Downloads
I'm too lazy to upload TARDIS files to Bukkit anymore, as builds are automatically created when the plugin is updated and changes pushed to GitHub.
Version specific downloads can be found here: https://tardis.pages.dev/download
Please make sure you are using the latest Spigot/Paper builds (for the Minecraft version you are running) before installing TARDIS or creating an issue!
What it does
TARDIS is a plugin that gives you the ability to create a Police Box that lets you time travel (teleport) to random locations. It adds a Whovian twist to the typical /sethome and /home commands.
As a player, you can:
- Create a TARDIS that is bigger on the inside.
- Time travel to a random location.
- Time travel back home (where you created the TARDIS initially).
- Save and list interesting time travel locations, so you can return to them easily.
- Take companions with you when you time travel.
- Make your TARDIS blend in with the Chameleon Circuit.
- Use your own schematic to build the TARDIS interior
- Grow new TARDIS rooms
- Use Artron Energy
- Remote control the TARDIS
- Custom TARDIS sounds with companion Resource Pack
- Custom TARDIS textures with companion Resource Pack

Installation
As a minimum, just drop the TARDIS.jar, TARDISChunkGenerator.jar (look under Additional Files on the download page) and any optional plugins listed below into the Bukkit plugins folder and start your server. For more detailed instructions see: https://tardis.pages.dev/installation-v5
Optional installs
These are not needed for TARDIS to function, but enhance the plugin with extra features...
- Install the TARDIS-SoundResourcePack in the Minecraft client to hear custom TARDIS sounds
- Install the TARDIS-Resource-Pack to see aal the fancy textures and models (requires TARDIS v4.2 or higher).
- Install the TARDISChunkGenerator plugin so that you can generate TARDISes in their own self-contained world (included on the TARDIS plugin download page under Additional files).
- Install WorldGuard to automatically protect your TARDIS from griefing, and stop mobs spawning in TARDIS worlds.
- Install TARDISWeepingAngels to add some Whovian mobs to the game.
- Install a Permissions plugin, so that you can restrict or grant players the rights to use TARDIS’ different features. We like PermissionsBukkit.

Bugs / Requests
Please post a ticket for TARDIS plugin requests and bugs, thank you :)
WARNING: I am no longer prepared to waste my time looking at incomplete tickets. If your ticket does not follow the guidelines set out below, it will be deleted immediately!
Make sure you have read the FAQs first, as your question may already be answered there. Also make sure you have searched for a previous ticket with the same/similar issue (use the Filters to search closed tickets).
If you are going to create a BUG ticket you need to supply relevant information (as I'm not a mind reader, nor do I have access to your server...) - as a minimum you need:
- Exact CraftBukkit version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis version
command if possible, otherwise copy from server log - Exact TARDIS version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis version
command if possible, otherwise copy from server log - The server log showing the entire error (as a paste or at Pastebin - NOT a screenshot) - this should be the log from when the server starts up right through to when the error occurs
- If no error in the log, then a video of the bug happening or the EXACT steps needed to reproduce the issue.
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/config.yml file or other configuration file if relevant
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/TARDIS.db file if relevant
- List of other plugins on server
Stats
Basic statistics are collected for some versions of the TARDIS plugin (v2.5.8 and earlier). You can opt out at any time by setting opt-out: true
in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml
External web access
Version 2.8 (and higher) of this plugin includes a translation feature (the /tardissay
command) that connects to the Lingva translation service.
You can prevent players from using the command by removing / not giving them the permission tardis.translate
can you help me?
i need help instaling
@xXSshadowXx
That was weird, I set up a fresh test server and TARDIS wouldn't even enable with that last file... I did a clean and build from NetBeans without changing any code and now its working fine,
/tardis
command and all...File is here: https:dl.dropbox.com/u/53758864/TARDIS-1.9.3-SNAPSHOT.jar
@eccentricnz
I added it. However the /tardis command doesn't appear to be working. I tried /tardis comehere and also tried to build one and neither worked. However the /tardisadmin command does still work.
No errors in console either.
Edit - You were correct that we use Multiverse
@xXSshadowXx
Okay, try this, I've presumed you use Multiverse for world management though... [EDIT] Added MultiWorld plugin support too :)
TARDIS 1.9.3-SNAPSHOT
@eccentricnz
Much appreciated. This is probably a personal favorite of mine :)
@xXSshadowXx
Will see what I can do tonight :)
@eccentricnz
Would there be any way to get a fix for that? I have had to disable it completely now. It's not the destination world that's the problem as it is the world they enter the Tardis on. Since I have my Tardis' set to generate on a creative world there's no way to stop it atm on survival.
@eccentricnz
Originally I was using 1.4, but then found that it worked with 1.6. Whenever I first downloaded the most up-to-date version (I had to downgrade because of the WitherListener freaking out every 5-10 seconds) I was able to switch the key to a SONIC_SCREWDRIVER, yet with 1.6, it says that it is an incompatible material. The Bukkit version didn't change, which is what I thought said what was compatible or not.
@eccentricnz
That's a smart idea, so will that super charged creeper be in the TARDIS by default?
@ThePokeFreak5000
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that you will be able to jettison TARDIS rooms that you have grown to get back 75% of the energy it cost to create them.
@xXSshadowXx
If players are flying already, it tries to set flying again, as moving between worlds will turn off flying by default, the code is like this:
Maybe an extra check to see what the GameMode of the
to
world is and if it is survival thensetAllowFlight(false);
But I have noticed some weird behaviour with this lately, while working on v2-SNAPSHOT, but I don't know if it is related...
I had to disable this plugin :( Somehow there is a bug with it that allow people to fly on a survival world. I am still trying to figure out how. I will give more details as soon as I find out.
Edit - Actually I am just going to disable our PVP/Survival as a destination for now.
@ThePokeFreak5000
At the moment no, but it does warn you when it is getting low :)
It is still early days for v2 so that may change, or be in a future version
@eccentricnz
Ok, thanks. Also if you run out of Artron energy, will the TARDIS allow you to travel to one more destination so you can pick up more? Like if I made an area for the TARDIS to land in a city, and I have a beacon there. My TARDIS runs out of Artron in the middle of no where, will it let you travel one more time to let you charge it back up?
@ThePokeFreak5000
There might be a beacon inside the deluxe size TARDIS... but I'm hoping all TARDII will have an Artron Energy Capacitor something like this:
Every TARDIS will have either a sign, or button associated with Artron Energy, clicking the sign/button will do one of 4 things:
The TARDIS can also pick up stray Artron Energy if it is close to the location of a lightning strike
For the new beacon Artron energy recharge idea, if you have a beacon inside the tardis ( interior ) will it charge it, if it did would it be faster? Could there be some kind of storage like a chest with an Artron energy sign on it, and can supply extra power? I hope you can answer these questions, and hopefully I might have given some idea. Thanks
@DeadShotm1
Will see what can be done about Tekkit compatibility... what version did you get up to?
I love this plugin, definitely one of my favorites. But, I run a tekkit server so I had to use an outdated version. There are many new features I would love to enjoy. Will there be any plans for this to be for tekkit? (I use RedPower 2's Sonic Screwdriver to open my TARDIS!)
Oh my god, this has made my day haha :L
