BattleTags
BattleTags
Team-based player tags for Bukkit servers.
Overview
BattleTags introduces a vibrant new way to differentiate between players with popular team-based plugins. Players will see others' name tags colored to match their team, group, faction or town.
Note: Color codes take up 2 character spaces; any name longer than 14 characters will be shortened.
Features
Currently, BattleTags works with the following plugins:
- Factions by Brettflan: Tags are based on faction relations, according to the colors you've specified with Factions. Players will see a difference between allies, enemies, members and neutrals of their faction.
- SimpleClans by phaed420: Legacy support for below CraftBukkit 1.4.6-R1.0. Clan relations determine tag colors, as defined in the BattleTags config.yml file. Players will see a difference between allies, enemies, rivals and warring clans.
- SimpleClans2 by p000ison: Clan relations determine tag colors, as defined in the BattleTags config.yml file. Players will see a difference between allies, enemies, rivals and warring clans.
- Towny Advanced by ElgarL: Requires development build 0.82.0.6 or greater. Tags are based on nation relations, as defined in the BattleTags config.yml file. Players will see a difference between allies and enemies.
HealthBar by filoghost: Up close tags are as defined in healthbar, far away is like normal battletags. Both names will have the colors from the relation. Some healthbar configurations might not work.- Confirmed broken -> Sets health to 0
- Ancient RPG by MysticCity: Tags are based on team or party, as defined in the BattleTags config.yml file.
- xTeam by protocos: Tags are based on team relations, as defined in the BattleTags config.yml file.
- War by tommytony: Tags are based on team colors.
Installation
This plugin requires TagAPI or ProtocolLib to change the color of player tags.
This plugin requires TabAPI or ProtocolLib to modify the player tablist!
There is one command, /bt reload (battletags.reload), which defaults to op. It's drag, drop, and go!

BUGS
Healthbar is still not working
Also Towny deletion of nations and towns requires you to relog. Let's hope nobody does that often!
No console is withou errors...
at HealthBar page is.... Not compatible with: TagAPI (It could make players show 0 HP and hide team names; works with mob health bars)
Edit: TagAPI changes the name over your head. Health bar sets the score for the real username, but TagAPI has changed it, so the client won't know what's going on.
@Pixiyo
@rakyysek
Are there any errors in the console? If yes please post them on pastebin and give me the url! Ill check it out myself too
@Pixiyo
Same problem....
@kwek20
Health bar isn't working with this plugin... Using: dev protocollib + newest battletags + newest health bar plugin. Default config, any idea why?
@leadhead51
Good to hear it works now!
@kwek20
Thanks :)
@kwek20
I tried all from 1.6.4-1.7.x for both tagaip and battletags, i just do not think its gonna work for me, It's what i get for trying to force mods and plugins to be friends. I'll look for another way =[. Thank you for helping! brownie_points
EDIT: I finally gave up, tried all 3 latest versions of Prolib, Tagapi, and Battle tags. Got it to work. Idk why i did not think of that before.
@Redbu111
I will add it to the todo list ;)
@leadhead51
Hmm you could just try the 1.7 version, but dont use protocollib then!
@doomlordking
disable tablistin the cofnfig (false) its still WIP
Cant you add support for BattleArena? Would be awesome!!!
Running a ftb modded server and following their releases. :(.
If you remember what was causing it I'll play with your source.
Ever since i put this plugin on my server the tablist is displays X names and /list Y names, it displays player that logged off. Using protocollib / tabapi
@leadhead51
I elieve i fixed that error in the next versions. Any particular reason you dont update to 1.7?
Getting a spamming error with Battle tags and Towny. 15:36:11 [SEVERE] Could not pass event PlayerChangePlotEvent to BattleTags v2.4 There is more, but its in relation to towny and battle tags, Since ingame name tags do not change, I have TagAPI and prolib installed.
1.6.4 MCPC+, Tried with protocal lib, Still nothing.
@brodys
Please read the notes before spreading lies. I tested it myself and it works fine with the >default< configurations. Dont forget to use the latest protocollib dev build too!
If it still doenst work, please make a ticket with the stacktrace, if there is, the versions from healthbar, tagapi(if used, i dont recommend), protocollib and your healthbar config. Thanks
Added HealthBar compatibility. that's a lie, still doesn't work
@IlTricoco
Will do!
@xs0lidus
