Effect List
Enchanting
An enchanting command is in the making, but at the moment, other enchanting plugins or inventory editors must be used
- EasyEnchant - see the Exception section in the config to enable/disable
- Tim The Enchanter - /enchant command for ops
- Auto Enchanter - set "unsafe" to true in config
- General - supported in v4.3+, enable in config
If you know of any other compatible plugins, let me know and I'll add them here. (If you're writing an enchanting plugin, use addUnsafeEnchantment() and ignore canEnchantItem(), then it should be compatible with EnchantMore.)
Limitations
- Not all enchantments reasonably combine with one another
- No permission support
- Some effects are overpowered or unstable; be careful!
For all known issues or to file a new bug see Tickets.
Permissions
All permissions are in this form: enchantmore.<category or item>.<enchantment>.
Item names are identical to those in the default configuration file, for example enchantmore.flintandsteel.aquaaffinity.
The method that forms the permissions can be found here on the GitHub source.
Notes
Slot Data protocol reference
Other relevant plugins of interest pertaining to enchantments:
- Sublimation - silk touch ice, no longer overpowered
- SilkSpawners - pickup and move mob spawners with silk touch
Got a cool idea for a new effect? I can't promise I'll implement everything, but all suggestions are welcome! Feel free to discuss your ideas below, or open a ticket for more specific requests. Including the specific item + enchantment name is appreciated, preferably from the available wanted effects list.

Testers For EnchantMore 2.0
A huge thank you to the following people for helping me get EnchantMore 2.0 tested and finished!
GitHub
@DSH105 It is not working and I have the version 1.5.1 RO.2
@Thighman
@Palkia1208
I sure can. But there are other priorities first ;)
@Varijon
Permissions part already done :)

@Thighman
That would be amazing!
would you maybe be able to add some effects from spark trail to some of the enchantments when you use them?
@DSH105
thanks
@DSH105
Ah, okay
I had to remove the folder too for it to generate a config. If you have an empty EnchantMore folder, it won't generate properly.
Did notice you added quite some options, that's always cool.
But yeah, the plugin had a ton of bugs even before that one bukkit commit finished it.
I'm mainly concerned about certain actions not being logged (due to the blockbreaks not triggering?), as it ruins the Flame tools, which could be perfectly legit player tools.
And ofcourse, permissions, luckily they can only get FireAspect2 onto their bows, but still messy xd
The edited one I made for myself when 1.4/1.5 came out was very messy, but adding permission nodes wasn't that hard to do.
@Varijon
I'll clarify a few of the main issues...
First off, bows and flint and steel don't fire any interact events when the player right-clicks air. It's strange but unfortunately something I can't fix. And for the config file, try deleting the whole folder and restarting your server, without using the 'reload' command. If that doesn't work I'll have to rewrite the config generator. Permissions and crafting recipes is something I hope to add in the future.
For the things I didn't mention, most of them I didn't know about, as they had not been resolved in the previous release, but I will get onto them as soon as possible. Thanks for reporting :)
These bugs are the reason why the plugin is still in Beta. It's the incomplete WorldGuard protection and and events that prevent me from uploading a 'Release' file.
Hiya,
Haven't tried everything yet, but ran into these pretty fast:
Flame pickaxe does not get damaged server-side when it mines something that has different drops (eg iron from ironore) (This bug has been present before)
Since I don't have hawkeye set up, can't really test.. but we couldn't use this enchant with the old version. Unbreakable pickaxes.. not end of the world, but it also doesn't trigger block break events and doesn't get logged by any logging plugin? Just something to check because I can't right now. (I think same goes for most blockbreak affecting enchants?)
Efficiency bow still does not consume arrows, regardless of infinity or not. So it generates arrows. Then again, it hasn't worked in ages, at all, before.
Knockback chestplate actually works now, doesn't just have a chance to instantkill mobs, that's cool and all, but it is not affected by any knockback due to sprinting etc. I think you're just decreasing health and cancelling the actual hit event? Because it doesn't aggro any mobs.
Same goes for knockback leggings, where knockback is important.
The crazy stuff for looting pickaxe is still there, planks drop logs, diamondore drops diamondblock etc.
Interacting with air is something that many enchants really need, wonder how other plugins do it?
Configuration does not generate, the file does, with the commented header, but actual settings are not there.
The baneofarthropods bow causes poison effect in a radius, while this is decent (as opposed to only struck entity), but it means it ignores pvp settings. Also goes for aqua affinity bow, while not as dangerous.
I haven't seen the configuration, but would it be possible to have permission nodes for each special enchant? I had this in a version I edited because some servers have a seperate creative world and ever since the anvil/books, they can create dangerous/annoying weapons.
I'm not trying to attack or anything, I greatly appreciate someone finally made it all work in 1.5.1, but not really seeing improvements over the old version.
I hope you can fix these issues over time, I'm not really holding you responsible since I don't think they were all documented, if any at all.
Greets,
Varijon
@gkhkehe
Using one of the plugins mentioned above.
how do i enchant my tools
@EncryptedCurse
These are not enchantments that vanilla Minecraft would not support. For example, Swords cannot usually be enchanted with Silk Touch. I'm not sure I could achieve adding them to enchanting tables without rewriting the enchanting mechanics.
Is it not possible to add these into enchantment tables?
@ClassifiedLife
I've been trying to think of something to give you enough credit. Any ideas?
no thanks to the testers for helping :/
