SkyLab
SkyLab is a Theatrical Kill, Kick and ban plugin for administrators. SkyLab emulates a orbital space station powering up and raining death on your target.
Features:
- One command
- Fully configurable text.
- WorldGuard soft dependency allows it to respect regions.
- Toggle terrain destruction
- Kills players no matter what mode
- Kicks
- Bans
- Leaves a smoking crater where your foes once stood
- Explosion radius now adjustable
- Players entity cannot leave the game until the process is complete.
Soft Dependency
World Guard This allows SkyLab to check if the player is in a region and if so it disables terrain destruction
Command:
/SkyLab [mode] <name> /SL for short
Possible modes are none, kick, and Ban.
Permission node
SkyLab.* - Full access to SkyLab SkyLab.kill - Allows user to use basic SkyLab SkyLab.kick - Allows user kick with SkyLab SkyLab.ban - Allows user to ban with SkyLab
ToDo
- Player offline "Hunt" mode (When player logs back in skylab launches automatically.)
- Add color customization.

I am in the process of fixing all of your stated problems. I am switching to a smoother process for the system and removing the lightning for what I believe will be a better effect. Not going to leak the actual plan yet but from the test runs its looking good. Have patience with me a little longer as the last few months have put a good layer of rust on my skills but I'm getting back into the swing of things.

where is the new version?
atm itscausing a memoryleak when used but no errors are thrown.
and it causes Everyone on server to freeze and lags out the server dropping it from 20tps to 0 for 30 seconds after its launched.
basically it freezes entire server completely locking it up and then 30 seconds lader all the lighting and explosions happen at once then the cant keep up spam happens for a minute.
i am running on 3gb ram and when i launch it it drops it from 2.5gb (the plugins take up half a gb ram) to 10mb and then takes up to 10 minutes to restore back to normal.

Hello to anyone who has been patent enough to keep watching my feed. Sorry about the long delay. I have been going through a ton of issues and have only recently gotten back online. I hope to have skylab updated with a new look sometime in the next three days. Shortly thereafter I will update charonsferry and layeredbuild. I have some huge projects planned including finishing locksmith(lost all the old code so more like starting from scratch) and a new increased difficulty plugin that I haven't figured out a name for yet. If you have any requests on any of my plugins please try and get them in this week so i can try to incorperate them as I go.
Yeah sorry about the huge delay Sharzademar has recently started an intership and I have been busy with family issues. I hope to be back at all my plugins soon.

Quick update to everyone. Once diamondeyes and lava walk are finished we will be adding the custom chat colors and the hunt mode. This will be released immediately after the rb is released. After that sharzademar will continue to add new death modes. Due to all the new thread safe death modes the actual skylab mode will remain server lock rain death super death as its been.
Hey guys, just wanna give a quick overview of the kill commands I'll be adding to SkyLab in the next release. All of the commands will work just like SkyLab (kill, kick, or ban):
Lavawalk (/lavawalk [mode] [player]): Turns the ground underneath the victim to lava as they walk. The ground reverts back to normal after they die.
Diamondeyes (/diamondeyes [mode] [player]): Spawns a tempting vein of diamond ore near the victim that explodes when interacted with. Other players cannot interact with these blocks and will therefore be safe.
Comet (/comet [mode] [player]): Turns the victim into a comet, teleporting them into the air and sending them hurtling towards the ground like a fiery ball of doom.
Finger of God (/fingerofgod [mode] [player]): A giant hand will appear above the victim and descend on the player, destroying the player and the ground around him/her. The ground will heal back, and a grave will appear where the player was killed.

Alright when I update this next time I will try and figure out why this is happening. It shouldn't since skylab stops the server activity while its running but maybe I have a memory leak somewhere I haven't spotted. I glad that Ultraloggers fix worked. They were really on the ball. Anyways bear with me adamwbb as this was my first plugin and I'm sure there are tons of improvements I can make.

explosions are set to off however even after i removed ultralogger but skylab is still eating up massive resources on server. just a run sent my server down from 1gb free to 128mb free this time no log errors.

I can implement a non locking verson you can toggle to. I already had this planned for a future update. I like the teleport to location idea a lot. And then return to previous location once its done. I have also been considering having it create a skylab in the sky once it starts and remove it once its done. If I do decide to do this I will be holding a contest and the winners skylab would be the one used. First things first however is to finish making the hunt mode and adding the ability to format the text messages with colors and styles. Thanks for the great suggestions and once I'm done with my new plugin and the new release of CharonsFerry I will be back here to update skylab once again.
This would be cooler if you could toggle the locking everything. it kinda drags not being able to chat. also would be cool if all players online could choose to witness the kill with a command. where all the players that choose would be teleported into a circle around the player getting killed.
We believe the incompatibility with ultralogger has been resolved. Their team was extremely responsive and actually adjusted the code on there end to read skylab. If you use ultralogger please drop me a line so we can see if this fix worked.
@adamwbb Could you let us know what version of ultralogger you are using?
