Townships
If you want players to be able to build outside of regions, then remove EffectWilderness.jar
I renamed HeroStronghold to Townships. It has a lot more features, so I'll be updating this page over time. For now, use the sample configs that come with the plugin as an example.
Townships is the best Town plugin out there because you can require players to have houses, forges, farms, inns, hospitals, etc before they can create a town!
If you dont think minecraft is addicting enough, what about minecraft tycoon? What if you could make structures that cost money, but give you items/money over time? That's exactly what this plugin does! I imagined using this plugin as a way to reward players for building certain strutures/shrines, but it has evolved so that you can configure it to include any structure/town you want!
For instance, if a player builds a bank using certain blocks (defined in your config.yml) and has enough money, that player can type /to create bank and it will turn the bank into a Townships that, if provided the correct raw materials (paper and gold for example), can give you a steady income! The possibilities are limitless because you define the types of structures players can create in regions.yml.
Also introducing Super-Regions! Basically, super-regions are regions that require regions instead of blocks. This way you can make a super-region called Town that requires regions such as Houses, Inns, Taverns, Farms, etc. Super-regions come with their own banks, chat channels, per-user permissions, taxes, and power.
Also, this plugin hooks into Heroes so you can grant buffs and debuffs to players near your structure. For example you can build a LightningRod that grants your Heroes class name LightningMage a passive health regen buff. Work in progress Effects List.
Installation: Installation Page
Alternative Preset Configs:
Features:
- Allows permitted players to create Townships using certain blocks/money defined in config.yml
- Townships grant money/items during every cycle (cycle length defined in config.yml)
- Townships cost items/money to maintain during every cycle
- Townships can be destroyed (and even explode!) if key blocks are broken
- Townships can also grant nearby Heroes passive buffs/debuffs
- Townships can also grant build protection
- Effect List work in progress
- Super-regions which require other regions instead of blocks. So you could create a super-Townships called "Town", which requires Townships like "Inn", "Farm", a few "House", etc.
- Banks for super-regions
- Separate chat channels for each super-region
- Taxes for super-regions
- Power for super-regions (if a member dies, then their super-regions lose 1 power each. If a super-region reaches 0 power, then it is destroyed).
- Per-user permissions, see Super-Region perms
- Wars!
- Limit the number of regions players can build with groups.yml
- Biome specific regions
Requirements: Vault
Optional Requirements: Heroes, an Econ plugin, a Permissions Plugin (see vault for supported plugins)
Permissions:
- townships.create.all lets you create any township
- townships.create.<type> lets you create a township of that type
- townships.admin lets you bypass townships ownership checks
- townships.join lets a player join a super-region

Thanks, got it now.
@Multitallented
+100 points for adding priorities mate
I want my heroes classes to add new limits as they level so that's an essentially needed feature for me :)
@Dell341
It should work with the latest dev build, but the format has changed. Sorry I haven't uploaded the new documentation yet. It should be up to date when you read this message.
@Kiak
Is the groups.yml working properly? I've tried over and over to limit the amount a player can build and it's not working. I've checked the small tutorial page and added the permissions.
@anton022
I'l have a look for you if you can private message or pastebin me your Mining colonies Region file.
I have another problem. This time whenever i make a mining colony, only the regions are protected but the rest of the blocks on the super region isnt protected. it's as if the disable blockbreak/build doesn't do anything. anyone knows the reason. I have world guard on my server so im not sure if that can cause issues.
I Should also mention.... You wont see any of my build menus until you actually Pick a Class!
Town Info
Remember this is largely untested, so please let me know if i've made any errors or typos, Thanks in advance for any help
@rythar @Krglok Hey guys, i was really sick this weekend, sorry im a day late with...

