How do I use it ?
Don't want to watch the awesome video ? Fine, here are the basic commands.
/mv create skylands normal -g SkylandsPlus
Or a skylands style Nether like this
/mv create skylands nether -g SkylandsPlus
Or a skylands style End like this
/mv create skylands the_end -g SkylandsPlus
Other world management plugins should have similar commands, I use Multiverse on my server which is why I only provide the instructions for that. The documentation for which ever plugin you use should tell you how to do it. You can also add a world by editing the bukkit.yml file, instructions on how to do that can be found on the Bukkit wiki.
Config
prevent-sand-falling: true restrict-mob-spawning: true
prevent-sand-falling - When set to true no sand will fall in skylands worlds.
restrict-mob-spawning - When set to true the number of mobs in a single chunk will be limited to a sane amount in skylands worlds.
Contributing
Contributions to the project are very much welcome, if you have a feature that you want implemented and know a nice way to do it then consider forking the repo and submitting a pull request. These will be accepted as long as the following simple guidelines are followed.
- Do not edit the structure of the pom.xml file, feel free to add a dependency if you need it but the formatting and structure should not be changed.
- If you are exposing a new API method, add a JavaDoc comment to it, but don't over-comment internal code.
- Follow the existing code style, don't antagonise over every space though !
All dependencies that are used are now available from a public Maven repo, so you don't have to worry about building several other projects just to add a simple change any more.

im using multiverse2 the latest AB but whenever i try to generate skylands it gives me errors
im using v6.0 for skylands
so im having abit of a problem with getting multiverse to like me, im using the /mv create <worldname> NORMAL -g SkylandsPlus command with multiverse 2 but im getting a parsing error any talk about it being incompatible with multiverse 2?
@VariousArtist
I'll look into it tomorrow, if it only happens with the later build I imagine this has to be due to a bug with Bukkit that was introduced some point between 1744 and 1767.
The part of the code that the error refers to is very unlikely to break like that, all I can think of is a missing Material Enum, which would be a very odd thing to have happen !
Wide, I had this on a firststart with cb1767: http://pastebin.com/sTL8UwK5
No issues when using it with cb1744. Nothing more tested, yet.
Sry, but I havent had time to look into it, but maybe it helps!
@VariousArtist
:D
There should be no ugly borders, the biomes may have moved slightly just like in the normal worlds.
Thanks for the fast update, wide_load! Keep up the good work!MadRealms loves you!
PS: Hows the compatibility with 0.6 generated skylands?
Less fail, more style ;)
@nedercraft
No problem :D
@wide_load
my apologys next time I will do that, was in kind of a hurry.
@foreverlastd
Multiverse needs to update for it to work since they do not support the latest world types yet.
I think you will need to change it in the config file though, I think it
or somethign similar.
@godgodgodgo
Instead of using BiomeBase, I now use Biome :)
BiomeBase = Minecraft Biome = Bukkit
Great plugin, but I can't figure out how to change the void color as you mentioned. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or it's an incompatibility with MultiVerse. Where do I change the world to "superflat" to obtain the blue void.
"Made the code slightly less Notch-like." XD what does that even mean!? haha

Please file a ticket next time.
some Biomes make 1.1 crash. servers crashes.
How use whit xcraftagte?
@killerx243
Oh, you can make it the default work by editing the worlds section of your bukkit.yml file, the wiki should show you how :D
@killerx243
There is no way to configure that, the code that creates the shape of the island was pretty much copied from the 1.8 server .jar file and as far as I can tell there is no easy way to change the size of the islands.
How use whit xcraftagte?
Is there anyway to configure it? Like Islands spawn closer, or smaller? Also none of the config files generate... Also is their a way to make a skylands world the default one.
@VariousArtist
Tell me about it ! While it is pretty fun to have a overall goal, in multiplayer it really doesn't work. And skylands was really cool !
Glad you like it anyway.
