Pl3xSigns
We Have Moved
Pl3xSigns is being updated and maintained for 1.8+ over at SpigotMC.org from now on. This page will be left in-tact for legacy reasons (1.7.10 and below).
New Pl3xSigns project for MC 1.8+ http://www.spigotmc.org/resources/pl3xsigns.3578/
Description
Pl3xSigns allows users to easily edit signs without having to break them and replace them down. There are currently two options for editing, either by command or by clicking with sign in hand. Using the command you can edit one line on the sign easily and quickly. If you right click the sign while holding a sign the sign editor window will pop up again and you can edit the sign text. Both methods come with their own perm nodes.
To place a sign on a sign without triggering the sign editor just crouch (hold shift) and right click with sign.
Right click editing a sign is ONLY available when you have ProtocolLib installed on your server! It is not required, but the main feature of this plugin will be disabled without it. BKCommonLib is no longer required starting with v1.2!
Pl3xSigns also honors LWC sign protections if it is installed.
This plugin also opens up the ability to use all style and color codes on signs, including random (&k)! There is a perm node for this feature in case you don't want your users to have it.
Enjoy! ^_^
Commands
- /signedit [line] (text) Edits a line on a sign (blank text will erase the line)
Permissions
- pl3xsigns.command.signedit Allows access to use the /signedit command
- pl3xsigns.click.signedit Allows access to right click signs while holding a sign to edit them
- pl3xsigns.signs.color Allows access to use style and color codes on signs
TODO
nothing at the moment

Note:
Message in console "Player tried to edit an uneditable sign" or something of that sort is not an error message. It's just a minor bug. The plugin will still function perfectly.
Anyone interested in the latest builds of Pl3xSigns can obtain them from my Jenkins CI server for free.

@BillyGalbreath Seems like Pl3xSigns is no longer available even on Jenkins CI (from the link provided).
I would have been fine if the plugin works for 1.11.2. Unfortunately, it seems to auto-disable on its own due to unsupported version.
I know we are not entitled to future updates for plugins but I'm sure many of us will appreciate if you can provide a release that's compatible with 1.11.X versions, especially those of us who purchased Pl3xSigns on Spigot. Thank you!
Sorry about that. Was cleaning house and disabled too many things. The link should be working again.
@Ubique1964
Yes, this time it was done on purpose.

I am trying to figure out what happened. I didn't not remove it, nor was I notified by staff of any action.Ok, so apparently it was auto deleted due to inactivity, even though no update was needed. The plugin is back up, but I have to push an update soon or the system will remove the plugin again. So, expect a useless update just to show activity soon.
@MayorMike
You know what happened?
Pl3xSigns on the Spigot Page no longer exist. Just posted to inform other users.
We Have Moved
Pl3xSigns has been updated for MC 1.8, but we've moved over to SpigotMC.org from now on. This page will remain here for legacy (1.7.10 and below) reasons.

Ok, I got the plugin updated today. Its in a huge mess of nasty code at the moment, though. The changes with signs in 1.8 were more drastic than I had originally realized, and it took some huge changes to overcome those hurdles.
The end result is that v2.0 will be for Spigot only. Bukkit alone simply doesn't have the ability to do this stuff without using NMS directly. I know this isn't seen as a good thing to everyone, but I feel this is an "okay" move seeing as the 1.8 version of CraftBukkit was built by the Spigot team. The older builds (v1.4 and below) still work fine for CraftBukkit and Spigot servers 1.7.10 and below.
Tomorrow I'll clean up the code and do some more testing to make sure it's a top quality plugin for you guys, then I'll release it to the public.
Notable changes in tomorrow's release of v2.0 for those using Spigot 1.8:
@BillyGalbreath
Great! Love this plugin!
Taking this project back. Will update to 1.8 asap.
@maxlehot1234
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I got bored of Minecraft and stop coding for it and playing it. I recently got back into it and I am back into coding. Have my own server I'm working on but I will try to update these plugins when I have time.
Do you have protocol lib installed? That also might be outdated with the lasted craftbukkit version.
I have a bug...: http:pastebin.com/EACc1g6C
@gumgumpuntnl
Try using a different version of ProtocolLib, instead of the latest snapshot

@tylerthecreeper1
I mean the bukkit version (#3078)
Error's, please look at http://pastie.org/9140469
It seems that the signs are updating, but the console is giving these error's.
@gumgumpuntnl
By minecraft server version 1.7.9, do you mean Minecraft client 1.7.9?
Please post a pastebin link of your console errors, it will be easier to help you than just telling me your versions :P
@tylerthecreeper1
Hello Tyler,
I'm using the following:
Bukkit version is 1.7.2-R0 (#3078), minecraft server version 1.7.9
ProtocolLib v3.4.0-SNAPSHOT (#247)
LWC v4.5.0-SNAPSHOT (#917)
Pl3xSigns v1.4 (#13)
Still error's (see my previous post).
@JK82NL
Hello :)
@gumgumpuntnl
Don't create errors there anymore :P i'l put a link up for my BitBucket repository of the plugin.
Also, are you using ProtocolLib? The description above states, to use right clicking of the sign, you need protocollib installed.
