes: tree that says default:
it should say true to be a default job (just like bulldozer).
@RathelmMC
I cant figure this out; I have the default job taxes in the config, but no one has it by default, even though it is in blue colour. A player may join it, or leave it, but it is not automatically persistent, like it should. Any ideas what am I doing wrong?
