Ranker
Usage and Scalability
Ranker can automatically run commands to give players rewards/permissions based on their performance/stat (pvp, pve, time, and wealth) that satisfy requirements defined by server Ops/Admins. With absolutely no configuration, Ranker works as a light-weight and simple stats tracker. Ranker's features and functions depends on the data in config.yml. Unlock as much or as little features and functions as you wish. Add Vault.jar and Ranker will use your server's economy currency as a stat. Define requirements, rewards, custom messages and commands and ranker works automatically. Set commands to do anything including grant players permissions, powers, items, and/or other rewards. Ops/Admins can control Ranker completely from within the game using commands. Commands can also provide feedback of current values in config.yml. Players and Console can display both online and offline player stats as well as modify them.
Ranker config.yml
Ranker's typical config.yml is organized into the following root sections:
- autorank - contains the ranks, requirements, rewards, messages, and commands
- stats - contains the appearance of of /ranker stats
- chatformat - contains the appearance of each rank title
- general - ranker chat mode, debug mode, How Ranker affect operators
- mysql - MySQL support for synchronizing player stats to database
Simple Config.yml Example
autorank: world: Peon: rankupcommand1: server:/perm player setgroup {PLAYER} {RANK} requirement: money=10 Citizen: rankupcommand1: server:/perm player setgroup {PLAYER} {RANK} requirement: money=20 stats: line2: ' &3{RANK} &2{PLAYER}' chatformat: Peon: '&a{RANK} {PLAYER}&3: &9' Citizen: '&a{RANK} {PLAYER}&3: &9' general: debug: false chat: false operator: false mysql: enable: false ip: 127.0.0.1 username: root password: password port: 3306 database: minecraft table: ranker update: 45 keepalive: true

Ranker Commands allows Complete Control over config.yml
The following are 2 examples of defining requirement(s) for the Peon rank
- description: (player must have atleast $1000 AND a pvp score of 4)
- command: /ranker worldName.Peon.requirement money=1000+pvp=4

- command: /ranker worldName.Peon.requirement money=1000+pvp=4;time=120;pve=50;pvp=30
More on how to Modify config.yml by Commands
Command parameter corresponds directly to the format within the config.yml file. The following demonstrates a sequence of changes to the config.yml with each command used. Also Note Below: Ranker displays the current value of the config node if no value parameters are included!
- permission node: ranker.* (default: op)
- command: /ranker autorank.world.Peon.rankupcommand1 server:/give {PLAYER} wood 100

@goldftwcom
Will do. Thanks for the heads up. :)
does this plugin work with tekkit do you have a version for 1.2.5. because that's what version of minecraft tekkit is. i would love to have this plugin on my server!!!
ohh could u possibly make a version for tekkit or will 1 of your versions work???
I think it would be nice to have a wider range of stats tracked by this plugin, things like deaths, sword kills, bow kills, blocks placed, distance travelled, etc.
Liking this plugin so far, gj
Do not download v1.3.1, wait for v1.3.3 which needs aproval.
@quadshield
Always /ranker save-all before you do a /reload.
Not sure if its a bug or what not, when you run reload config as a op it resets ranker stats. Your rank in the permissions file remains, but in the player data file in ranker gets reset.
I am testing it out on my test server and was adding a permission, typed reload and noticed it.
Also... I got my rank commands to work. :)
@goldftwcom
oOopS, Sorry about that, updating now!
@Eliijah
It helps to have the right version Eliijah.
@quadshield
Yes and not only does it spam saying "You have earned a new rank " It also keeps giving them the reward over and over, I had one member with 2000 oak logs. lol.
Any help would be great!
@Illunex
Ranker has changed a lot since the planning stages to scale and meet different requirements of the users. All core ideas were updated while a few details were left out in Ranker 1.3. Ranker's code is cleaner and easier to manage now with one central processing unit for handling ranking, message, and command.
thanks
@quadshield
I tested your autorank section inside Ranker's config.yml. It works fine for me.
Sorry for the double post but can't edit my previous post. I'm working and I am on my phone...
I have an idea for ranker. I know you can type /ranker stats for your stats.
How about a command for time/kills/money needed for next rank. So you don't have to look at the ranker list and find your current rank and figure it out. I know it would be the lazy way out. But thought it would be cool. Just an idea. :)
Eliijah I was also having that issue. Version 1.2.4 doesn't spam the rank up message as well as the new beta 1.3.2
I'm only having issues with rewards. I mentioned in a different post.
Sorry to be a pest but do I stop it spamming the hell out of me once I rank up?
It just keep replaying the message over and over
I got the chance to download the updated version and test it out on my test server, and the problem is gone. If it's okay with you, I'd like to know what you did to fix it, but you don't have to tell me if you don't want to.
Thanks for your work!
@Eliijah
If you mean Player kills, that would be "requirement: pvp=500" For mobs it's pve.
My config file
requirement: time= for testing.. it will change
Is there a option to rank a player after a certain amount of kills?
Such as this: autorank: world: Peon: rankupcommand1: server:/manuadd {PLAYER} HunterPro rankupmessage2: ' You earned HunterPro rank!' requirement: kills=500 ????
@quadshield
Post me your autorank section of your Ranker's config.yml.
I am using Ranker. Love it. Couple minor issues.
Using PermisionsBukkit...
permission: ranker.rankup only ranks you up, doesn't display rank up message. Rewards aren't working either. rankupcommand3: server:/eco give {PLAYER} 5 Unless that is changed as well?
Edit.. added more info Rank up message shows if I add: ranker.message.rankup Also the rankupcommand4: server:/give {PLAYER} 292 1 not working.
@TheFitSoldier
Correct, that is the purpose of Ranker. Operator/admin setup everything and Ranker works automatically. No need to manually purchase permissions/groups.
