WoodCutter
WoodCutter
Made in Sweden by the hands of enjikaka
Description
With this plugin, all the logs in a tree will fall when you cut the bottom one. This only works if you have an axe in your hand. Works on all trees.

@Telbaru
Glad to see it worked out for you! :) Have fun!
updated my java-version to 1.7. now it works without problems. thanks!
@Telbaru
I tried running on the newest Spigot build as of that date before giving you a reply. Updating your Java installation might work, like LOLerul said. I am restrained to the Bukkit API. If it works on Craftbukkit, it should work on Spigot too, and if it does not, it is their problem. Then you'll have to report that problem to the Spigot development team.
Wow. If you see
it means that the code has been built on newer java than the version you are trying to run it on. Try updating to java 7 (if on java 6).
nice try but SimplePluginManager is part of spigot AND Bukkit (no plugin). So i tested it only with spigot build #1493 and craftbukkit. Craftbukkit works perfect no problem. But Spigot gives this error. So pls check the compatibility with spigot and don't give such fast answers.
@Telbaru
I can not recreate that error. Works fine on Spigot build #1493 (2014-jun-11 07:09:37).
The problem for you seems to be with SimplePluginManager.

@Telbaru
Nope. I will probably not update the plugin specifically to 1.7.9 since it already most likely works there anyway. Just because the latest version of my plugin states being for an earlier version of Bukkit does not mean it will not work on newer ones. (this applies to all plugins on this site, at least when there are only are minor version-changes) However, if it does not work on 1.7.9; then comment here so I can take a look.
There will be an update to WoodCutter soon with more features added, bug fixes and more configuration options.
Have a great day!
is there a version for 1.7.9 in progress?
@Lucario0203
Hello. This is intented. If it were not like this, you could easily break houses by accident. I will try to solve this problem eventually though.
@MrMontor
Charcoal will be added. And yes, it will work.
Thanks for the plugin, it works just as I hoped it would. There does seem to be one bug I've noticed though: After a creeper blew up the bottom section of a tree (so the tree was now floating), I axe'd the tree but only the block I hit broke. The plugin only acts when the tree is attached to the ground. I was wondering if this was intended, or a bug?
Two questions:
1. Will this plugin be updated to 1.8 after its release? 2. Would it be possible to add a feature where burnt logs drop a specified amount of charcoal?
@Frano35
It is not hard to read the description.
Use a permissions plugin and grant users/groups permission for woodcutter.use and they will be able to use this plugin.
@Barderella2
I had a similar accident.
Version 1.4.4, which has fixed this issue, can now be downloaded now.
@shop1126
This feature will probably come soon! :)
Hey I have a small suggestion for you :) When you cut down a tree cut it automatically place a sapling where it was cut? Thanks :)
I have big question... How can i configure this plugin so evryone can cut trees? i mean they can but like plugin dont work for them when i cut tree it ok but when someone else it wont work. anyone sugestions?
@CFoddr
This was a bug and is fixed in the latest version (v 1.4.4) which will be available when the slow workers here on BukkitDev accept it.
@aukwin
Nah, it'd be a bunch of more code. I'd like to keep this plugin small.
This plugins all ready exists why dont you add like the tree falls to the side like this just suggest
Is there any way to 'bypass' the plugin so it doesn't affect surrounding trees. maybe a '/woodcutter toggle' command ??
I was building a tree house, nearly finished it but decided to make an extra hole for a window Used an axe on a log &.... BAM !!
Whole sections of house/tree & leaves were totally destroyed All that hard work :,(
@enjikaka
I'll give it a try this evening. Thanks a lot!
Edit: Works. :-)
@maystorm_real
Oh, I'll fix that right away! :) Check back in an hour.
@Jolinar83
It does.
