Getting Started
Installation |
---|
Bukkit is currently required.
- Install WorldEdit first. (DON'T FORGET THIS)
- Download CommandBook and install it the same way.
- Run your server once to generate the files.
- Edit plugins/CommandBook/config.yml to your liking.
- Restart the server for the settings to take effect.
You'll have to read the wiki (see below) to find the permissions you need.
Want more features, faster? We need some help with something!

How do i add enchantments in kits?
@TheZerok666
Паря, сформулируй на человечем чтоб без непоняток, может разъясню.Копмилил с переводом, на днях эту же байду, гляну - подскажу...
%cname%
If you turn on fly you disable fall damage for that player for as long as he has fly mode on, no matter what. That should be investigated before you release it as a feature.
Hello! I'm using CommandBook on my Bukkit server, and I translated the messages in the config file to russian manually. The problem is that the call messages aren't showing the nickname, they're just like " %s запрашивает телепортацию! Используйте команду..." I know that you may not understand the words, but you don't actually need it. I just meant that there is "%s" in the message, instead of the actual nickname of the person who requested the teleport.
@CommodoreAlpha
Just yourself.
@jsay333
I have not been able to find them either
@jsay333
Maybe here - http://wiki.sk89q.com/wiki/WorldGuard/RuleLists/Actions
I couldn't find the permission for /fly or /flyspeed on the wiki, does anyone know what they are?
When you have a permission node like "commandbook.shock" that's accompanied by an "other" version of the node, like "commandbook.shock.other", would a permission like "commandbook.shock" give one the ability to use the command on anyone, or just them self?
with commandbook installed command blocks do absolutely nothing no matter what i put into them. i delete commandbook and everything is fine again and they work as normal so i know its commandbook not bukkit breaking it. is there a setting somewhere i need to mess with or....what?
If you change the value of -
introduced changes are not considered. And the message "You don't have permission." is not changed.
... poor Yorick!
file is - commandbook / src / main / java / com / sk89q / commandbook / CommandBook.java
How do i set prefixs with pex with commandbook?
@theluckyg
If you don't want bloatware, but still want the "important" commands, get CommandBook. If you're lazy and/or want most, if not all features of Essentials, get Essentials.
Essentials is like an out-of-the-box solution for those who want to get a generic, functional server running as quick as possible.
I'm a believer in the UNIX philosophy that states that programs should focus on one thing, and do it well. That's why I use CommandBook, and substitute what it's lacking in with other plugins.
@theluckyg
First I want to ask you the main plugins that you use for your server... I think they are WorldGuard and WorldEdit also Essentials... But why we use CommandBook rather than Essentials ? Yes, Essentials have also some cool stuff but It can be that the Essentials can mix up and broke something when it's worked with WorldGuard and WorldEdit. But CommandBook is from the same guy who brought us WorldGuard and WorldEdit. So it works great with them. Also CommandBook is much more lightweight than Essentials. Essentials can cause some lags for your server. CommanBook has everything you need for a simple and a professional server. I hope this answers your question.
Alright, I'm sure it's a nice plugin, I'm sure developers made a great effort creating it, but... is this really neccesary? I mean, all the functions (either showcased or not in the video) are already offered in essentials. Plus some more cool features like PowerTool or flight in survival. the only real advantage (imo) commandbook has over essentials (right now) is that it is updated to the last version(essentials doesn't give any error, though). My intention was not to offend, and if I did, I offer my apologies. Anyway, can someone explain me what function does CommandBook have that esssentials doesn't? (Except slapping, slaying... which are not really functions but funny ((and useless)) additions).
Can someone advise what i need to do with the kits to give someone an ENCHANTED weapon using commandbook?
For some reason NONE of the player commands are working? /thor /slay /rocket all thefun ones aren't working. I'm using java 7, i don't know if that has anything to do with it
Everythings seems to be working on 1.5.2 except for the /heal command See: http://paste.org/66133
@LegozandParatroopaz
yes but it does not have the stupid permissions or the super over complex retard config. it also don't make half the server lag.
I'm having trouble with commandbook. I load it up and the config seems bland, curious it also seems that /home and /spawn and every single command in commandbook doesnt work. Bar /cmdbook version and others.
This is kinda the same thing as essentials... :l
