LogEx
A powerful tool to collect informations
LogEx is a continuation of pokepal101's Log plugin, you can find the original BukkitDev page here. A big thanks to pokepal101 for this awesome plugin and for the permission to publish my version ;)
As the original Log, it collects modifications such as breaking or placing of blocks. But that isn't everything! Now it remembers more modifications like emtying or filling of water and lava buckets (usefull to fight against players who want to live under the sea). LogEx also writes down every login from each player, it remembers the date and the IP. I implemented also a feature which logs informations about picking up an item. Because of the risk that the logfile could be to expensive, I disabled it by default. LogEx also collects mobs spawned by spawneggs and chat messages.
Features
- Block modification logging and viewing
- Bucket (water and lava) logging and viewing
- WorldEdit logging (At the moment only set and only for cuboid regions)
- Chat logging and viewing
- Command logging and viewing
- Death logging and viewing
- Gamemode switch logging and viewing
- Login logging and viewing
- Spawnegg logging and viewing
- World switch logging
- Optional multithreading for Events (1.5+) and Commands to not charge the servers performance
- Efficient database storage system
- Enderchest content viewing via command (1.5+)
- Inventory content viewing via command (1.5+)
- Autocleaner to clean up databases from old entries
- Changelog viewing in-game
- Statistics via command
- Superpickaxe (WorldEdit) logging (1.5+)
- The list is expanding more and more!
What makes LogEx special? Well, gives you the possibility to stay up to date what's going on on your server, even if you're offline.LogEx is always getting even more stable, fluid and better. One more thing that makes LogEx delightful: It won't make an effort to log modifications done by the nature like creeper explosions or enderman griefing, which makes the databases even lighter.
1.5 for tomorrow or saturday
UPDATE: LogEx 1.5 is uploaded and will be approved in the next few days
Hey, 1.4 still needs a longer time until it is finished. So here's my question: Do you want me to release previews of 1.4 (weekly or so)? Please share your opinion in the new poll
Hey, I'll take a little break for one or two weeks. That means there will be no releases from me during that time. After these weeks I'll continue again ;) Main target: 1.4 with the basic WorldEdit commands
Also superpickaxe, tools and brushes can modify de environment, but as long as they're not so harmful i think you can forget about that for now...
@Manuestaire: You're right, rotate and flip are useless. I removed them from the list ^^
What is the aim of logging flip and rotate? I mean, they are clipboard operators not region operators.
I think it would be more usefull to focus on region operators:
Generation operators:
And utilities:
There're more utilities commands, but i consider they're not as important as this ones.
Greetings ;)
Hey, check out the new WorldEdit progress link above to be up to date about the progress of the WorldEdit logging ;)
Thank you ;) I have a little goodie for you: Preview from LogEx 1.4
@kremi151
Thank you for this great plugin. I'm looking forward to WorldEdit logging.
@FearTheCreeper19: Yes, 1.3 will be realised when I fixed the lag issue reported by MrGoatie
Is This Plugin going to be updated???
I'm sorry to say that your plugin caused a major lag issue on my server by utilizing 80-100% CPU power almost all the time. I don't know if it's some kind of memory leak or anything like that but it'd be great if you could look into it. I really like a simple plugin like this. I don't think it's conflicting with the other plugins I use since I've tried disabling all of them and still getting a rather high CPU usage. Here's a list of the plugins I got installed:
I'm using the latest recommended build of Bukkit.
@Horusx6
Normally it should work on 1.3.2
Work is on Bukkit 1.3.2?
LogEx 1.3: Do you have ideas?
@AyeAye
As soon as I'm back I'll implement that ;)
Hey, I'm a small-ish server owner here. I hate to protect stuff using WorldGuard (too much work, I just wanna play), so this mod is perfect for me. There is one suggestion I would like to submit: A command like
So that it shows who/when placed any block, especially useful for TNT.
Thanks for making this!
1.2 is almost finished and comes along without errors but with some cool features and improvements. I'll complete and upload it today, so probably it will come out this evening or tomorrow ;)
Update: 1.2 is now uploaded since more than 24h and still not approved -.-
