EchoPet
Important information on this project in light of recent events.
Quote from DSH105:The forums have now been enabled and can be accessed via the navigation bar. More importantly, I'm interested in your input towards the new pet attacking AI to be implemented in EchoPet v3.
If EchoPet is not loading on your Spigot 1.8 build and your server is outputting "Skipping loading of EchoPet as it does not work with Spigot 1.8 builds!", please try running a later Spigot patch. I can't do anything about older Spigot releases blacklisting the plugin (preventing it from loading).
The future of this plugin is still being determined.
Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.
EchoPet is a simple Donator Perk plugin designed to add Pets that follow players around on their adventures throughout Minecraft. All Pets are custom entities spawned and controlled by the plugin.
Great for donator perks!
Pets are greatly customisable, through the extensive Command Base and PetMenu
A Custom AI makes all Pets focused on specific goals, handled closely by the core of the Plugin
All mobs can be Pets, even human entities
All events fired by the plugin are accessible through the EchoPet Developer API
The API also makes it possible to add many new and interesting features to the limit of creativity
Support for MySQL databases |
Note: The Developer API is only available in v2.0.6 and after
All information can be found on the official EchoPet Wiki, which can be accessed using the button above
EchoPet comes with an auto-updater to save you, as a server owner, from continually checking this page for new files. It simply connects to dev.bukkit.org and compares the versions of available files. If you do not wish for EchoPet to perform this check, navigate to the Configuration File (config.yml) in the EchoPet directory of your plugins folder and change "checkForUpdates" and "autoUpdate" to "false". The first value disables the version comparison altogether and the second updates the plugin automatically if new files are detected.
Metrics is used to collect plugin statistics. Only data such as plugin version and players online is collected. If you do not wish for this data to be collected, disable it in the 'Plugin Metrics' folder of your 'plugins' directory.
@Tokesho
That is not helpful at all.
P.S. Neither is this comment. It's sole purpose is an explanatory base for your vague statement, which further emphasises the need for more information.
When I use The Commands From EchoPet Noting Seems To Work Help?
you kidding me??? this mod is AWESOME! how the hell did possibly manage to make this?
wen i do /pet pig it doesent let me use the command
You have to do /pet Pig not /pet pig
@CrazehGhost
Simple!
In the BuyCraft settings, change everything to this :
"Require the user to be online to execute the commands." to Checked "Expire After" to (x) amount of time.
Commands (These are for PermissionseX) : Initial : /pex user {name} add echopet.echopet And also give them the permission : echopet.list and echopet.remove annddd echopet.{pet}
And here is the trick! Add another command in the "Expiry" Section that will do : /sudo {name} pet remove
This will sudo the player to remove the pet.
then, at the end add a command that is : Expiry : /pex user {name} remove echopet.{Everything listed above}
:) Hope this helped.
Hello, I use BuyCraft with timed ranks, is there a way to remove a users pet after (x) amount of time?
Perhaps something along the lines of "/pet {name} remove"? so i can have that execute automatically when the rank time has expired. (even if the user is offline)
@DSH105
K Thank you.
@PigRider273
Essentials kills off everything when that command is executed. EntityDeathEvent can't be cancelled, but I'll look into it after EchoPet 2 is released.
How can you prevent pets from dying from Essentials' /killall command? If not, can you please somehow add that as an update?
Thanks, Piggeh
New Poll!
Please vote your opinion in this poll (http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/echopet/polls/for-echo-pet-2-would-you-rather-have-the-option-of/) for the upcoming release of EchoPet 2. I will say, the way I have the plugin set up, it is much much easier to allow owners to mount their pet instead of having entity pets (through commands). But it is completely up to you! :D. You decide.
@Patrickskdk
I would suggest you scroll up and download the beta 1.5.2 release...
@Drewerd615
It most likely will be a new feature.
@Patrickskdk
What command are you running?
I'm having the same problem as xLoGiiKzZo. When i type a command from EchoPet, nothing happens. No output or anything. And no errors in the console, it's like the plugin isent there. But it is, i checked under /plugins
This plugin is awesome! Just a quick question, is it possible to set the default NAME of your default pet?
@xLoGiiKzZo
Okay....Explain please?
The plugin does nothing? It doesn't do anything with any command.
@MinecraftAdmin
No, sorry. I can't do anything about that. You have to remove the entities from your world file or tell the owners of the pets to go and fetch (kill) them.
P.S. /kill will not work unless the chunk that contains the 'lost entities' is loaded
Will he 'Lost Entity' error automatically fix itself when the updated version of the plugin is installed? I'm sorry I have no knowledge of Java.
@ImpulsiveVenom
The 1.5.2 version should be working, It's working for me :) Check your console for errors!
