1.5 to 1.6+ Migration
This is a simple tutorial page on how to use the Migration Tool for DkabotShop 1.5 to 1.6.
If you're starting a fresh database and tables from DkabotShop 1.6 or higher, there is no need to read this page.
NOTE: Once you run this process it is not 100% guaranteed to work and I provide no means of reversing it. Always keep a backup handy!
That's everything important out of the way. This will change the format of item names in your DkabotShop tables to work with version 1.6+. Once the steps below are followed you will never need this migration tool again.
Let's begin!
- Stop your craftbukkit server
- Back up your database tables. (Not mandatory, but recommended)
- Remove your DkabotShop 1.5 or earlier JAR file.
- Upload the migration tool as a plugin in place of the removed JAR file from the previous step.
- Start the server. The tool will output many lines to console to show the steps it is taking. (Report any errors on github, I have not experienced any but it is possible.)
- Once the migration finishes, stop the server again.
- Delete the migration tool plugin from your server
- Upload DkabotShop 1.6 or preferred higher version onto your server
- Start your server once more at your leisure, the new version should now function
