TexturePack Changer
Works with 1.7!
About
Ever wanted a way to let your players choose what texture pack they wanted, without having to go through the hassle of downloading and installing it? Of course you didn't, you are a mean admin who likes to see his players suffer! For their sake, I wrote this.
Usage
Just drop the jar file in your plugins folder and restart your server! A default configuration file is created for you, with a few texture packs already configured and ready-to-use.
Commands
/changetp <texturepack name> Changes your texture pack. Requires TexturePackChanger.change or op.
/listtp Lists all of the textures in the config. Requires TexturePackChanger.list or op.
Signs
To let players easily change their texture pack, create a sign with the first line saying [TexturePack] and the second line the name of the texture pack. Requires the 'TexturePackChanger.change' permission. For example, if I wanted to make a sign that would enable Cellcraft, I would make a sign that said:
[TexturePack] Cellcraft
If you know of a texture pack that I should add to the default config, please let me know!
Editing the configuration file
Editing the config file is a snap. Make sure that you have started the plugin once before, so that the default config file is generated. The structure of the configuration is as follows:
Players: playername: texture: texturepackname Textures: texturepackname: url: http://path.to.texture.pack.zip
If you have any questions, let me know!
For texture pack creators
I will include any texture pack in the default config file to make it easier for users to get up and running with this plugin. This is a great way for you to get more publicity for your texture pack, and a great way for users to find your texture pack. If you have a texture pack included by default here, and you want it removed, leave a comment and I will remove it immediately.

How does the player go back to their original texture pak?
@Adondriel
Make sure you shut your server off properly after you delete your config folder. If you don't, it won't write the default config file.
This is AWESOME! :)
I would suggest the Sphax PureBDCraft texture packs. From 16x16 - 512x512. I know thats like 5-6 textures, but its just one of the many most used textures right now. So, yeah, hope this will be included by 1.4! :D
A good texture pack to add would be LB Photo Realism
I think you reuploaded 1.0?
@jtjj222
The new config is not generating for me, i deleted mine, but it isnt putting in the 3 new packs.
Fixed the config overwrite issue in version 1.1. Just waiting for bukkitdev to approve it.
A new version is out! Version 1.1 fixes the issues that these people were having, and adds Rustica, Ravencraft, and Forgottenlands to the default config.
@CreativeSushi
@dani1997
Config is overwritten again at every server restart.
Default TexturePack links to 0.0.0.0/0.zip and makes game hang.
Please fix.
I will definitely check this out, sounds neat!
Resets the config whenever I reload my server, so i cant add any texture packs. Also the default texture pack doesn't work.
@dani1997
Put it on a wall. There is a bug that causes signs placed standing no to work. I will fix it tomorrow. Sorry. EDIT: fixed in version 1.1
It's not working for me :( What am I doing wrong?
Maybe could you create a command like : /texture Name_Texture
That could be great to force this with VariableTriggers for example :)
Xephi
Amazing! Just what I needed for my server!
Dokucraft TSC 16x would be a good one to add to the default.
I know of a bunch of HD ones that are good for when you get that supported XD.
Sphax bd 16x, it looks pretty amazing :D for a default
@TheEpiDox
I am working on it. Is your minecraft patched with hd texture support? If not, try it and let me know if it works. I am almost certain hd packs will work on patched clients.
Is there a way to fix the Problems with 64x64 Texture Packs?
