Game Modes/Invisible Killer

Overview

At the outset, one player is assigned as the killer, and spawned separate from everyone else. Everybody is told who the killer is.

The killer is invisible, but becomes visible for 5 seconds after taking damage. They spawn with a compass that points at the nearest player, and some food.

The other players each spawn with an infinity bow, and some splash damage potions.

By default, every 10 seconds, each player will get a message telling them how far away the killer is, and the killer will get a message telling them how close the nearest player is. These messages only go out if the killer is less than 50 metres away. In this way, you should know whenever you're in immediate danger.

When you die, you'll become a spectator until the end of the game.

The game is won when the killer dies, when all the friendly players die, or when the friendly players manage to bring a blaze rod or a ghast tear from the nether back to the top of a plinth near the spawn.

Options

Tell players how far away the killer is

Enabled by default

When enabled, messages will tell players how far away the killer is every 10 seconds. The killer will also get a message telling them how close the nearest player is.

Killer decloaks when sword or bow is drawn

Disabled by default

When enabled, the killer will be automatically decloaked when they draw a weapon. This makes things considerably harder for the killer.
