Open MineZ
Open MineZ
OpenMZ is a open-source recreation of the famous ShotBow gamemode MineZ. (check it out at play.shotbow.net; great community, great players, great map). With OpenMZ you can turn your server into a Minecraft - DayZ hybrid. In its current state, it adds all the features of Shotbow's MineZ plus much more.
OpenMZ provides the majority of plugin capabilities to create a full clone of MineZ (except the map, of course). However, it also comes with a multitude of customization settings to make it your own.

A semi-complete, though not extensive, feature list is as follows:
Loot Chests
Chests can be configured, loaded, saved, placed, and destroyed all from inside the game. Specify different chest templates, all with their own item probabilities, durability probabilities, loot amounts, and zombie spawn settings.
Zombies
Zombies are faster, stronger, and smarter in OMZ. It takes the MineZ typical zombie AI and improves upon it. Zombie hordes will tell their brethren about a potential target, and move faster than usual without the choppy MineZ zombie movement.
Player Zombies
Instead of dropping their loot, players succumb to the Zombie disease. Their corpse must be killed again to get their loot.
Max Item Stacks
Configure the max amount of each item can be in a stack all from one file.
Custom Items
OpenMZ provides an easily-extendable custom item interface that allows you to create your own legendary items (developers only)
Bleeding
Every time a player takes damage, there is a small (configurable) chance that they will start bleeding, which is only cured by use of a bandage. Every time they bleed to take a configurable amount of damage.
Thirst
Players lose thirst over time (represented by their XP level). They must drink from a water bottle in order to regain thirst to the max amount.
Disease
Zombies have a low chance to give a player their disease. This disease requires drinking an antidote and deals damage over time.
Configurable
All of OMZ is designed to be configurable and extendable. A custom item system is planned to allow other developers to create complex new items. Even the messages sent to the players can be configured. Simply type */omz config* to get an interactive, clickable menu.
wish there was a little more on the this..... like what is the antidote what are bandages..
For example does this plugin protect the land ...or can they destroy it.........
Hey, thanks for this plugin it's amazing! Im making a server network i think i will use your plugin for my minez server. I was wondering if you would like to be a private plugin dev and start a hub server with me? I have all the funding all I need is to have someone make plugins for it it would be amazing if you could and you would get full credit and you would be a co-owner of the server.There's only 120 people playing in my server but maybe you will be interested.
Kind Regards,
FightManiac
If you guys are getting errors, please report them to the Bug Forum. Make sure to include the console error/log.
@soulscapex see PIGMAN_FOCUS.
i have a console error and no zombies are spawning only pigmen
HUGE error with 1.7.2
This is a great map to start with: Click here to download it!
This Looks Awkward To Setup Anyone Got A Tutorial?
Anyone got any good maps that are usable with this plugin?
@EdwardOfLinster
It'll work just fine on 1.6.4 and probably 1.6.2. I was hoping to update to 1.7.2 when the bukkit api has full functionality for its new features, but since that won't be the case I'll probably upload a compatibility build asap.
Does this plug in still work?
Maybe starting this from scratch would be awesome :/
And after testing those features and closed minecraft. I looked at my console and found these: I am not developer but I think this plugin have many errors :o
Okey I tried. Results: /omz chest list prints chest list ( WORKING ) /omz chest mil_epic won't give me chest. I tried every other chest template too... ( NOT WORKING ) Zombies, there wasn't much zombies. You should add more zombie spawning. Thirts ( WORKING ) /omz doesn't print commands ( NOT WORKING )
Console: And
I am trying, but it gonna be the last time! I'll post you everything suspicious, FelonFalcon.
@sh0nx
Fixed the overall guide. It should work on R2 so I'm not sure why you can't use it; I'm using it on my dev environment just fine.
@Vampirictorch the command is /omz setspawn [name]. You need a name in there.
@DewTheMelon
So this plugin doesn't add Thirst to the game? If so what version of Bukkit are you running? To get it working i had to downgrade from 1.6.4 R2 to 1.6.4 R1 Try that buddy!
i would love to use it but when i do /omz setspawn it does not set a spawn and I can not gain access to the overall guide, says no access so I can not read all the commands.
This is worthless....................... No errors, but still not chests working I typed /omz chest mil_epic Nothing happened, no message, no chest -.- I can't see any zombies around. This plugin doesn't add anything only few messages -.- Seriously I am bored to try over and over again.
This mod seems amazing!! Am really excited to get it working 100% Had to downgrade from 1.6.4 R2 down to 1.6.4 R1 of the Bukkit build to get it working PS: i didn't know there were custom items instead of just the original fishing rod for example
Also the "overall guide" isn't available for anyone to see
@DewTheMelon
I don't believe that is the case; I have this 100% functional out of the box on my own computer and a friend's. See my PM
