Overview
VoxelSniper is the premier long range map editing tool for Minecraft. This mod allows you to edit any block that you can see using an arrow (for replacing) and a gunpowder (for adding). It is best used by those with a strong attention to detail and fits a wide array of applications, from making detailed edits to structures with the snipe brush, to making massive terraforming jobs a breeze with some of the earth shattering soft selection tools.
Metrics
This plugin utilises Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
- The number of Snipers/LiteSnipers online
- The number of times Brushes are used
Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

addition to my previous post - i can use commands as player but it returns help text (at least installed sniper) like /b d returns /b select-radius (e.g./b 5)

That usually only happens when you either hold your shift key, or (more likely) it got stuck in Minecraft. Have you tried pressing Shift again?
Shift-leftclicking a block with VoxelSniper's arrow tool is the same as setting that block with /v, and shift-rightclicking it is the same as setting it with /vr. With gunpowder, it's the same except for data values (/vi and /vir). It also provides you with the text you quoted. It's usually a nifty feature, but it can be confusing when you don't know about it.
any ideas what's wrong with it?
; I'm highly confused at the moment. I am running 1.2.3 R0.2 as suggested in the VoxelUpdate Download 1.1.1 (btw) and I installed VoxelSniper. I've used VoxelSniper a lot before from 1.7.3-1.1R4 (didn't bother with 1.1R5+ since those were very broken until a few RBs later) and now I'm trying to get my small server to 1.2.3 but here's the issue:
VoxelSniper 5.13(0 assuming as Bukkit doesn't count the last floating 0) is installed and when I attempt to snipe, I simply get a response as to what material I'm pointing to.
"Replace material set to 1 (STONE)" and this happens with the arrow tool and the gunpowder tool. It's rather unsatisfying to wait for an update and for there to be an issue in either my end or somewhere else along the line.

Be sure to put your name on the generated admns.txt file.
When I try any of the voxelupdate commands it just tells me it "needs to write help". Is there a direct link to the updated sniper? I can only find a link to the updated VoxelUpdate which isn't working for me.

Thank you. But if I need only one plugin, why I need to install other. But it does not matter: VoxelSniper is great plugin, so I can solve any puzzle to download it :)
P.S. Block 123, 124 does not supported yet :(
@fromgate Hello Fromgate i was wondering alot too! Though i found out that they could easily be installed from commands when the server is online. I think its called /voxelupdate or something like that, though its in the helplist if you have permission to everything :) There you can choose what plugin, from the voxelbox, you want to install. It will automatically put in the right folder, and you can both install/uninstall via the ingame commands. I think there is like 3 to remember. You just have to reload the server files/restart the server afterwards :) I hope this helped you, because it surely helped me :)

Oh! I found a nice quest, with installing VoxelSniper :)
1. Trying to download VoxelSniper.jar. VoxelUpdate.jar found. 2. Installing VU, starting server. VoxelSniper??? where's it? 3. VoxelUpdate folder created, finding an url=http\:dl.dropbox.com/u/53561471/VoxelUpdate.xml VoxelUpdate.properties 4. Downloading xml file. Yeah! There's an url of VoxelSniper.jar 5. Installing VoxelSniper.jar
P.S. Is there a more easy way to download it?

Tree spawning works fine with WE dev snapshot and R0.2 ... there was a problem with R0.1 and WE regen jungle area where trees would be invisible, or jungle trees would be invisible just exploring new terrain. That doesn't seem to be a problem anymore.
Just Voxelsniper 5.130 seems to be the only one now with the invisible tree issue.

You have to use VoxelUpdate to download Voxel Sniper. I imagine you could always use VoxelUpdate on a test server to get VS, then just delete VoxelUpdate.

Its apparent in Vanilla, using WorldEdit, and VS. Makes me think its a vanilla bug.

VoxelUpdate 1.1.1 is being upload as I type. VoxelSniper 5.130 (1.2-compatible) and VoxelGuest 4 BETA (1.2-compatible) will be available for download.
hope you'll update it to 1.2.3 soon 'cause i really need it and Port right here.
