@HeyItsZenith
to you too man, have a good one and if i can help at all let me know.
@Sonorpearl
Not sure which message you're referring to, but I plan on starting v0.44 after Christmas. This should be a stable build that uses the latest Recommended Build of Bukkit and contains at least working mob spawners, hoard signs, toggle-able spout, and no longer uses auto-install for Register and Spout. Adding enchantment/potion support and environment support (Nether/Skylands) is also high on my priorities compared to the other things on the list.
Hopefully no later than two weeks? I work in bursts, which makes this sort of thing slightly unpredictable. Happy Holidays :)
@twinsonian
hey, well the problem is you can't use them, they are listen currently under "natural" spawn methods and so they don't work in templecraft, i believe he will be changing this as i brought this issue to him already but currently you can't spawn monsters from spawners.
So we are trying to utilize mcdungeon:
http://mcdungeon.wikkii.com/wiki/Main_Page
to create our dungeon templates for our dungeon worlds and its working great. You have to take your temple folder and copy it to your minecraft directory under saves then use mcdungeon to generate a dungeon then copy it back to your templecraft plugins folder where the temples are saved.
The problem is using this method or even trying to just use a monster spawner plugin to make monster spawners in these dungeons does not work.and they are loaded up as pig spawners. Do you happen to know of a solution to this dillema? We love your plugin for the instance dungeon aspect of it, and with MCDungeon's brilliant dungeon generation it is really a ton of fun.
We also use the catacombs addon that is on bukkit dev for our in world dungeons since those dungeons can be reset. MCDungeons unfortunately cannot be reset without shutting the server down UNLESS we use it with templecraft which provides a reset dungeon every time. The monster spawners are the only thing holding us back since we have to manually add in bedrock blocks in the edit to have monsters for a challenging dungeon.
The bedrock blocks add for a nice way to have custom end of the dungeon boss style fights but the monster spawners throughout the dungeon alone really add to the fun since none of us have to really get to know the dungeons and can explore them together.
All in all this is a tremendous plugin and we really do enjoy it and love it. If anyone has any advice as far as monster spawners we would really appreciate it. Also, if you are considering using this plugin and are unsure about it because you do not want to have to actually draw out your dungeons but want instances for your users and friends then look in to MCDungeon and also check out the Sewers plugin on bukkit dev, it can create some pretty nice sewer generations that you have the option of doing manually which you can then dig and link up to create some really fun adventuring.
Thank you.
The Version seems to have many Bugs yet. I am waiting for a recommend Release. Also why is there a Message that there is a new Dev-Dev- Version and I donĀ“t see it here. Can you give us a ETA?
@rootbeerking
Oh, I thought you just wanted people to be able to see the temple in the real world. Yeah, no, it's gotta be in the dungeon world for players to use it.
@cena6665
Ahh, got'cha. So right now what i want isn't really possible then. Thank you for the help.
@rootbeerking
it would work only in theory right now, if you copy the temple over and place it down, the will see the outside but when they teleport they would go to the temple world file. right now you can't have temples on the main world
@Netu
That would work? How would this mod then know that the temple has moved? Would I still be able to edit the temple with templecraft after moving it with WorldEdit?
@HeyItsZenith
did u figure out mob spawnes and if it's easy to fix if it is not working?
@Fyfie2810
Will check it out. Some problems may be occurring because the DevBuild is only CB1565.
@chrisknyfe
Yeah, I'm going to make it toggle-able. The auto-install is meant for convenience for the required plugins associated with TempleCraft, I understand the issue though.
@rootbeerking
Use world edit, copy the temple from the dungeon world and paste it into the real world.
Is there anyway to have the temples be on the same world as the main world? I'd like it so that players can see the temple while exploring and then if they want to explore it they can go up to it and enter through a teleporter that is near the temple's entrance.
@xylophonics
Oh, ok i donno why that would be, oh and to clarify, i have not heard back yet, but 82% sure that minecraft (spinning) mob spawners don't work.. *sadface*
@cena6665
Neither the bedrock nor the sign spawner are functioning. I've no idea what could be causing it.
@xylophonics
mob spawner as in the bedrock or the normal minecraft mob spawner? if its the latter, i have already asked about this issue, when he can he will work on it but currently all "natural spawning" of mobs is off. thus the mob spawner not working, if its the former then i have no answer as i don't have this issue.
@chrisknyfe
its also generally bad practice to not read the above, he is working on making spout a toggle, you have to give the guy some room he has things to do and this mod is only going to keep going aslong as he is having fun making it.
Hey Zenith,
When I try to enter a temple in templecraft 0.43, I do not get teleported to the templeworld. No crash log shows up in the console or anything. I am using CB 1597 (1.0.0-R1)
Also, is there a reason you're installing spout automatically? I do not want to use spout. is it a requirement now? Can you please not force-install spout in the future? It's generally a bad practice to install plugins behind the server owner's back.
I'm having a bit of a problem with monster spawners. No monsters spawn in any of the temples, including hitswitch. I looked to see if there were any config settings regarding spawning, and found none. I'm running the latest RB with the following plugins: essentials, essentialsspawn, register, templecraft, and spout. Any help/advice? I really love this plugin but adventure maps with no monsters are hardly adventurous :). Thank you
Okay I think I figured out the Spout problems but now I believe I am getting a problem with Templecraft. Here is the log:
