TotalQuest
The only full blown quest framework!
TotalQuest is a framework to create and manage quests on your server. It's modular and (after it's finished) open for developers to expand as much as they want.
Some things to expect:
- Quest interaction goes through the map (id 0)
- Multiple active quests support
- Different kind of rewards (modular, developers can create their own rewards! For example:)
- Items
- Economy money
- Permissions
- Different kind of quests (modular, developers can create their own objectives! For example:)
- Go to location x,y,z
- Kill x mobs
- Gather x items
- Optional requirements for starting a quest (modular, developers can create their own requirements! For example:)
- Have more than 5 hearts of health
- Completed other quest first
- Activate events after or during a quest (modular, developers can create their own event types! This goes through the TotalEvent plugin. For example:)
- Spawn mobs
- Spawn items
- Backup/restore piece of the world
- Spawn blocks
- Build structures

Donating
I've had a few questions about donating. I've thought about this a lot and I stand by my opinion that you shouldn't donate if you haven't even got anything yet. That's why I thought about a new system. If you want to donate you can by clicking on the donate button on the top right of this page. But what are the benefits of donating? If I get a few donations I will try and take some vacation days and work non-stop on TotalQuest. Also if you want you can get early builds of TotalQuest.
Metrics
All the Total plugins use a service called Metrics by Hidendra. This will send anonymous data about the usage of this plugin to a website so we developers can monitor how much our plugins are being used. To opt out of this or if you want more information about this please visit: https:github.com/Hidendra/metrics.griefcraft.com/tree/master/Bukkit
@WillemvanDam
Giving them stuff? Stuff like what?! :)
Hello again! Are you gonna create something so you can give the npc stuff??
Hey found the version of Citizens that works on 1.2.4: http://ci.citizensnpcs.net/job/Citizens2/88/ and everything works now! Again, great plugin!
@WillemvanDam
Do you use Citizens V2? Also can you pm me (in Dutch ;)) with the problems your having with Permissions and SItem?
First of all, I realy like the idea and how it works. But, what do you mean by variables and why cant we use citizens? Btw I cant choose between permissions and SItem...
Allereerst, ik vind het idee echt leuk en ook hoe je het allemaal in elkaar wilt hebben. Maar, wat bedoel je met Varialbles en waarom doet onze citizens het niet? Btw ik kan niet kiezen tussen permissies en SItem...

Config? What's that? ;) Just to let you know. The only thing you have to change in the config files are the the modules you want to activate. So just place the files in your plugin directory, start the server, and edit the configs. Then restart the server and all is done.
Creation of quests, npc menus and events are all done in game through the map menu.
I do recommend you to read up on the permissions here
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/totalquest/pages/permissions/
If you need example values for the different modules I will make some new pages for them. As the current example's are way out dated (look here, http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/totalquest/pages/modules/, for the pages if you still want to have a look)
Ahh oki thx for help i forget Vault :D. But a second question. Can you make a example config for all an exampels for the variables?
@Fabian80645
you need
http://ci.citizensnpcs.net/job/Citizens2/
and
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/vault/
@Fabian80645
Currently I'm running CraftBukkit version git-Bukkit-1.2.3-R0.2-82-g82402ad-b2116jnks (MC: 1.2.4) (Implementing API version 1.2.4-R0.1-SNAPSHOT)
Also did you read all the stuff in my comments about Vault and Citizens?
Which version of Bukkit do you use for it? I test ist with 1.1 R6 an 1.2.4 R4 and it dont work,because Citizens dont work.
@dadaemon
Thank you, the link works now. :)
Two things. First one:
Two new YouTube videos.
Testing the Shake, LightningStrike, Explosion and TerrainBackup events of TotalEvents.

Second, new version ready for download:
Before you install this please read the following:
Have fun!
@SydMontague
Do you still have problems with my Dropbox links?
@Martijnie
I'm not thinking about implementing my own NPC methods. I think I wait for the Minecraft API to kick in before I work on my own NPCs. And even then, if other people make great NPC plugins why should I make my own? :)
Implemented NPC making would be still the best, so we don't have to use third party plugins, but I guess that doesn't have very high priorities now ;)
I can't download the lastest Beta, as DropBox wants me to log in...
Hay, when will you release a new version? (beta)
@Martijnie
I'm going to implement something like that. But this will be a "nice to have" and is not high on my todo list.
Also I had contact with the author of NPCWarehouse for compatibility. I'll maybe implement this myself into TotalQuest if it's needed.
Also, can the NPCWarehouse plugin be used for NPC's?
Link: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/npcwarehouse/
It would be pretty cool if the map can show NPC's nearby, so we don't have to guide our players to quests, but they can find them theirselfs.
Ok dear subscribers. I will release a new version of all the plugins tonight.
A lot has been changed and I would suggest removing your configs before using the new build. Here are some major changes:
We're beta testing the plugin on a server right now and found lot's and lot's of bugs and problems. Hopefully this latest version will be more solid than the previous ones. If you are running a test of this plugin please let me now! I'm very happy to hear any comments on it!
@Martijnie
change your signiture.
