SoundCenter
SoundCenter - Music, Sound Effects, Webradio and Voice Chat for Minecraft!
Important
Development for SoundCenter is discontinued, but there is a great alternative that I like to recommend: MCJukebox
Version: v0.3
SoundCenter (formerly CustomMusic) allows you to set music boxes or regions that stream your own music, sound effects or webradio to all players in realtime.
It also implements a simple voice chat for Minecraft.
To use the features that SoundCenter offers, you and everyone who wants to hear music and voice chat must download and use the SoundCenter client.
You do not have to download or install anything. The client is running as a java applet on the website. You will get a message with a link to the client when you join the server. When you follow this link, the client will automatically connect. - Could not be easier.
Here's a video that shows how to use the plugin (Thanks to @jithins):
Development discontinued
Unfortunately I will no longer be able to work or give you support on this project. I am sorry that I couldn't implement all your awesome suggestions.
Thank you for almost 5 years of support, criticism, praise and blame ;) You are awesome!

Features
- You can set imaginary jukeboxes, cuboid areas or worlds and biomes as music stations
- You can also use WorldGuard regions as stations
- Stations can either play your own music/ sound effects, or webradio streams
- You can use a command or the client to play songs for yourself, all players in a world, or all players on the server
- You can use any supported audio file that is stored on a public webserver. Filehosters like DropBox will work as well.
- Supported audio formats: MP3, for webradio also OGG
- Everything is easily and intuitively managable with the client's user interface
- Every feature is configurable
- You can limit access with permissions
Extra Features:
- Voice chat
- SoundCenter adds a simple voice chat to your Bukkit server
- You can speak locally (only players that are not far from you can hear you. Volume depends on their distance)
- But you can also speak globally (The whole server can hear you)
- You can disable voice chat on your server if you don't like this feature
- many more to come
How does it work?
Okay so I have SoundCenter installed on my server, what can I do now?
It's easy: Before or after logging into Minecraft, run the SoundCenterClient.jar.
Now you can add songs in the "Music" tab, or add stations in the "Stations" tab. Boxes, areas or WorldGuard regions can be created ingame via /sc set <area|box|wgregion>. That's easier, because the box will be created at your coordinates. You can edit all properties of your stations by pressing the "Edit Station" button in the "Stations" tab.

Please...update it! THX
Shoutcast Stations dont work! Please Update
1.3 please!
An area I had set wouldn't delete even though /cm deletearea said it deleted it. I would bring up the area list and it would list 4 different areas with the same number (which was a2 for me) even though it was supposedly deleted. If anyone else is having this problem, here's how I solved it:
I went into my plugins folder, then the CustomMusic folder. Inside there is an AreaList.db file. I opened that and deleted the desired areas from it.
Hope this helps some people out
Works great for me and a friend, newest dev build of CB + MC 1.3.2.
OH SWEET! =) PLEASE UPDATE! IT DOESNT WORK IN MY SERVER =(
Pls update to 1.3.2!!??
Working, thanx :)
Please updated to 1.3.1-2!
@minimihm98
1.3.1 plugins still work on 1.3.2 because there wasn't any real change in the code, just a couple of bug fixes
PLEASE UPDATE IT TO 1.3.2 TILL 30.8.2012!!!
when do you think that this plugin will be updated to 1.3.1
@3751_Creator
Probably because it's for 1.2.5 not 1.3.1
Hey, I got an issue, the server will never detect the audio client!! help! I tryed it with my LAN server and with mmy hosted server! Doesn't work!
Please help!! thanks 3751_Creator
WegFetz, I would like to thank you for creating such an amazing plugin. I'm not real savy about converting our server to a spoutcraft one so this works out perfectly for me.
There is a small concern I have regarding mp3 file uploads. I understand that you can set a limit on how many files a player is allowed to upload.
However, I have set my server's song upload limit substantially higher to allow players the flexibility to use as many songs as they wish. The problem is that it seems that every single song that is uploaded to the server is immediately downloaded by every player who has the audio client.
I believe this has the potential to create problems for players who either have a slow connection speed or who use ISPs that have data download limits. It can also be an issue if they have low capacity harddrives.
If every player automatically downloads every song that is uploaded to the server, players can very quickly become overwhelmed by the amount of downloads that take place into their computer.
Is there a way for players to limit the number of songs they auto-download or can you put in a feature that asks them if they wish to download the song first before downloading it? Or better yet, make them download the songs only if they are within range of hearing it? I think that's the best suggestion I have.
Thank you for all your wonderful work and for taking the time to read this.
How do you add the server name if it is hosted on a website? I just says, " Cannot connect to sc21.servercraft.co:3834 Connections closed. Client will not reconnect." and I can't use it. What do I do? :(
could you add support with WorldGuard? Because i've problem with setting and defining the area. It's an Awesome plugin btw, Keep it up! :D
A suggestion to a very nice addition would be the ability to loop a selected playlist cause its something i would like to loop. when i play a succession of music.Maybe like /cm gplay <l for loop> <songnumbers>
Otherwise it works perfectly. I love it.
