Creativity Re-Imagined
Requires CB 1549+ || Current Version: v1.8
I apologize, but due to time constraints and sheer lack of focus on my part, I can no longer maintain this plugin. I will ensure that this plugin stays up-to-date and working for every RB, but I will no longer be working on adding features and general optimization of the script. From this point on I will only be making sure that it works properly, but fear not! This plugin is open-source, so if there are any who wish to help keep this plugin in top-shape, adding new features and optimizing the script to fix the lag issues, please submit a pull request on Git and I will test your work. If it is satisfactory, it will become a part of this plugin. Happy Holidays everyone!

What does this plugin do? To be put simply, you won't ever have to worry about players in Creative Mode interfering with Survival Mode players. Want to have Creative Mode players to live alongside the Survival Mode players without having to worry about Creative Mode players "making it easier" for the Survival Mode players? This plugin will take care of that! Want to keep your hard-earned items separate from your items that you've spawned into the world? This plugin does that too! Still interested? Read below and check it out!
Features:
- Prevents players in Creative Mode from dropping items
- Prevents players in Creative Mode from placing items in chests/furnaces/dispensers/workbenches(crafting tables)
- Prevents players in Creative Mode from breaking bedrock at the bottom of the world
- Prevents Endermen from picking up/placing blocks in the world. "Now they can only stare at you angrily! ...Then chase you down and kill you. :D"
- Separates Creative Mode and Survival Mode inventories!
- Configurable! Everything can be disabled or enabled!
- Permissions! Players can be given exclusive rights to bypass certain functions when enabled with a permissions node!
- Can start and stop time!
WARNING: It is not recommended that you edit any of the inventory files unless you are deleting them. Corruption could possibly occur and break the plugin
it seems like your plugin does not work with the "MultiInv" plugin... after a while the server crahses aswell... im forced to shut down MultiInv but i dont really like to do that... anything you can do about it?
Can anyone please make it so those in creative cant open brewingstands.
how do you install it? How do i set it so one world is survival and one is creative?
@kenwinlam
Try the permissions
would it be possible to have the option to enable creative players to open chests or pick up drops from the ground?
I don't use permissions. I believe in Fun and Trust. But mostly I believe in playing with people who are cool and not malicious.
Anyway this plugin is great. thanks.
@eNormini
Thank you very much for the gesture :)
@Zenonic
I'm not sure if it would be possible, but it definitely wouldn't be practical at this time.
Very practical plugin! Would it be possible to disable block-drops from the World-Edit spawned blocks?
Hello , I would just like to say thanks for this awesome and inteligent plugin , it has really helped out with creative members giving out items and such.Im dissapointed though that you arent really fixing this plugin up as it is great , If a lot more people knew about this plugin it would be a great hit.If i had a spare $50 i would donate it but unfortunantly i dont.Thanks for this. Enormini :)
@XepherLink
There is absolutely nothing that I can do about that. Talk to the devs for each of those plugins about that problem
Very big explot players in creative bcs can sell and buy from iconomy chest shops and essentials shops
@Brock_Blocking
1. There is a thing that I like to call permissions. You should try them.
2. I am not adding new features at this time.
@gabizou
I should elaborate a little more on that:
"It is not recommended that you edit any of the inventory files created by this plugin unless you are deleting them." etc.
OpenInv should work fine, as my plugin doesn't actually access any of the actual inventory files.
Awesome idea and something I've been considering to use. I'd just like to know though, is it fine to use OpenInv for example on players that are in creative/survival mode as that "WARNING: It is not recommended that you edit any of the inventory files unless you are deleting them. Corruption could possibly occur and break the plugin" doesn't look like it's going to play nice with it.
@pyrosine
It was already open source, but I hadn't really made it all that visible. I'll put a nice big link in the description ;)
I for one have a few members of my server willing to help develop it. If you were to make it open source, I imagine it would stay well maintained, seeing as there is nothing quite like BCS around.
I'm considering dropping support for this plugin, I just don't really have time to maintain this anymore, especially with all of the problems it has. What are your opinions on this?
My server has 40-50 players online in an average evening, perhaps more now we've disabled BCS and ceased it's lagging. We have 25 users with access to creative at any time, and it is a service that has been running for some months now. We had multiple worlds for a time, and found (before disabling BCS) disabling multiverse did help out, although it did progressively worsen after that.
If I may suggest something, it could be valuable to add the ability to disable logging of certain common blocks in BCS such as cobblestone or dirt, as well as the ability to clear logs using a filter (meaning without deleting all data). Whilst I may be too forward in saying it, not being able to view the datasets, a better storage format may also be of value. I cant quite comprehend your storage system currently i must admit, seeing as x,y and z positions seem to be stored in seperate files. I do accept it would likely be an extensive job and therefore not something you are willing to do any time soon.
Addressing the suggestion of permitting explosions and block drops, would the block not still be registered under BCS, meaning a query is executed regardless?
@pyrosine
Pyrosine,
I had the same experience...I run a medium-sized server with multiple worlds, some with creative mode. Usually 10 - 30 concurrent players. BCS causes HUGE lag and makes the server largely unusable at this level. I have been trying to find ways to disable all the logging (the only feature I need is switching inventories from creative to survival worlds and preventing the movement of blocks from creative to survival.) Ahniolator answered my requests below by saying that setting "Placed Blocks Give No Drops: Players: false Explosions: false" both to false will disable logging. I am about to try it...
@pyrosine
How large is your server? If it has more than a few people on it, try increasing the block saving interval to a number that is larger than 100.
Also, if you are running a multi-world server, it could be causing more lag as well. -There's not really much I can do for that.
