WorldGuard Region Effects
Description
WorldGuard Region Effects lets you give WorldGuard regions effects. That means players automatically get a potion effect when they enter the region and lose it when they leave the region.
The plugin adds an additionally flag to WorldGuard regions: effects. This flag allows you to set multiple effects for the region. It requires WorldGuard Custom Flags to work.
The source is now available on github.
If the effects don't appear try:
/region flag __global__
effects speed
/region flag __global__
effects
Usage
Possible effects: speed, slow, fast_digging, slow_digging, increase_damage, jump, regeneration, damage_resistance, fire_resistance, water_breathing, hunger, weakness, blindness, poison, invisibility, night_vision and confusion. You can also set the level for the effect (ANY value, also values that would be impossible normally like negative values). For more information click here.
Example:
/region flag exampleRegion effects speed 3,jump II,damage_resistance -1
This line would affect that you get a much faster (speed 3), can jump about 2 block high (jump II) and get more damage (damage_resistance -1). As you can see here you can also use Roman numerals (just from I to VI) for the level.
Some usages I thought of, feel free to add your own
Commands
- /toggleeffects or /te - allows you to toggle the region effects (permission: effects.toggle)

Problems ?
If you have problems with this plugin read the F.A.Q.. If this did not help you, you can receive help here.
Does this plugin not work on a 1.6.4 Server? I downloaded it and everything correctly but it doesn't show up as being on it in game and no commands work. Please Help.
Plugin works okay in 1.7.2 (early bukkit dev builds). I thought we had a problem with the tick settings, but then I realized the latest version from June has a config file that controls this.
EDIT: I am still struggling with Night Vision ticks. There is occasional flicker for some reason, even when the ticks overlap the timers.
hi, when i run or move sometimes the potion effect go away despite i have 20 seconds of it, maybe if you dont update the effect every second, just update it some seconds before it finish, thanks, good plugin bro!
Any love for region group support? I really want to make these effects group-exclusive...
If you add NIGHT_VISION to effects, it changes potion from nothing to NIGHT_VISION every 1-2 seconds. Which means in dark places, it'll show black screen then normal skin then black again.
This is happening in 1.6.4. Please fix it.
Can you add it so you can bypass the effect?
I have an idea for a new feature. Can you add a time feature, that a few effects only active at night.

Now all goes. Thanks for the fast answer^^

Why do you need an update? o.0
I would like to have an update for this Plugin. Or know another player a Plugin what can this features too?
The source of your plugin is not on BukkitDev, therefore it will not work on CraftBukkitUpToDate. Please add the Source to BukkitDev, so you can add compatibility! Thanks!

Can someone update this? I get this error:

Has anyone found a solution to the zoom out zoom in problem?
@xtheudis Have you found a solution to the zoomin/zoomout problem?
Could you add the option to make the effects generated be ambient? Maybe add a check for : in the argument to indicate ambient (defaulting to not-ambient at zero)
So say /region flag MiningMalus effects SLOW_DIGGING 1:1,HUNGER 1:0
If it would be easier to add another argument to the flag after the listed effects and apply the ambience to the whole potion effect then go ahead:
"/region flag MiningMalus effects SLOW_DIGGING 1,HUNGER 1 -a"
Maybe just another flag that's boolean:
/region flag MiningMalus ambienteffects true

Thanks a lot for the new release, although I agree that the problem is still persistent, although at a lesser rate of zoom in and out. Is it possible to have a configurable amount of time, or at the very least a temporary fix of a longer delay such as the nausea & confusion effects, but of roughly 3 seconds instead of 20! I believe this would solve the problems. Thanks anyway, Tom
Hello,
The problem persists with the speed with the new release. Once the effect is removed to restart the "counter" a zoom-out zoom-in is sustained. Could you not put an infinite effect on entering the area and remove it when you leave the area?
Could you make it so that the plugin will automatically apply the effects as you enter the region? And from when you enter the region, it counts up to the delay.
Thanks a lot. I look forward to many great future releases!
