IMPORTANT INFORMATION (25. June 2012)
This project has now been taken over by iKeirNez, who will continue work on CommandsEX in the same fashion I did - and even better! It was a pleasure to create this tiny little thingy for you guys. Have some great Minecraft days in there and see you all in another life :) zathrus_writer
Build your very own plugin set - Lego style!
If you ever needed a single function but had to download a massive plugin that contained it, you will probably know the feeling. It could be hard to pick up the right plugin-set for a server with all the plugins currently in existence. Especially since many of them conflict with each other.
That is the idea behind CommandsEX project - to allow server administrators to choose which commands and functions they really need and let them trash all the rest.

- CommandsEX Builder - create your very own CommandsEX build!
- CommandsEX Test Server - play about with the latest features not yet available to download!
Configuration
CommandsEX uses standard config.yml file, located in CommandsEX folder in your plugins directory. Options in the configuration file are clearly commented and their list is also present in the Configuration section of the plugin Wiki.
Additionally, CommandsEX allows anybody with the permission to access the /cex command. Some options from the config file are retrievable and can also be updated via this command.

Quick Update!
You can now come and play about on the CommandsEX Test Server! It will have all the newest updates before they are available to download! :D
EDIT: Wow! 1000 downloads :) Thanks guys :D
Expect somthing special to be coming in the next updateDone the special command :) Hope you enjoy!@MattyQ Why thank you :) It's always nice to hear good feedback :D
@nhoclesnar
I love the note idea! I'm gunna work on it as soon as I can :)
@MattyQ
Ikr this plugin is super awesome. I'm really excited about the weather forecast feature. I'm going to test it with seasons. Also, I would love it if you add a '/w' command for whisper and a '/r' command for quick whisper reply, and a note section for Admins to keep track of what is going on. '/addnote [content]' to add new notes, and '/note' to check current notes. In addition, '/remnote' to remove note, and automatically remove old note (configurable) would be nice.
Important Fact:
You guys are the best. Thanks so much for adding setrank commands! =D
Important Bugfix Update
CommandsEX Beta 1.60a is being released as a critical bugfix update, since the new version completely broke /ban command. Additionally, one more quiz error was fixed as well in this version.
Downloads from SourceForge, BukkitDev and the Builder Page.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
@icheesy
I have already answered your question here
Suggestion (idk if it was implented)
make /give or /i commands silent!
Version Beta 1.60 at your disposal
Following the big transition, kezz101 has been working his butt off lately to deliver some of the functionality you guys have requested. I've put my hands to work today, having nothing better to do and finished up a few more of them as well :)
And so, with light and smiling heart, let me announce the immediate availability of CommandsEX Beta 1.60, including several new features and a small bit of bugfixes.
As always, full changelog can be found here, downloads are available from SourceForge, BukkitDev and CommandsEX Builder Page.
Enjoy!
@jbanto
Heya jabnto! I've done the /info command as you asked :)
hey, 888 downloads! :D
EDIT: lol, fun fact: 899 downloads the next day :D :D
@jbanto
can't speak for the devs, but everything apart from info command and jailing reasons is outside the scope of this plugin from my point of view
there are lots of plugins with the remaining functionality and they do a marvelous job fulfilling those requests
any work on those features would be a simple duplication of ideas and a large overhead in project maintenance, which would in turn make us unable to concentrate on the basics people need to actually administrate their servers ;)
this said, please be sure to enter your ideas into our new tickets system, so they won't be forgotten :)
My requests.
New Tickets Management
As of today, there is a new ticket system where you can submit all bug reports and feature requests. Tickets link has been updated to point to the new location.
Old tickets are being preserved and transferred to the new system as well, so don't worry, we won't loose them ;)
Release and one Important Note
With great joy, I'm finally able to say that CommandsEX version 1.55 Beta is finally ready for public consumption. It took a while longer than usual, mostly due to lack of time left for development.
This is mostly a bugfix version with a single feature request implementation. For more info, see the full changelog.
As usual, download this version from SourceForge, BukkitDev or build your own flavor using the Builder Page.
Now for the Important Note
As of today, a new group of developers will be taking over CommandsEX. While I'll be here to help and do some quality control for about another month or so, this project will be fully transferred to another head developer, most probably kezz101. This said, it was a wonderful pleasure seeing you guys enjoy my work and I wish you all great Minecraft days ahead! See you all in another life :)
@icheesy
I'm not sure if it's possible with the system I'm using at the moment... they way it works now is I simply call the built-in Bukkit /give function and that handles all messages and permission checks... so preliminary, I'd say no, sorry
Silent give commands?
as you may have noticed, the development has somewhat slowed down the past couple of weeks... I've been a little busy at work and I still am, so as soon as that gets back to normal, I'll get back to a normal weekly (or bi-weekly) release schedule
until that time, there's a release planned for this week, including a few bugfixes and one new feature request implementation ;)
@hawkfalcon
I'm adding commands to CommansEX as they get requested by people, starting by those that we use daily on our server
there is not really a reason for me to force development of commands that nobody would use - but if you require any of those commands (like you did /give and /item), you are always welcome to request them individually ;)
Eventually, it would be nice to see all of these commands included http://wiki.ess3.net/wiki/Command_Reference
the reason I like your plugin it because you can build it yourself:)
A small testing server with CommandsEX has been started at the IP address of 93.91.240.153:27180
What better way to test your own plugin than by running a server, no? :D
I'm experimenting with a kind of story progression system there - you know, jobs, skills and such. It's very early stage and everyone is welcome to join and participate. Basic stuff like grief prevention and such is already implemented. We have 10 slots so far...
EDIT: nice, 2 days passed and all 10 slots are full at peaks... and at least 5 bugs fixed :D
