RollingMinecarts
RollingMinecarts - Empty minecarts move at the same speed as occupied minecarts.
This small mod alters the behavior of unoccupied and storage minecarts so that they behave just like occupied minecarts. No longer must you use excessive booster tracks just to get a storage cart to get from one place to another. The chunks the minecarts are traveling will even stay loaded so that the cart can safely make it to it's destination. Just drop it in the plugins folder and you're good to go!
Features
- Storage carts move at the same speed as occupied carts. (configurable)
- Empty carts move at the same speed as occupied carts. (configurable)
- Keeps chunks around moving minecarts loaded. (configurable)
- Commands to count, as well as remove all (or empty) minecarts.
- Very small and efficient plugin.
Commands
- /CountMinecarts - counts all minecarts in all loaded chunks.
- rollingminecarts.count
- rollingminecarts.count
- /RemoveMinecarts - removes all minecarts in all loaded chunks.
- rollingminecarts.remove
- rollingminecarts.remove
- /RemoveEmptyCarts - removes all empty minecarts in all loaded chunks.
- rollingminecarts.remove

Can confirm this works for 1.8 !
Damn son. Good job. I could not get any other plugin working to get the same thing done (Chunkkeeper, chunkloader etc.).
it work for 1.5.2?
Still Working on 1.5.1! Thanks for your great work on this... :)
This is a fantastic plugin. I'd like the author to know I really appreciate the time and effort spent on it, thanks very much. It seems to work perfectly with 1.4.7, but if it ever needs updating I really hope you do so.
Thanks again.
Works in 1.4.7 release. Didn't have any problem in 1.4.6 either... :)
Doesnt work with 1.4.6 was hoping for an update to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of this plugins release :(
THANK U SO MUCH WORKS GREAT WIT 1.3.2 NOW I CAN RUN MY AUTOMATED TRAIN LINES
It says it is inactive and not updated but it works for 1.3.1, great plugin, solved all the problems I had with my railroad ! :D
@Kartus
I may consider implementing this Kartus when I get the time. Thanks for the advice!
@falsechicken
I'm glad I could be of help!
Good plugin :). Solved my long distance minecart issues. Chunk loading is nice. Keep up the good work!
@Deathevn666
Nevermind this worked! As far as your redstone issues go I recommend ChunkLoad as ForeverALoad is inactive.

@Deathevn666
I too am looking for something for long distance cart travel. I even tried ForeverALoad and ChunkLoad. None worked :(. Well they may have kept the chunks loaded but I know the carts didn't get through until I got there. Please let me know if you find anything.
@Trueblue1878 you can just use powered minecarts for that ;)
@TomabScblieter Can you please finally implement my requested feature of "kartus edition" in your public version? so i can set "keep chunks loaded" to affect only powered minecarts = minecarts with furnace.
you can make it easy to understand config value: "keep chunks loaded on minecarts with furnace: true","keep chunks loaded on minecarts: false", "keep chunks loaded on storage minecarts: false". so everyone will be happy. im sure other's will use this feature.
Will chunks only not be unloaded, when there is a "moving" cart or always, when there is a cart in it? I'm looking for a plugin for my server, to make long minecart tracks possible. They use redstone wiring for which the chunks have to be loaded.
I'm thinking of the use of ForeverALoad plugin and yours, because I like the idea with the speed. Is it possible or don't I have to use ForeverALoad?
I'm using v0.4.11 on my server right now. It is running fine on 1.2.5.R1.0 I'll release a new version built off the most recent RB soon just to make sure.
Also in regards to why Mojang made carts slow as they do: Probably so the carts don't get away from the players. They never think of multiplayer.
This looks great but i cant use it with 1.2.5 :( i really hope you update it soon!
ps, is there any reason why notch makes empty carts slower coz it doesnt make sense to me! All i wanna do is be able to load a cart up with items and ride with it back to base.. whats the point of having chest carts if you cant do that without using power rails every 10 blocks!
@axool
I can't find Railcraft on BukkitDev. Can you test them and let me know if they work together?
Can this work with Railcraft ?
Great plugin,I love it :)
@OldMeatBag
I've created ticket and I plan to get around to it in the next feature update.
@genesis_aix
I don't have any plans to change minecart friction. Your other feature suggestion has already been requested. I am not certain what the best way to implement that would be but you can have your voice heard here in the ticket section.
