Runecraft
Runecraft is a gameplay modification for SMP, that adds magic to the game without any commands. Runecraft is the longest running Minecraft mod, dating back to the Alpha days. Runecraft boasts over 120 runes and is still under active development. Everything you need in one, immersive, magic plugin.
Magic is done through the form of "runes", significant shapes of materials laid out in the actual game world. These runes can create unique short-term tool enchants, teleporters, hidden walls/passageways, and even the ability to create mobile teleporting bases.
- Player built simple Teleporters that use unique combinations of blocks to identify destinations
- Specific enchantments for dealing with natural hazards (lava, floods, falling gravel)
- Magic blocks that flip between two blocks when you activate them, or reveal secret passages
- Redstone compatibility: allowing runes to be activated by redstone signals
- Multi-world support: all features are completely compatible with multiple-world servers
- Commandless setup: Runecraft is designed for minimum hassle in configuring it. plugin and go!
- Easy configuration: it's simple to disable a rune entirely, or a rune per person.
- Optional permissions compatibility
- Requires no client modification
Runecraft prides itself on its immersive nature, with no need for any slash commands. Everything can be done in-game by players, constructing the runes to create the effects they're looking for. Runecraft is an extremely popular addon for roleplay, PVP, and small servers because of it's out of the box ability to just be installed and start running, and covering a variety of pseudo-administrative and gameplay mechanics from an entirely in game point of view.

@Narniaboy1
Interesting. I will look into this more!
Not sure if this has been reported, but using a Mineshaft w/ a Lapis block creates a very short tunnel - only 3 blocks.
@Narniaboy1
Not a problem friend! Most likely that will not be done until after New Years as there is a ton of holiday things going on, but we will work on it! :D
Thanks man! Nice to have a reply. I looked into using Pore to have 3 run w/ Sponge, but it's very finnicky. Good luck with the migration!
@Narniaboy1
We 100% have plans to move or copy it to the Sponge API. However right now, you can play with the latest by applying for Igniculus here. You can also build the code that Spigot is outputting for Bukkit. You will find that here.
Hope this is helpful! :)
Hi,
I was wondering if you had considered moving Runecraft to the Sponge API. With Craftbukkit no longer being developed, I can no longer use this plugin, even though I love it dearly. I'd love to hear back from you about this.
@Mouse1703
We can definitely look into it! :D I believe it is no longer possible, but I will talk with the others.
Is there a way, or if not could there be a way in an upcoming release, to disable runes with different tools that can use them on a per-tool basis? For example, disable Power Pick while keeping Power Shovel and Power Axe enabled? This was possible prior to Runecraft 3.0, but the merging of those three into the umbrella Power Tool killed that functionality, as far as I know.
@tomori_peti
Someone has a tool or armour with "faulty" lore. We fix this in Runecraft 3.01. We are slow on this release due to families, Thanksgiving, and Christmas so close together. Sorry for the hassle!
Runecraft 3.0 spamming my console with this error: http://pastebin.com/svM3ZsWn I deleted the previous config, generated a new a world and still the same. However when i simply start the server i don't get any errors, it only starts spamming when the first player joins.
Placing the blocks in a chest did indeed work. The wiki is outdated in the method for blacklisting blocks, it seems.
@Mouse1703
Strange, try it with a chest. Put the blocks in there. Might be that I did not know that was necessary now or forgot. That is strange, I will double check that message string.
Reality Master's filter block doesn't seem to be working. I put a block of endstone above a downward-facing piston in an RM in the end, activated it, and it went ahead and just ate all the endstone under it anyway. Also, getting a "your way has been barred from the other side" message when creating a waypoint or faithpoint that overwrites the signature of another waypoint or faithpoint that has been broken. The rune accepts just fine; it's just a pointless message that appears along with the various "rune accepted" messages.
@Mouse1703
This is a bug and will be fixed soon. I think it may be something to do with the id's.
Bottomless Cauldron doesn't allow players to fill buckets anymore.
@Rchard333
The rune itself is based on the lore on the tool. Currently, you cannot remove this lore without admin commands, we will be making Dispel remove it, but if you do not want the effect, you can just hold shift.
Potential bug?:
Some player was trying to get rid of the power tool rune on his diamond pickaxe which was half destroyed. He used an obsidian dispel rune and it didn't go away and I though it was due to the high tier since it then becomes an AoE so told him to try a cobblestone one. The cobblestone one didn't work either and I tested his same pickaxe on one to make sure and got the same result of the rune effect remaining.
Edit#1: also tested to make sure the rune effect actually did work and it still did.
@Rchard333
That is indeed quite odd...will look into.
Found a bug with runic energy.
Throw a firework into lava and get 2,147,483,647 runic energy.
@erdrickk
Most things are fairly safe. Reality Master might be something to get rid of, but relatively safe otherwise. I would advise testing or looking up each rune to see exactly what you want as it is per server basis.
