Burning Creative Suite
BurningCreativeSuite
Creativity Re-Imagined
Requires CB 1549+ || Current Version: v1.8
I apologize, but due to time constraints and sheer lack of focus on my part, I can no longer maintain this plugin. I will ensure that this plugin stays up-to-date and working for every RB, but I will no longer be working on adding features and general optimization of the script. From this point on I will only be making sure that it works properly, but fear not! This plugin is open-source, so if there are any who wish to help keep this plugin in top-shape, adding new features and optimizing the script to fix the lag issues, please submit a pull request on Git and I will test your work. If it is satisfactory, it will become a part of this plugin. Happy Holidays everyone!

What does this plugin do? To be put simply, you won't ever have to worry about players in Creative Mode interfering with Survival Mode players. Want to have Creative Mode players to live alongside the Survival Mode players without having to worry about Creative Mode players "making it easier" for the Survival Mode players? This plugin will take care of that! Want to keep your hard-earned items separate from your items that you've spawned into the world? This plugin does that too! Still interested? Read below and check it out!
Features:
- Prevents players in Creative Mode from dropping items
- Prevents players in Creative Mode from placing items in chests/furnaces/dispensers/workbenches(crafting tables)
- Prevents players in Creative Mode from breaking bedrock at the bottom of the world
- Prevents Endermen from picking up/placing blocks in the world. "Now they can only stare at you angrily! ...Then chase you down and kill you. :D"
- Separates Creative Mode and Survival Mode inventories!
- Configurable! Everything can be disabled or enabled!
- Permissions! Players can be given exclusive rights to bypass certain functions when enabled with a permissions node!
- Can start and stop time!
WARNING: It is not recommended that you edit any of the inventory files unless you are deleting them. Corruption could possibly occur and break the plugin
My server was recently suffering from some intense lag. After a few hours of disabling plugins (leaving burning creative suite until last - its fairly integral), it seems disabling burning creative suite did the trick. I cant unfortunately give you any details as to what was causing the lag - there were no indications BCS was even causing it from the console. My theory? We have a large amount of blocks placed in it and monitoring of those blocks could cause it, but I have no idea on how you call to check if a block is placed in creative or not. I am running minecraft 1.0.1 and BCS 1.8
@Sigutatch
I believe there is another plugin in the works to cover this...
@Sigutatch
Ask for this from the WorldGuard devs, not here. I do not create new features for other people's plugins.
Please make it also possible to have a different gamemode for different worldguard regions plz, pretty awesoem btw
@dpakman
yes
@Ahniolator
So, for clarity, if I set both of those to 'false', the plugin will stop logging actions to disk?
Placed Blocks Give No Drops: Players: false Explosions: false
Thanks

@Ahniolator
In the config, the only thing I see is "block save interval". Setting it to 0 does not disable saving. Any way to disable saving in the config?
@dpakman
For the specified user, yes. I believe you can also disable it in the config as well.
@Ahniolator
So for clarity, if a user has these permissions, then BurningCS will NOT log blocks?
Thanks,
David

How do you disable block logging? It seems to be causing serious lag on my server. I just want to use your plugin to maintain separate inventories between worlds with creative mode and worlds with survival mode. Thanks.
@retricide
No, it does not mean that. It is meant for bypassing certain functions of this plugin. I don't think that it would be added, and would be a good idea for a gamemode-specific permissions plugin though. Perhaps it will be built into one sometime ;)
I might be misinterpretting this, but does
mean that we can allot users certain permission nodes (non-related to this plugin) upon entering a specific mode?
For example, if I want to disable a user's interaction with an economy plugin by giving him a negative permission node upon entering creative mode, would BurningCreativeSuit allow for that?
If not, would it be a future possibility?
Thanks
@gv1222
No. It would require a client mod to remove the creative "chest" (for lack of better wording).
@gv1222
I'm guessing you're looking for this permission:
bcs.bypass.inventory
It makes you keep your survival inventory, when going into creative mode.
Is there a possible way to make it so that you are in creative mode but have a survival inventory? That would perfect this plugin.
bug: If a survival player places dirt and a creative player replaces them with other block (like diamondblock) realy fast by leftclicking and direct rightclicking. The survival player gets a drop from that block if he removes the block right after it got replaced.
@Guizzoni
There are certain blocks that don't apply to the system that I am using. Sand, for example is one of them. This plugin will log the location of the sand, and then if the sand falls from that position, the logged position will still be there, but the sand can then be broken for a drop. (Sand isn't a very important block, but it is the one in question.) To prevent this from happening, I blocked placement of blocks that acted like that. To be able to place the blocks, just give them the .bypass permission for block placements/breaking
Hey, im getting the following when i tried to place sand in creative mode:
[BurningCS] You cannot place THAT in creative mode.
I can't found anything on the config file that sets the blocked blocks. Where's it?
