Random Teleport
Random Teleport
Random Teleport is a simple, lightweight plugin that allows players to use a command, or button and sign to teleport them randomly to the wild based on the preferences in the config.yml!
Description
Random Teleport allows users (with the proper permission) to easily teleport into the wild with one simple command! Despite RandomTP's competitors, this plugin allows you to fully configure the plugin to your own desire! With implementation both command or sign, it's easy to let new players know that they can get to the wild easily! No more /warp wild and having that location constantly griefed, each location is randomized per player!
Installation
Simply drag RandomTP.jar into your plugins folder and reload / restart your server. The configuration file will be automatically generated.
Commands
Command | Aliases | Description |
---|---|---|
/randomtp | rtp | Teleports you to a random location in your world if it is configured with RandomTeleport. |
Permissions
Permission | Description |
---|---|
randomtp.tp | Gives permission to use /randomtp |
randomtp.signs.use | Gives permission to use signs |
randomtp.signs.create | Gives permission to create signs |
How to use signs
RandomTP utilizes signs in an entirely new way! Instead of having buttons and signs, it's purely just signs now! The sign setup should be as follows:
Line 1: [RandomTP]
Line 2: World name (i.e world, MyWorld, world_nether, etc)

@flip284
It's alright you don't have to be sorry, hell, you don't even have to use my plugin. Sorry for the confusion!
My apologies, I had the plugin of the exact same name by "InflamedSebi" he also has the exact same sign implementation as you [RandomTP]. This one looks like a great plugin too, I'll def try it if I cant fix these problems.
Uh.... I have no idea what you're talking about.
My config looks like this
Are you sure you're using my plugin?
@Dpasi314
You didn't understand my question, I mean How do you disable console logging in the console?
The config file has: console-logging: all
What do I put in place of "all" to disable it? the options are normally true/false.
Also is there a way to make it so you can only use this once? I currently have it cooldown_for_tp: 2629800, which is one month, but apparently players can use this 2-3 times a day still.
Thanks
@Dpasi314
oh that's good still...part of what I wanted for this kind of plugin :D. So the lesser, the better? In terms of the coords in the config.yml
@EverCandy
Expected, chunk generating happens on the spot. (Which is why you shouldn't have the X and Y values in the config set to completely irrational numbers like a million.) It would be less laggy if the radius of the teleport in the world was already generated.
@Dpasi314
thanks...oh ya one more thing, is it normal for the server to lag when one uses /randomtp? cause in my case, my bukkit lags for a short while(LIKE 1 SEC) whenever someone uses that command.
@bukbuk3
I'm adding that in the next update. Hang tight! (It will be in the 1.6.* update for RTP)
@EverCandy
Oh no there's not it's hard-coded in. I can add a feature for that maybe (It would maybe appear in the 1.6.* update, no promises though, but it's on the list)
@Dpasi314
I mean like when the player does /randomtp, it gives out the coords in the chatbox right? What I was wondering was if there was an option to disable the coords in the chat box when the player does /randomtp
@Dpasi314
Okay a nice feature though would be to have like a cooldown on the /randomtp or the sign randomtp
@megasnipez_
Well it will ( Not like super majorly [Well maybe, not sure not updated yet haven't tested]) I can probably fix this, but at the moment I'm way to lazy too =P I'll see if I can't' pre-generate chunks.
@Dpasi314
Thank you it worked but i have a question im testing this on a 1.6.1 craftbukkit build i found and um when you random-teleport because ive got a new map wont it lag because loading new chunks and terrain ?
@semirotta
I'll update as soon as a Beta Build of Craftbukkit is released! Hang tight until then.
update to 1.6.* quick please! :)
@megasnipez_
Oh yeah, the button needs to be on the OPPOSITE side of the block where the sign is.
@EverCandy
I'm not being biased. And I'm not arguing with you. The reason I removed your comment was because it contained inappropriate language and was not suitable for this page. Their comments don't contain that therefor I didn't remove them. Also, I don't' get what you mean? Doesn't the plugin already do that when a player teleports? It tells them the coords in their chat box.
@Dpasi314
Ok fine,I'm gonna let this matter past. I'm not gonna be some baby who complains about his kind of immature things that should have already been handled long ago. All I am saying is that those of them who posted mean comments too should also be removed like how mine was. It's just a matter of being fair and not biased. But other than that, I really enjoy this plugin, but what maybe could be improved is the option to have the coords written when the player teleports.
@Dpasi314
Its fine but did you look at my picture the sign teleport wasent working for me unless im doing it wrong Click me
@megasnipez_
I didn't ignore it, sorry. I just didn't reposed to it. I swear I was literally about too and then what happened down there erupted :L. Anyway: You shouldn't be getting that error, I thought I fixed that in v2.0.1. I'll look into it though. Sorry, I didn't mean to ignore you!
totally ignore my comment?
@colinnaruto5
I am giving him a chance, I'm not being biased, I'm just asking that people read the entire page before they ask for help.
@EverCandy
Dude, seriously, just chill out. You know as well as I do that your comment was inappropriate, and you shouldn't have posted it in the first place. And no, I'm not being biased, taking sides, I'm just trying to explain things, and people are blowing what I say out of proportion. I simply just want players to read the whole page before asking questions. Secondly, I have no idea how the Bukkit permissions work :L I've never really had to use them. I installed the plugin PermissionsEX to handle that, you can add permissions with a command and it's much easier. If you insist on using the Bukkit permissions, look on the wiki for how to use it. Sorry I'm not much help to you there.
Great, this is a plugin page, not fighting arena. Let's get back to the plugins :D
