SimpleAnnouncer only has 1 command with 4 options:
- /sa - Displays the help page - SimpleAnnouncer.sa
- /sa start - Starts announcements - SimpleAnnouncer.start
- /sa stop - Stops announcements - SimpleAnnouncer.stop
- /sa reload - Reloads the plugin - SimpleAnnouncer.reload
NOTICE: You need the permission: SimpleAnnouncer.sa to use any of the other options. You can also use the wildcard SimpleAnnouncer.* which gives access to everything
The configuration file for this plugin has become too large to display here. You can find the full configuration file here. There you will also find information about how to use per permission/world/group announcements, as well as information on how to run commands before and after announcements.
You can use all the colour and style codes in the Tag and your Announcements! So all you have to do is add your messages to the Announcements section and let the Plugin do the work.

This is all it needed... Took me longer to decompile it than it did to despam the thing.
Our server is a long time user of this plugin, and I have a request. Is it possible to make simpleAnnnouncer NOT post the announcements to the syslog? I have to dig through logfiles fairly often and not having hours upon hours of announcements that are really only useful to those in chat would be great.
Perhaps an option in the config for silent where NOTHING except maybe errors are posted to the syslog!
Thanks!
I'm glad to hear people are still using this! I'm getting back into developing now and would love to hear any other suggestions you have on how to improve it or make it snazzier! I'll also update it in the next few days with this feature added.
I like the plugin but i absolutely hate how the creator put in the stupidest things in the pre-made config. It takes me a while to remove all the stupid commands you put in here that I don't want. As well, the config is hard to understand. Please make it easier to understand.
@Elementwing4962 Could you please show me the error that comes up in the console?
@mrretrus Hi there! You can see the configuration file here that shows examples on how to do each of the different types of announcements. If you need a hand with anything or something's confusing you, just give me a shout!
Hello. I love the fact that this plugin can allow only some groups to see the annoucment but I can't seem to get it right. I do, ['Mod', 'Admin', 'Dev', 'Devmin', 'Owner'] 'then the message', but it creates an eror in console. How do I do it correctly?
Well this plugin had great potential- Too bad theres no one example on how to actually USE any of the features -.- All these functions but not one example on how to make lets say- this message shows only to groups ab in world c. Useless
Hello,
I am trying to use this plugin but its generating an error! http://pastebin.com/3ESQudbF

@iBukkit
Me too
I've got a few questions about how this plugin works. I don't understand how I can make per-world announcements and if the number or whatever you choose to put there behind the announcement or worlds or the other stuff means something or it can just be random (or if 1 is related to 1, hello to hello, etc). And what do the permissions do? Thank you
Hello, I have installed SimpleAnnouncer and i have configured my messages but every time there come a message like: New in 2.0: Commands, Permissions, Worlds, Groups, More tags: %phealth%. Enjoy! and also this one: New in 1.8: Tags! %version%
This is my Dutch config (because i'm Dutch): http://pastebin.com/V5Ya0qFq
Hey,
Looks awesome! Does your per world announcement mean you can set different messages for different worlds? Because another broadcast plugin I used, the only thing you could change between worlds was the frequency of the messages! That explains why I am now here. Also this works on craftbukkit1.7.9?
Many thanks,
Jack
so i have got this error msg in my console and i just cant figure it out.

@kezz101
Sorry if I sound like an idiot but I still do not understand where you put the message that you want to be broadcasted to that certain world.
@Socoolluke
Take a look at the config here. If that doesn't help then get back to me and I'll help you further.
I'm very confused about how to set up a per world announcement in the config. Can you explain it and show me an example? There is no example in the config and I'm using the newest version and I refreshed the config,
@rohanmcdermott1
Sorry to disappoint you, but I am the official tester for this plugin. I can tell you that Kezz hasn't been online (not even away) for months on IRC... So I guess I'll have to answer the questions here. To make a per-world announcement, you can base yourself on the examples brought in our latest (hopefuly still functional) update. If you don't have them, try regenerating a config.yml.
How do i make a per world announcement? what is the code that i need?
Why does the announcment spam the command 4 times?
Hey amte, Will yu be updating this any time soon?
