Open MineZ
OpenMZ is a open-source recreation of the famous ShotBow gamemode MineZ. (check it out at play.shotbow.net; great community, great players, great map). With OpenMZ you can turn your server into a Minecraft - DayZ hybrid. In its current state, it adds all the features of Shotbow's MineZ plus much more.
OpenMZ provides the majority of plugin capabilities to create a full clone of MineZ (except the map, of course). However, it also comes with a multitude of customization settings to make it your own.

A semi-complete, though not extensive, feature list is as follows:
Loot Chests
Chests can be configured, loaded, saved, placed, and destroyed all from inside the game. Specify different chest templates, all with their own item probabilities, durability probabilities, loot amounts, and zombie spawn settings.
Zombies
Zombies are faster, stronger, and smarter in OMZ. It takes the MineZ typical zombie AI and improves upon it. Zombie hordes will tell their brethren about a potential target, and move faster than usual without the choppy MineZ zombie movement.
Player Zombies
Instead of dropping their loot, players succumb to the Zombie disease. Their corpse must be killed again to get their loot.
Max Item Stacks
Configure the max amount of each item can be in a stack all from one file.
Custom Items
OpenMZ provides an easily-extendable custom item interface that allows you to create your own legendary items (developers only)
Bleeding
Every time a player takes damage, there is a small (configurable) chance that they will start bleeding, which is only cured by use of a bandage. Every time they bleed to take a configurable amount of damage.
Thirst
Players lose thirst over time (represented by their XP level). They must drink from a water bottle in order to regain thirst to the max amount.
Disease
Zombies have a low chance to give a player their disease. This disease requires drinking an antidote and deals damage over time.
Configurable
All of OMZ is designed to be configurable and extendable. A custom item system is planned to allow other developers to create complex new items. Even the messages sent to the players can be configured. Simply type */omz config* to get an interactive, clickable menu.

I have one more question FelonFalcon, or anyone else who knows:
Whenever I type /omz spawn It will give me my items and pt them in my inv, however say "An internal Error has occurred while trying to perform this command" or something. I'm not sure if this is a glitch or whether it is a clash with one of my other plugins Thanks!

Ive already tried setting them to 0<sub> and used the force spawn command neither produce a chest. im so happy the spawn inventory works</sub> but i cant get the chest to work.

It Comes up that I dont have any spawn points set Could you give me a list of a few commands please? and/or permissions

When you use beta 4 you only have to type /omz spawn in the chat.
can we have a list of permissions and Commands please! Its hard to actually set this thing up on my server without knowing the commands especially when you type /omz help it just comes up with FelonFlacon made it :P It would be really handy thanks!

no, it should work fine without any permissons. If you want players to pick their spawn, give them the omz.choose-spawn permission.

Easier yet, config -> settings -> force respawn to assure they're all there.
Unless you want them to respawn constantly in regular game as well.

shure i you have to change that chest spawn even if you are close next to it

I really have to say BEST MINEZ PLUGIN ON BUKKIT is it really the best one thanx.
My error:
I'm getting the begin items BUT i'm not spawning where i wanted to spawn. I done already /omz setspawn test but spawning is not working for me?
When i'm in the game and try another command like: /omz spawn list I'm getting: An internal error occured while attempting to perform this command.

using the new beta let me just say OMG love the config thing<sub> </sub>
i just have a few questions <sub> i set teh chest and they dont seem to be spawning,</sub>
and i dont understand the zombie focus... so do i want to get the cords from z and x at the end of my map <sub> cause </sub> for somereason zombie pigman spawning everywehre.

The ID value is set by bukkit's own database api. I have no control over it so I'm looking for a fix.

Can both of you go to your bukkit.yml and make sure you have the following lines?

This is a bukkit problem as well it seems. Are you running the correct version of bukkit? I'll update to R.2 soon.
