Simple Player List
Main | Installation | Configuration
Description
Simple Player List is the successor to OnlinePlayers. It is a plugin which collects the currently active members on your server and sends the information to a webpage that can be viewed by the public.
It displays whether or not the server is online, the users who are currently online (if any) and the number of users online out of the total that can be online.
There are two configuration files. One for the Bukkit plugin, so that it can connect to the PHP script. The other is to configure the functionality of the actual list display.
Permissions support (which is entirely optional), to enable the creation of custom ranks. You can create as many ranks as you want, and call them whatever you like. The purpose is to add a little tag, or prefix before the user's name in the player list.
Features
- Automatically updating active player list, viewable as a webpage.
- Permissions support for custom ranks. (Optional)
- Easy to configure with simple and explained config files.
- Status of the server is displayed as offline or online.
- Run on ANY Server. The server can send the list to any website or computer that has the correct php files. This means if the physical Minecraft server is off, the scripts can still run and display that the server is offline.
- Compact display. No confusing extra crap around the page to distract from the real purpose of the list.
- The ability to display a users skin face next to their name.
- The format of the list can be altered and parts removed to get exactly what you want.
- Give your users ranks with the config.yml file and simple permission nodes.
- Simple Prefix (link) integration. If you are running Simple Prefix, users prefixes will be used as ranks.

To Do's

Thanks, Hayden
Do you think It would be possible for you to add a text-color in the index.php file? I was able to change the background color, but not the text color.
Thanks you for all your hard work :D
Regards, Hayden.
@auntphil
That's why default is every 3 minutes, so it doesn't slow down or lag anything out.
@Flabaliki
Good point. All my pages are at the root, so they can share the files needed without using the iFrame method. But that would be the easiest method for sure. Also I had to remove the plugin due to it slowing the server down, over time it would send, look for updates non stop. Every 3 seconds it would check for online players. Ultimately timing out my server.
@auntphil
You can do that, or even easier, just use an iFrame on another page. That way you can have all the files and such in a different folder, but have the list on any page, or multiple.
@metalguitarist
Yes there is. Take the code from the index file and put it into your template or webpage you you want it on. Make sure all the Simple Playlist files are in the same folder as the webpage.
Hello,
Is there a possible way to embed this into an existing template?
Thanks!
Having the same problem as auntphil
@DreamPhreak1 Yeah sure, I'll do that next version.
@auntphil His skin actually is black, just checked it on that website.
@Flabaliki
While watching the list on your site, I noticed that a few faces are all black, Stellarenvoy for instance. He is an OP on the server, is his skin all black or is his skin having the same problem that mine is?
Can you please add a way to disable the "[INFO] [Simple Player List] Refreshed." messages? At certain hours throughout the day when the server is quiet with only 3 people online, the console is entirely filled up with this spam. It is making all of the logs bigger, cant find anything through the console window either. The only other fix i can think of is making it refresh only a few times an hour.
Other than that, awesome plugin, i was afraid i was going to have to learn for a way to add the player faces to Online Players on my own D:
@auntphil Right. Weekend is coming up, I'll have another go then.
@guenael44
My server did this also. I saved the configuration on the server and then reloaded the server. It then went back to the 180 sec interval.
@Flabaliki
SendDelay: 180
@Flabaliki
Unfortunately it is still black. I deleted the older receiver.php and my image from the skin folder before putting the new one on.
@auntphil
Ok, I think I may have a possible fix, try replacing your current receiver.php with this one: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/34607922/Plugins/Simple%20Player%20List/receiver.php
Tell me if that works or not, thanks.
The smaller sizes are also black. And I believe it is all players.
@SilentShadow79 I'll have a look at that in the next version.
@auntphil Those errors shouldn't compromise the functionality of the editor. That is a bit of code as a version checker. It basically would alert you if a new version of the plugin is available. However, the host has disabled file access. I'll fix that in the next version, for now, it shouldn't pose as any more than an eye sore.
So, as for the faces, is it every face on the server, everyone's face is black, or are there some that aren't? Can you try reducing the Face Size option. try something really small, try 8.
I checked the skin online and it appears correctly on that site. I also checked the skin folder inside of images and that image is also black. So it is 'displaying' correctly, just not getting the image correctly the first time.
[edit] I have been getting errors also on the editor page. These errors are on all the editor pages
@Flabaliki
Well it is for me and my staff, I use Vanish No Packet on my server, when I am hidden it shows me as online in the player list. Is it possible to add support to hide hidden players on the list or put in a command or permission to hide yourself from the player list?
