Pl3xSigns
We Have Moved
Pl3xSigns is being updated and maintained for 1.8+ over at SpigotMC.org from now on. This page will be left in-tact for legacy reasons (1.7.10 and below).
New Pl3xSigns project for MC 1.8+ http://www.spigotmc.org/resources/pl3xsigns.3578/
Description
Pl3xSigns allows users to easily edit signs without having to break them and replace them down. There are currently two options for editing, either by command or by clicking with sign in hand. Using the command you can edit one line on the sign easily and quickly. If you right click the sign while holding a sign the sign editor window will pop up again and you can edit the sign text. Both methods come with their own perm nodes.
To place a sign on a sign without triggering the sign editor just crouch (hold shift) and right click with sign.
Right click editing a sign is ONLY available when you have ProtocolLib installed on your server! It is not required, but the main feature of this plugin will be disabled without it. BKCommonLib is no longer required starting with v1.2!
Pl3xSigns also honors LWC sign protections if it is installed.
This plugin also opens up the ability to use all style and color codes on signs, including random (&k)! There is a perm node for this feature in case you don't want your users to have it.
Enjoy! ^_^
Commands
- /signedit [line] (text) Edits a line on a sign (blank text will erase the line)

TODO
nothing at the moment

Note:
Message in console "Player tried to edit an uneditable sign" or something of that sort is not an error message. It's just a minor bug. The plugin will still function perfectly.
Could you hook into LWC so people can't edit other people's protected signs?
Uploaded v1.3
Fixed:
Uploaded v1.2
Rewrote the entire plugin from the ground up with modern methods and practices which yield a much better user experience.
I took down the screenshots as they did not do this plugin any justice. I'll upload a video real soon so you guys can really see the power of this plugin. ^_^
Pretty Cool :D
Just needs to be updated xD
Thank you for this awesome plugin! Makes it easier for me to edit signs than having to break them just to fix an error I wrote on a sign. ^_^
@BillyGalbreath
Thats the perfect way to do it (keeping them seperate). Thanks for this one :)
Nice plugin I like it :) Good Work :)
@BillyGalbreath
Essentials isn't all linked.
@Incompy
Actually, I keep them separate to keep the server running smoother. Monster "all-in-one" plugins put a major strain on the main loop. Not to mention, admins can pick certain plugins of mine that they want, without extra features they don't want.
Example: I refuse to use Essentials because of wha tI just mentioned, so I use an alternative RoyalCommands. However, RC lately has become too bloated. Its not just basic commands anymore. Its a plugin manager, a world manager, basic commands, plug so much more now. Every time I update that plugin I have to break it open and disable/remove about 40% of it that I don't want. Especially the crap that conflicts with other plugins I use.
Soon, there will be a Pl3xCommands plugin that is specifically just for basic commands. The way RC used to be.
I still have about half a dozen more plugins I haven't put up online at all, and 3 more plugins that are already online, just haven't posted to this site yet.
:P
You should just merge all of your plugins.
