Simple Player List
Main | Installation | Configuration
Description
Simple Player List is the successor to OnlinePlayers. It is a plugin which collects the currently active members on your server and sends the information to a webpage that can be viewed by the public.
It displays whether or not the server is online, the users who are currently online (if any) and the number of users online out of the total that can be online.
There are two configuration files. One for the Bukkit plugin, so that it can connect to the PHP script. The other is to configure the functionality of the actual list display.
Permissions support (which is entirely optional), to enable the creation of custom ranks. You can create as many ranks as you want, and call them whatever you like. The purpose is to add a little tag, or prefix before the user's name in the player list.
Features
- Automatically updating active player list, viewable as a webpage.
- Permissions support for custom ranks. (Optional)
- Easy to configure with simple and explained config files.
- Status of the server is displayed as offline or online.
- Run on ANY Server. The server can send the list to any website or computer that has the correct php files. This means if the physical Minecraft server is off, the scripts can still run and display that the server is offline.
- Compact display. No confusing extra crap around the page to distract from the real purpose of the list.
- The ability to display a users skin face next to their name.
- The format of the list can be altered and parts removed to get exactly what you want.
- Give your users ranks with the config.yml file and simple permission nodes.
- Simple Prefix (link) integration. If you are running Simple Prefix, users prefixes will be used as ranks.

To Do's

Just so it doesn't spam?
First, nice plugin, use it on ConnectCraft.de (:
but, can you add an option to edit the interval from the Refreshing?

Not at all, that is server commands. And this is a full plugin and a player list already formatted for you. Websend just gives you access to server features. Mine is specifically what you see here, and is a fully complete plugin.
Additionally, Websend is for developers to create things with. Not everyone is a developer.
Isnt this redundant to Websend?
Interesting plugin, I'll try it

Faces will not appear instantly. As I said below, they have to be downloaded and resized. This can take a few seconds depending on the speed of your server. After it's done once, it will be quicker.
If they do not appear at all, instead of viewing the index.php, load the receiver.php and let that fully load until the faces appear. The index may be refreshing too fast for it to finish downloading the faces.
@angelofdev
No problem, glad you like it :)
The faces are invisible on my site... Why ?
I installed Php5-gd with apt-get php5-gd
my site:

I love the new face grid. This just made it perfect. Thank you.
@Landstreet
Yes, you should put them somewhere so you can view them in your web browser.
@arkdengal
Can you send me the actual URL in a PM if you don't want to share it, so I can take a look at it. If the web server is on port 10, then you need to use http://xxx.net:10/playerlist/receiver.php
@Kekler
Sure, I can take a look at that, I'll message you back when I have something to show you. And I'm not sure why the faces aren't working. I'll see if I can debug that for you.
EDIT: Oh, I know what you might be experiencing. The script has to download the skins from an external site, it then crops and resizes them and caches them. When it downloads, it can take a little while, and whilst it is doing so, the list tends to appear blank. However, after the first time, it will work perfectly fine.
i keep getting
Can not connect to: http://xxx.net/playerlist/receiver.php
i checked both configs and they both say xxx.net
i have also tried localhost, 0.0.0.0 and the absolute IP
my folder for your plugin in my httpdocs is playerlist
passwords are the same and chmods set as instructed
tcp: 10 is open
im totally lost here, why isnt this working?
I have PHP53-GD installed but when I enable faces, the entire list is blank, nothing. But when I disable them it works fine. Running the newest bukkit too!
Also would you be able to help me with editing the receiver.php to be able to show a grid of just faces with their names on hover? I hear a $5 donation gets you some coffee :)
@Flabaliki
Should you add the files so that other poeple can see them on your website?
@Landstreet
Where are the files though. Can you link me to your receiver.php?

@Landstreet
Can you give me the URL to your player list. If I know what the link is, I may be able to help.
i have done everything like the installation guide said, but i cant see the player list
you know what might be wrong??
@binarycoder
Oh, I actually forgot to remove the players when the server shuts down. Sorry, I'll fix that asap. Permissions 3? I thought everyone just used super perms now days, I thought Permissions died out ages ago.
EDIT: I've just fixed the players showing up in the list after shut-down. 1.0.1 should be up soon. See the installation page about updating.
Wow! This is exactly what I've been looking for! Everything is easy to set up, and works fine so far. One bug I have encountered is that information of the players who were on when it goes offline stays up when the server goes down. Also, any chance you could implement Permissions 3 (or whatever the newest version is)
