OtherDrops
Make anything drop anything, anyhow!

OtherDrops allows you to add anything from a simple "glass drops glass" or mob rewards, to a complex overhaul of your servers drops with drops differing depending on tools, biome, time, weather and much more, along with custom messages, actions and commands.
OtherDrops is lightweight* (it only acts on what you configure) and respects most protection plugins (eg. WorldGuard, Regios) settings. Many examples are included that you can enable and/or customize as you wish.

Conditions
- Multi-world support - create separate files to handle each world
- Add super rare drops with chance values down to 0.000000001%
- Specify tools required (or a list of tools eg. [any sword, -diamond sword])
- Lorename, Heroes (class & level) conditions
- Cooldowns
Actions
- Apply actions alongside the drop (or even without a drop)
- Damage tools and/or consume items (eg. use dyes to color wool)
- Damage or heal the victim, player or even the whole world
- Apply potion effects to the victim, player, radius, world or server
- Display custom messages (or a list of messages with one selected at random)
- Create explosions, lightning, visual effects (including particles), sound effects
- Run commands
Ideas
- Give leaves various chances of dropping apples, sticks, cocoa beans, saplings, etc on break and/or leaf decay.
- Make glass, stairs, and boats reclaimable (can be tool-specific if you wish).
- Allow gold and iron to be mined directly into ingots with a golden pickaxe.
- Allow users to right-click on cobblestone with vines in hand to turn the cobblestone mossy.
- Nerf mob traps by disabling drops from environmental damage.
- Unleash the zombie apocalypse by setting zombies to drop zombies when they die! (This can be world-specific.)
- Make mobs that don't normally spawn naturally spawn.
- Make mob spawning, drops, and events biome specific!

Dev Builds
Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.

Would you like to help improve OtherDrops? Here are some ways to get involved:
- Media/art: OtherDrops could really do with some tutorial and example videos.
- Testers: Testers who are able to go through the plugin and rigorously check that things (both existing and new features) work as they should. PM Zarius your Skype (or other IM) details if you're interested or jump on the IRC channel.
- Programming: any assistance is welcomed - see the todo list here for some ideas. Anyone with refactoring and/or automated testing experience that wants to assist would be great.

i dont beleive the drops can start a sequence of events. It may be possible, but i dont recall seeing any previous examples
I want to create an explosion-event and a message before it explodes. So I put a delay and message, but the message only occurs when the explosion does. Is there any way to make the message before the explosion??? I don't find a way by myself :(

@Folas1337 Nothing is defined as a drop. It is used to override the default drops.

Don't use NOTHING and AIR instead. I'm not sure if NOTHING is declared ;)

It also appears that percentage-based chance values are reversed when using the following syntax: drop: COAL/10%. IE: a chance value of 10% yields 90% drop rates. All of my previous posts and this one are using beta 8.
Possible bug: With the following in my otherdrops: section, when nothing drops, the block re-appears a few moments later.
This seems to happen with all ore type blocks. Removing the UNIQUE flag from all items also seems to fix it. I'm not sure if this is intended behavior or not.

po5 is right, but I wasn't able to find a way to affect the "decaying" (placing a block next to cactus) of cactus. You have to find a tool or action that affects the decaying. I was testing a bit but wasn't able, so Good Luck :)
I see your tester has been banned. If you need someone to test it, I'm willing to run any betas that are compatible with 1.0.1 on my server. I'm going to be using the pretty basic features, just modify drop rates based on the tool used. I have development experience though so I may be able to help pinpoint any bugs i experience.

if nothing drops when u destroy it by not being a player, add drops for players below with

I would try this by using toolexclude or what it's called and then type:Doesn't work! Otherwise I would try using Fruitful, it might be able to do it...toolexclude: ALL

That might work, but I'm not sure. Just try a little and see if anything happens :)
This mod seems great, but i have a question before i want to try it out.
Can i disable Drops from Cacti and Reeds if they are not destroyed by a Player?
Hi i checked my drops config through the YAML parser, no errors. I reload with no errors in server log, (im just trying out those standard includes like the ore exctraction to check it works). But when i break a block ect nothing happens, i tried /od show and nothing. Thanks for any help you can give, an example is LOG: -tool:ANY drop:NOTHING message:"The log crumbled into nothing" chance:75% This is the only one i did myself

When will a (really working) version for 1.0.0 be out? Leaf-breaking doesn't work (due to default apple-drops?) and many other things seem to be broken or did I do something wrong??Okay, it all works. Was a mistake by me. Thanks again for this AAAAAAAAAWESOME plugin!!!Yeah...what on earth am I doing wrong with this; otherdrops keeps complaining about syntax and I've changed it every way I can think of. It bombs out for every creature on the XP part.

Thx reality, great suggestions. Unfortunately i still cant get it to work. I tried all kinds of things but when the event: EXPLOSION triggers, everything around it drops its vanilla content

I'm assuming you're trying to make glowstone explode into wool only when you mine it with a gold pick axe.
GLOWSTONE:
- tool: GOLD_PICKAXE

drop: WOOL
- tool: ANY_EXPLOSION
drop: WOOL
With the config you provided, it would drop glowstone dust for the initial block because there's no drop: WOOL defined there. The explosion should drop wool, but it's not clear what explosion type the plugin creates. Therefore ANY_EXPLOSION is probably necessary as tool. Hopefully that works for you.
