If EchoPet is not loading on your Spigot 1.8 build and your server is outputting "Skipping loading of EchoPet as it does not work with Spigot 1.8 builds!", please try running a later Spigot patch. I can't do anything about older Spigot releases blacklisting the plugin (preventing it from loading).
The future of this plugin is still being determined.
Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.
EchoPet is a simple Donator Perk plugin designed to add Pets that follow players around on their adventures throughout Minecraft. All Pets are custom entities spawned and controlled by the plugin.

EchoPet comes with an auto-updater to save you, as a server owner, from continually checking this page for new files. It simply connects to dev.bukkit.org and compares the versions of available files. If you do not wish for EchoPet to perform this check, navigate to the Configuration File (config.yml) in the EchoPet directory of your plugins folder and change "checkForUpdates" and "autoUpdate" to "false". The first value disables the version comparison altogether and the second updates the plugin automatically if new files are detected.
Metrics is used to collect plugin statistics. Only data such as plugin version and players online is collected. If you do not wish for this data to be collected, disable it in the 'Plugin Metrics' folder of your 'plugins' directory.

Well, i see why you have only seen those two, thats what i "normally" get, (uninstalled also), but sometimes, a plugin will runover the exact coords, and it releases a cascade of those two lines repeatedly. One plugin is dynmap, very often used. If you want a view, look at the snipped file attached of a server.log. This is how it looks from the console.

I don't mean to sound like I'm pressuring but when is the next update, so it's compatible with 1.5.2? it's giving me and error in the console.

For those thinking I'm not doing anything, here's a progress update on EchoPet 2 =P. Take a look at this picture. At the top is the old plugin (1.0 to 1.5) and underneath the "EchoPet 2" folder is the new file. Note the difference in size ;).

There's actually a 1.5.2 compatible version uploaded, it just hasn't been approved by BukkitDev yet. It's a Beta file because of the multi-world issue.

None-mob pets might be something different and interesting. I'll look into compatibility with the plugin setup. I can't promise it though. And name tags are currently being left configurable on server-side only due to the fact that it provides server owners with more control over the type of display. Thanks for the suggestions ;)
Sorry you're getting stressed out about this because of derps. =(. Our players love this plugin, as well as your other plugins. I got spammed in game with the wrong location thing, wanna know what I did? I asked my players to go get their pets or do /pet remove. Super simple stuff. Let me know if you need a place to blow stuff up on to vent a little bit.
C'mon guys. A little courtesy towards someone that has something on here, that, need I remind you - THAT YOU DON'T PAY FOR! Voice your concerns, but don't be a dick about it.
These guys, and other devs like them put in so much time into projects and for what? To be verbally abused? Enough.

The entity stuff isn't that much of a problem really, I just /remove entitys. Please have a dev page or something :) ignore the spammers about the entity stuff, would really like an update for 1.5.2, keep up the good work.

@DSH105 I have noticed this plugin to be very popular on many of my favorite servers thanks for the awesome plugin! I have suggested something though which would be semi simple (I hope) to add in that would be plainly awesome if you did, Such as an Ender Crystal along with an Eye Of Ender and hopefully something awesome like custom sized Slimes because Slimes can actually be generated in sizes 5X the sizes of Giants along with suggesting a giant or sprites that float around your head like Link for legend of Zelda which you could just use the largest EXP orb for that and sprites which could be a silent invisible mob with particle effects so it resembles sprites. There are many types of awesome pets you many not yet thought of misc pets will throw this plugin over the top so they might even be used more often in more public servers which I would also like being able to disable names in the configuration file or being able to turn its name off with a commant like /pet nameoff and /pet nameon to beable to disable and enable it per person.

EchoPet is not getting updated until the multi-world issue is fixed. People have pushed me to this point, so everyone else will have to wait now.

I've created one lost pet intentionally for testing purposes and restarted the server lots of times. It only produces two lines on server startup. Nothing else. Doesn't seem like much spam to me so obviously something else has happened that you're not telling me of. I don't know how you expect me to fix an error without telling me what's causing it.

I understand, it might be frustrating to get such message, but i do have reported earlier with info, i have now - look at file attached to post, and i have submitted request for getting information when you come up with something. I did download your latest version, only with the same result. I was kinda getting used to it, since it "only" spammed in console twice an hour or when dynmap was running over it. It did not help to remove the plugin, it kept spamming. So i thought, i can just have it installed in case should need it for trying to remove a pet. Then, it happened to spam twice a second and would not stop. The only way i stopped one location for repeating, was to goto every mentioned location, and replace the area using worldedit from top layer to bottom layer except bedrock. You have gotten a lot af coordinates from me, which looks to be only 2 cases of pets. I just dont know how you can use this to help me out, or anybodyelse for that matter. I only gave pets out to VIP members, and the server has rarely 5 vip members at a time. only 2 ppl has a leftover pet. A curious question: If you nearly has solved this, why is it, that an admin cannot take presedence of an owners pet and disband it for him? I have tried the commands ingame and did not find it usefull for this kind of operation.

I am seriously threatening to abandon this project and maintain it privately for access only by the person that requested it. You obviously dislike spam, so why do you provide the comments with ample amounts of it? I have the issue resolved, which requires a complete re-structure of the plugin. And just incase you missed that, I'm going to say it again. I have the issue resolved, which requires a complete re-structure of the plugin. Got that? Because if you don't, disable the plugin. The entities are only at different locations to what they should be because of the difficulties of multi-world transport. I promise you, if you teleport to the exact output location you will find all of the 'lost pets'. I'm sure you can figure out that there is a way to stop your 'console spam'. And just for the record, it's useful information documenting exactly where the entities have been teleported to. If you have that many lost entities, then you obviously have not had enough initiative to report and temporarily disable the plugin early enough. I would also like to note that you are the only person who has posted numerous times in the comments with exactly the same issue, ultimately expecting an immediate reply, and has also made a post on the Bukkit Forums within only a few days of actually providing me with enough information to locate the source of the issue (proving your lack of patience for plugin development). Would you like to try a hand at the time involved with maintaining projects on BukkitDev? Am I supposed to 'abandon' my other projects too give more time for myself on this plugin, as a result of impatient users? I would rather take a fairer approach than that, which I hope you can see.
Take wisdom from your approach to reporting an error, for I suggest you improve on it. And just for the record, take a look at the last EchoPet update. What's the date on that? Now take a look at the date of when it was confirmed that world teleportation was the source of the issue. Pretty close right? Think about the halt in development your issue has caused, that first off didn't contain any suggestion as to where to look for a fix. Many antonyms of the world 'helpful' come to mind when thinking of that. At least I had some helpful posts saying that pets couldn't change worlds...none from you though.
I hope you liked my post, fungreenfox, for I do not usually generate this kind of thing for users of my plugins. I hand you a trophy for being the first person to do this.

Any world teleportation produces errors because Bukkit currently has no support for Entities AFAIK. It's easy for players, but I have had less success with entities.
DHS We use it also bud its A perfect Plugin Please dont not give up on it ! trust me it will be an important role in the mine craft community just hang in there . I already use two of your plugins.. KEEP up all the hard work.. will be adding you to the donation list soon thanks ...!
Oh. p.s I know your working on muilt vers pet errors. we still use eco pets Just we tell our players to store them before jumping worlds.. also we use Signs for warps no portals on our server.. still has the same issues hope its resolved.
