SoundCenter
SoundCenter - Music, Sound Effects, Webradio and Voice Chat for Minecraft!
Important
Development for SoundCenter is discontinued, but there is a great alternative that I like to recommend: MCJukebox
Version: v0.3
SoundCenter (formerly CustomMusic) allows you to set music boxes or regions that stream your own music, sound effects or webradio to all players in realtime.
It also implements a simple voice chat for Minecraft.
To use the features that SoundCenter offers, you and everyone who wants to hear music and voice chat must download and use the SoundCenter client.
You do not have to download or install anything. The client is running as a java applet on the website. You will get a message with a link to the client when you join the server. When you follow this link, the client will automatically connect. - Could not be easier.
Here's a video that shows how to use the plugin (Thanks to @jithins):
Development discontinued
Unfortunately I will no longer be able to work or give you support on this project. I am sorry that I couldn't implement all your awesome suggestions.
Thank you for almost 5 years of support, criticism, praise and blame ;) You are awesome!
If you are willing to take over this project, feel free to contact me.
Features
- You can set imaginary jukeboxes, cuboid areas or worlds and biomes as music stations
- You can also use WorldGuard regions as stations
- Stations can either play your own music/ sound effects, or webradio streams
- You can use a command or the client to play songs for yourself, all players in a world, or all players on the server
- You can use any supported audio file that is stored on a public webserver. Filehosters like DropBox will work as well.
- Supported audio formats: MP3, for webradio also OGG
- Everything is easily and intuitively managable with the client's user interface
- Every feature is configurable
- You can limit access with permissions
Extra Features:
- Voice chat
- SoundCenter adds a simple voice chat to your Bukkit server
- You can speak locally (only players that are not far from you can hear you. Volume depends on their distance)
- But you can also speak globally (The whole server can hear you)
- You can disable voice chat on your server if you don't like this feature
- many more to come
How does it work?
Okay so I have SoundCenter installed on my server, what can I do now?
It's easy: Before or after logging into Minecraft, run the SoundCenterClient.jar.
Now you can add songs in the "Music" tab, or add stations in the "Stations" tab. Boxes, areas or WorldGuard regions can be created ingame via /sc set <area|box|wgregion>. That's easier, because the box will be created at your coordinates. You can edit all properties of your stations by pressing the "Edit Station" button in the "Stations" tab.

Before you ask a question, take a look at the frequently asked questions.
I don't want you to update the plugin (and the audio client) but... update it!!

@Taran500
Send me the client please
I got the audio client but it kept giving me this error message: Cannot get the I/O for (my server ip) Make sure that you have set the right port and that the ports are forwarded on the Server. And that the server is started of course. Connections closed. Client will not reconnect.
I have no idea what this means and sometimes it would connect but it would say I didn't have permission to use any of the commands please help!
aw :( i want the pluging
Sooooo this mean the pluggin is dead Oo ? any working pluggins for musics on servers? i host mine, but can't find anything that handle 1.5.1
@HPDMGay
That should be done with Spout and the client of them. So no.
I have a question: I want to play a song for a few players in a radius, like 15. I made a commandblock and did: /sudo @a[r=15] cm play playername 2 (where 2 is the songnumber)
I hear it, other people in the radius got the message: playername has no song number 2. How can I fix this?
I've tried this plugin... but wayyyy Tooooooo complex to use for everybody.... The best thing would be that players dosent have to download something to hear it... And for the server owner dosent have to forward ports...
Okay to make things clear:
I haven't played minecraft for a very long time. I have just tried the plugin on 1.4.7-R1.0 and it still works without problems for me. If there are any issues, i will not fix them anymore. If you want to do so, just tell me what you changed and i will upload the fixed version here with credits for whoever did the work.
If someone wants to develop the plugin further, tell me and i will take the needed steps for it. But be warned: This was my very first project in java. If i would create the plugin again, i would approach it totally different. A lot of things are badly coded or unnecessary complicated making it difficult to add new features or to change things.
I wish you all much fun with minecraft and of course with custom music, if you still want to use it. Bye.
I would like to edit this mod so it is compatible to 1.4.7. It's not that complicated, but I would need the permission to do it as there doesn't seem to be a clear license declaration. Not sure if I will get a response, but I'll try asking.