I'm not quite finished the explanations but heres all the configs you need to run my set up BUT NOT THE PLUGIN JARS (download them seperately)
Full documentation is the only thing left to complete but for now there is a simple explanation of how to make it work
Back up your server folder (if you have one) and then Install the following
Once you've installed everything you wish to use, copy my entire config zip file over the top of your plugins folder
Now simply add these base permissions and you're good to go
The way my server runs all other permissions are part of the Heroes Classes, grouped according to Village Type My permissions skills already include stuff from
If you don't want to use heroes simply grab the permissions from the "/heroes/permissionsskills.yml" and add them to your normal permissions set up
Handy Aliases
That's all for now, im going back to bed :( but i promise a very complete and full explanation of everything involved by next weekend :)

Will the "/hs see [region]" command I suggested still be implemented (Check page 5). I've seen something like that done in the plugin GriefPrevention.
@Kiak
You are awesome, Ive been wanting to move away from factions and it looks like you could make things so much better for us.
ok to show a message when I leave the boarder or come in is a solution ( why difficult when there is an easier way :D)
and the configscreen is wonderul... canĀ“t wait for it : D
but I donĀ“t know what are charters and what they do ?!
and by the way i have a idea : if someone want build a shack they can build ok, but if they want destroy then he need a confirmation from the town owner to destroy his shack so that the town owner know about it and can build another shack or take his ... (possibly a confirmation to build , too ) : )) (.... or the townowner can set for every member of his town a max. number of regions they can build for e.g. 2 shacks , 1 house , ... , ... so that they donĀ“t need a confirmation to build because it would take freedom for members of the town to asl for every buildpermission , i hope you know what i mean )
: ))
..... : )) but i love this Plugin so much !! : )))))))
@C0nd3mn3d
Yes, but as it is... The problem I have found is, if a town requires 4 shacks, and 2 people own 2 each, and you make the town. if one of them happens to break a shack region that is required for the town. The town is then disabled. You can find if it is disabled via /hs who <townname>
@Kiak I love you, Please give us the config Screen for the towns :)
Need a bit of clarity here..
Say, for example, that Bob has made 2 shacks, and his friend steve has made 2 as well. The beginner superregion 'Town' requires four shacks, so they are good to go. If Bob and steve sign the same charter, are both of their buildings considered protected town land? (Depending on my config)
I've been promising a super duper premade town config for ages and I'l have it ready for download this weekend!
to get you excited here's a screen shot of the GUI menu i made for it

I see a lot of similar sentiments here.
I think the general agreement (95%) is that for a really complete comprehensive HS
and for it to eliminate all need for Factions and Towny
we need A) some upgrades to Town ownership and membership, something like
(the "Control" superregion permission, should only apply to Owner and Leader B)
B) Kiakaha finally gets a version working 100% and releases his amazing 6 different village type Config as a new alternative default config.
C) Everyone has a dance party and gets drunk! (on fermented spider eyes)
@NVA_Lee22
I don't prefer this method, i don't like plugins that do unnatural things, even for display purposes. I'd personally vote for a simple welcome message when you enter a region border.
Don't overlook guys there is already a "/hs whatshere" command. i ussualy bind it to a key and run around the area spamming it to find borders
Another good tip is to keep your region sizes as uniform as possible
It's hard to fit 3radius + 4radius + 5radius together but if they're all 4 radius you can keep them in orderly rows ;)
I was also wondering would it be possible to add it so that, if you do a thing like
regions-required-nearby: house:1:25 Where the :25 is the radius within the place you're tryin to create it or something.
So that you can use other regions as required nearby but dont have to have entire super-regions. So that you could do it where those required buildings are needed to be near each other, but can also be in a town(super-region)...
Oh yeah, I'm also curious. Is it possible to see how far along the evolutions are in game? or how close you are for a certain region to evolve exactly?
@mtjaxter mark the border with another block is a good idea : )) (e.g. Cobble or a block who is set in the config.yml to mark the border) and if someone donĀ“t like to mark the border can set it to true or false in the config.yml or destroy the blocks : ))
@kiak ok thanks for help I try it with 3 cobble and 2 sticks : ))
Can we make it so when you create a SR, it simply creates a chest where you created it, so we can always know where it was created at...
Also, make it so non-owners cannot destroy an actual region, (like if a member is added to the region, then they cannot destroy the region unless they're an owner themself)
If possible, after those 2 things, perhaps have it where it shows corner blocks of ur SR, via either a command or perhaps right click using a string or item, it shows the either border or the corners of that SR. that'd be awesome :)
Either way I REALLY need the two first things in...
