World Options

Killer has a variety of different options for configuring the worlds you play on, and anyone can make their own world options. Game modes may override the world option selected, and some world options might only configure the overworld, leaving the nether world as default.

This page lists the world options distributed with Killer - if you make one and want it included, or have a suggestion for a new world option, please let us know!

Current world options

Default World

A normal minecraft world will be generated randomly, as per usual.

Option: Large biomes

Disabled by default

When enabled, large biomes will be used. When disabled, normal-sized biomes will be used.

Existing World

This option allows precise control over what worlds are used. A list of worlds (names and seeds) is loaded from the plugin's configuration, each is presented as a separate configuration option in the staging world. If the config is not found, a default set of worlds will be listed.

This allows you to play on specific seeds. Additionally, if a world folder already exists with the name specified, this world will be copied and the game will be played on the copy of the existing world. This allows for server admins to set up a world in advance with traps etc., or even allows you to play on a "destructible" version of your server's main world, safe in the knowledge that the original is untouched!

Superflat

This option generates superflat worlds. A list of worlds (names and preset code) is loaded from the plugin's configuration, each is presented as a separate configuration option in the staging world. If the config is not found, a default set of worlds will be listed.

Any superflat world preset code can be used, though those without villages, mineshafts or strongholds are not recommended for most game modes - without the ability to gather resources, most games might not be terribly interesting!

Playing on a superflat world is generally much harder than playing on a normal world.

Lava Land

A normal minecraft world, but with added lava.

Option: Replace sea with lava

Enabled by default

When enabled, the sea is replaced with lava.

Option: Add extra lava on land

Enabled by default

When enabled, lava source blocks will be placed randomly over the landscape, creating lots of extra hazards.
